I thought about Lioness all day at work (when I wasn't thinking about my TargetGuy, sigh!). It's probably take me a month to come up with an August scent description!

I don't want to write a review. I love Lioness so much I would write an ODE to this fragrance! It is orange, but not the orange of citrus. It is a fiery orange sunrise with dust and haze shimmering in the air. It is the strength and wisdom of the lioness as she surveys her world. It is the sweet, spicy breeze that blows on a hot day as it passes over grasses that bow before it. It is the knowing that all the power you need is within.

There have been scents I've liked before, and some I've loved. Lioness goes beyond that somehow; it creates an aura that I move within.

Just WOW.

Alright I am out for the night LP world. I will prolly be on tomorrow lots as I think I am going to play hooky from work. I am a lil groggy from taking a sleeping pill so I apologize if none of this makes sense.

I found out my dad is in the hospital. No other news as he is in BElize. Something to do with his heart...not good. I dont think he has much more time left and it is destroying me ( I just found out).

Anyways sorry for plunking this on this thread...I am going to fall asleep on my computer now...nite

I agree with starlitegirl that DYG has a really easy-going vibe. I wore Synchronicity, which has DYG added, to work today because I knew I would be working with a group of women who can be hard to get along with. I thought it was going to be a really difficult morning, but every one of them was laid-back and chatty. If they started off with bad attitudes, the negativity dissipated, and we all seemed to fall in sync and were able to work together congenially. It was a remarkable difference from other days this week.

All of my picks in my most recent order were blind and unsniffed, and they ALL hit the mark!

I think I've learned enough about myself and fragrance that I can read the descriptions and know what will work and what will appeal to me. Yay!

I just got my full bottle of Pure sugar with EST added in.And OMGawd I forgot how wonderful pure sugar is all on its own! At first its a slightly pink sugar , then it turns to pure white sugar sweetness , kinda like white frosting. And with added Est. it makes my man calm .........

Mine came today, and in addition to the bottle of Pure Sugar with EST, there was a sample vial of Pure Sugar alone. I tried the sample, and my first thought was why, oh why did I wait so long to get this? It is butter, light sugar, icing, soft sweetness -- just an absolutely lovely fragrance to float along on! I just want to lean my head on my arm, close my eyes, and breathe in this scent.

***contented sigh***

Sexology is niiiicccceeee!! I just got my order, and I dabbed some of this on my wrist. Lots of honey at first, but it softened and blended into a honey/brown sugar scent. Now, after an hour, there's just soft musky cinnamony skin scent. There is definitely something about this fragrance that draws one in. There's a sense of mystery about it, like looking into someone's eyes and seeing into their soul.

I think your question must have slipped through the cracks. Someone with more experience can probably add to this, but I think Drop Your Guard encourages approachability, while SoulMate encourages bonding with someone who's already in your circle.

Sugared Pure with EST is a great combo! I put it on everyday.

Can't wait to get it! I got the shipping notification today, so all I have to do is haunt the mailbox!

Nope, this will be my first bottle of Sugared Pure. I've read a lot of good things about it, and I saw Ajia's post somewhere mentioning the combination with EST. That sounded really good, especially since it would be a good way to add EST to any of my fragrances until I decide whether I want to invest in a bottle of EST alone. I'm finding that it and Betanol are really good to wear around the two guys that I work with.

I am really thankful for the OT, because I didn't expect any this year considering the economy and the workforce reduction we had last month. I'm saving a lot but enjoying some of the "extra" as well.

Well, I'm waiting on an order with Sugared Pure spiked with EST, Lioness spiked with Beta-androstenol, Sexology, and unscented Soulmate.

Got some more overtime this week, so I might have to do some more shopping! LOL

Good things are worth waiting for. And be assured that the LPs you ordered are very good things!

As for Happy Water -- I love this one. On gut feeling, I bought two bottles unsniffed, and I was not disappointed at all.

This is delicious! Wet: The sweet figs and raspberries are sauted in a warm brown sugar and vanilla sauce. The honey adds the perfect warm sexy zest. A hint of dark chocolate whispers around the edges, just barely there. After it dries, the fruit has softened quite a bit. It is like vanilla honey with a hint of fig. Super sexy! Those that like honey, will love this one! This would also make a great phero cover...

SB, you said it so well, I'm just gonna say, "What she said!!"

I put Hexen on after my shower last night and went to relax with a book. I was out of sorts from a stressful week at work and an oncoming cold. Right away, I noticed the greenness of this scent, but as it dried, an earthy spicy fragrance came forward and then the tea became more apparent. There's definitely a grounding feel to this one. As I read, I realized I was truly into the book and not having to pull my thoughts back to what I was reading -- the stress just slipped away. And I slept well, without waking up in the middle of the night thinking about my job as I had been doing earlier in the week. I could still smell a hint of tea when I woke up this morning.

I know I'm not describing the scent well -- Scourger's review said it better than I can. I LOVE this one.

I got a sample of Breakfast in Bed in my package, too, and WOW! is all I can say. I have so many samples along with the things I ordered that I truly don't know what to try first. Many thanks for all the samples!

I tried this one today and loved it from the bottle - it smells like sweet old school candy [can't place my finger on it - but cherry something - not super sweet cherries]. when i put it On i smell cherries, vanilla florals, then the cherrish scent dies down and the vanilla floats in and out I really like this one [on it was very strong with a good throw]

 

but alas this seems to be another skin drinker for me - 1/2 hr later and i smell nothing - if i get real close and inhale real hard i can get a faint something - This will have to be a slather scent or maybe if i mix it with sugared cherries i can get the scent to last longer as i really like it

Vain has the same effect on me. It is a lovely scent, but it disappeared very quickly.

Dolly was right on with her Bazooka bubblegum comparison. When I first put Vain on, Dolly's comment popped into my mind. As the scent dried down, there was more of a minty essence under a light spicy scent. Between Vain and Sabra's Secret, I like Sabra better, and Sabra's scent lasts far longer on my skin.

Isn't it the case that some of the scents are hard to make a comeback or match the original version due to different distributors or difference in ingredients from one batch to another? I guess in that case as much as people might want a comeback, it would be hard to match some potions from one edition or brew to the next.

That's true, and some of the potions have ingredients that can't be found again, which is what makes the potions very limited editions. Best thing to do is to buy what you want when you see it if you can.

I learned my lesson with Sandman Snoozeth. I missed the boat on a full-size bottle so I'm using my sample sparingly and savoring the scent when I wear it.

This scent is like nothing I've ever smelled before. Like I said earlier, I wanted this one particularly for the properties not as a scent per se. I think you'll like it. Make sure you post here after you try it and let us know.
