  1. Make that seven times I've been stopped for information about this scent. The last time was hysterical. A little boy, maybe eight-years-old walked up beside me at the art museum, politely said excuse me and whispered,"Ummmm, can you tell me what perfume you're wearing? My dad's a chicken."

I responded,"Well, my goodness! Chickens are awesome! You can give him a card with the information."

I wrote the name "A Wake" on a sticky note and gave the boy one of the LPMP cards that come in the parcels. The little boy thanked me and went sprinting back to his dad yelling, "Dad, she's awake, and she likes chicken! "

The dad sheepishly looked up at me from a bench, laughed and said, "I didn't want to seem like a creep. I want to get a bottle for my wife."

Bless 'em. They made my day.

  2. I absolutely love this! I spent part of yesterday cutting herbs to dry, pulling the spent zucchini, watermelon and cucumber vines, brushing against all the garden plants that were still damp from the morning rain. The mornings are starting to cool off here, all dew-heavy . The scent of the leaves and herbs cling to your skin when you brush your hands atop them. This scent is exactly that. Beautiful!

  3. How is it that I'd never opened the gifty vial Mara included? I found this at the bottom of my perfume chest, hidden beneath a zippered silk carrying pouch that contains my 'go to' samples. Put on a dab late last night before I sat down to brush the dogs.

First of all, the dogs went loopy! Absolutely convinced I had a treat hidden in my hand. I don't blame them. This is really yummy. It is the perfume version of oatmeal pecan chewies. Spent a silly amount of time sniffing my arm. Very warm and spicy, inviting and cuddly without going too sweet. The cinnamons are out of this world. Definitely a wee vial that won't last through month's end.

  4. Just popping by to say thank you for every beautiful effort you make to provide your customers with such an incredible and individually precious experience ~ each and every time. You're a wonder, you and yours. Many hugs and sweet cat naps (I know you won't truly sleep) now that this sale is taking a final bow. At least take the time to soak up the appreciation. ((♡))

  5. Wore A Wake to dinner tonight and was stopped twice! My son stopped me and said, "Wow! What are you wearing? It smells really good!"

Not five minutes later, a waiter asked me where I got my perfume. He wanted to buy a bottle for his girlfriend. I wrote down the info for him. Hopefully, you'll have a new Indiana customer!

  6. rain_dancer, Mara carries scent lockets. They make all the difference for me with scents I love but cannot wear. The scent doesn't come in contact with your skin, but the scent carries very well. You might ask her about the lockets.

  7. This is yucky. Run away and pretend you never heard of A Wake. Boo! Hiss!! Move along, little doggies. Nothing to see here.

Ok, in all seriousness, this is EXACTLY what it says it is. That's all you need to know. Except that if you do get a bottle, you're going to kick yourself for not ordering two, like I am right this minute. Damn! I might, try to justify one last purchase just to get one more bottle of this mesmerizing scent. I DO need some stocking stuffers, and Mara's shop has loads if those. Oh, this is intoxicating stuff. Evil stuff. Tempting me stuff. Waaahh!!!

  8. Cheesy, get on the Vivid Violet Train! My bottle arrived yesterday and I let it settle a day. It is wonderful. Fresh, clean violet. There is depth to this violet, but it absoluteky did not go nodding off into the old lady talc arena. The grape and lime, on my skin, only acted to brighten the feel of the violet . Imagine violets beaded in glorious morning dew before the heat of the day causes them shrink and hide even in the shade. I love this scent. Grab one if you get the chance!

  9. This is the creamiest spiced pudding. I barely sense the apple, but that's fine. I can always layer with Sugared Apple if I want more orchard and less pudding. But, I digress.

The cardamom..oh me oh my, the cardamom. It adds exactly the weight of the scent that you get from fresh pods. It does not amp on my skin, it just swirls around in the puddingness and sends me intoxicatingly spicy olfactory love notes.
