I know how you feel. So far I've converted some of my Glamour Puss into spray, but I'm afraid to do the same with my UN phero trials.

I'm not too worried about the Cougar because I was already having some trouble with it, so the conversion in this case was done with the hope of improving things. As for the others, I made small enough sprays so that I still have some of the oil left; if everything goes wrong with the Un sprays at least I'll have a portion of the unadulterated trials to use.

I just made sprays for the first time. Messing with the experts' hard work makes me feel a bit like I've just done one of these, though:

I made small bottles of Un Leather and Gotcha! and a slightly larger (still travel-sized) bottle of Cougar to see if it works for me more consistently as a spray.

I've certainly tried to OD on one or two occasions just to see if I was a non-responder or what. More than anything I'm impressed that it didn't knock you sideways, Banshee. You're hardcore!

Wow. This one sounds amazing and an excellent alternative to the vibe and scent of Cougar.

Mine shipped today. For some reason that news makes me feel like running around in circles.

Got the first ship notice two days ago, so the parcel should arrive at the post on Sunday. That means I'll get the parcel on Tuesday. Getting really excited to see what Mara has created!

My fiance used to hate LP Rouge. He still laughs at how he used to call it "smokey poo". And, if I put it on and he takes a whiff while still wet, he'll tell me he doesn't like it... but half an hour later, he comes and asks what I'm wearing, because "it smells nice"! I can guarantee he did not "will" himself to liking it!

Hmmm... I tried this one yesterday for the first time. I was hoping to get some info from my soon to be ex-manager about how my yearly review is likely to unfold.

I got the UN trial and began with 3 drops on the back of my hands. I wanted to be cautious. Nothing happened - not to me, not to anyone around me. Before my meeting with the manager, I applied 3 more drops on the back of my hands. We were 5 feet from each other in a tiny conference room for about 15 minutes. Nothing... Nothing happened the rest of the day either.

I guess I have to keep experimenting.

And that's what I meant when I said there is a progression to liking LP scents. My first couple of months of wearing LP Rouge made me think I could never wear any honey. And then, one day, something magical happened!

Ah okay; I was referring to a different experience - for years I was very firm on not liking certain types of scents because I'd had bad experiences with particular notes, and then once I became a regular LPMP customer and tried everything in a sampler I found that I was unnecessarily limiting myself because Mara is just that good.

I've had both of those experiences and I've learned that I can't always judge things just by the notes and that my response to certain LPs can change over time. I read that all over these boards when I first joined but was very incredulous that you could just suddenly like something you hadn't. I thought people must have been willing themselves to like perfumes they didn't really enjoy that much. I was totally wrong; it really can happen!

If Mara can make me like patch after hating it my whole life then anything is possible!

Ditto! I am no longer disgusted/frightened when I see it listed in the notes because it is actually possible for it to smell good. Revelation!

 

I agree. Barring emergency dental work and if you don't beat me to it, I will request one when PEs reopen. I would just love a virgin bottle, maybe even in a spray (mmmm Unisexy hair!) Or even just something similar if it can't be exactly duplicated. It's just so good!

Am I the only one who can't get anything from LFM?

 

I have a decant, in oil. It was in a 5 ml roller ball bottle. I tried it a few times and never got any obvious hits or selfies. I put it in a different roller ball, to try and get it to apply easier. I get more out now, but still nothing. I'm swiping on my wrists, and along my collarbone. I've tried it at work (both jobs), with Mr Perfect, at home with my kids.. I'm ready to give up..

I have had some results but they have been really rather inconsistent. Sad stuff because the description/intention of this one is right up my street. I might try it in spray because I've varied the application amount from 2-6 drops (I have it in a Pheromas trial size) so don't know what more I can do on that front and I know some folks have found with certain pheros the change from oil to spray can make something work that hasn't so much before.
