  1. I can't do all lavenders (they run to sharp and nose poking if at all medicinal), and many Amber's overtake every other note on my wonky skin. Never got to try Beautiful Dreamer, so I'd be fibbing if I said I'm not anxious about trying the new scented BB. When you all get your samples, chime in, please.

I HATE this keyboard. It keeps putting words in my virtual mouth.

  2. Welcome to the best smelling addiction on the planet. Definitely take advantage of the November Pheromas. Good prices and plenty of samples/scents to try.

I personally like Star Power with Popularity Potion from the Sigil Collection. It is a beautiful scent with just the right touch for social situations, especially those with catty women.

What scents do you favour/which favour you?

  3. This is becoming increasingly difficult.

  4. Ok, tried this one again last night before bed. Wow, this is completely different since I tried it last. Travel shock is completely gone. NO Ricola Cough Drop at all. Honey and lemon infused tea with transcendent Ahhhhhhh-ja. I liked this a few days after it arrived. I LOVE it today!

This has moved from a meditative scent to a close-to-the-skin calming scent. Aja always has a lux feel on my skin. Combine that with the soft honey and this creates a feeling of lounging in warm silk pajamas, snuggled in front of the fire with a cuppa and a twist of lemon. Pure bliss.

  5. Alright,Mara, you little sneak! You've made a believer out of me..again! Freesia, always a death knell..that's practically my MO. So, how to explain the fact that this little gem of juicy happiness works for me? I've no idea, bit I'm ecstatic that it does!

Bright, happy apricots and figs with a warm sweetness, and a hint of sesame ~ which seamlessly combines with the toasty buttery pecan quality. This is a dress up/dress down scent, and wearable year 'round for me. Mara, you never cease to amaze.

  6. At first, I pick up a bit of refreshing cedar or pine and not quite ripe muddled plum, and something Ricola-like. The mint and Ricola fade within about five minutes and the plum comes forward, now beginning to warm. There's a hint of barely nose-tickling spice (forgotten what the notes are here, save the plum). I forgot to read the description when the sample arrived, but thete seems to be a tart citrus in the background that brightens the plum~sort of the samexeffect as adding orange or lemon zest to a plum or blueberry dish. After about 20 minutes, the citrus is nearly nonexistent. The spices are coming into play. This truly reminds me of steaming a pudding, how you only smell one or two ingredients when you first place something into into the pot, but as it heats the scents warm and the oils in the spices release.

After an hour this gradually changed into a spicy, healing plum tea scent on my skin. This dances into the same arena as infusion for me. I'd use this more than likely as a focus or meditation potion, as this one seems to want to pull me forward and move me ahead on a path.
