  1. Verrrrry excited about all but two. I am worried about the patch and the deep, dark resins in Mefium and Tattooed Lady;however, a few drops may just find their way into a warmer..or into the scent lockets Mara has in the shop. I'm willing to give anything a go.

I absolutely loved Haystack, Hauntings, and Cocoa Snuggle so I think Distant Calliope is going to be a stunner.

I know Carny, Fairground and Winner are going to be amazing. Sweet, it goes without saying (but, I will anyway), is likely going to be so damned good I may bathe in it.

I never got to try Heartland. Hoping the Vardo is along that line. Have to see where this carnival carries me.

  2. Used this for the guest bath a month or more ago to rave reviews~from the gent! Said it was soothing and refreshing after a long couple of flights from UK. The Mrs. asked where she could purchase it, so not having time for a new order, I sent her the two I have. Myst order more. This is so relaxing and yet completely refreshing. LOVE IT!

  3. Keep forgetting to review these. Today (for seven..count 'em, seven hours!) the warmer has been happily throwing Winter Woody. I love it. Cozy and cuddly without being overtly winter. The weather here is coolish and cloudy, humid but not willing to pour down cold rain. Had the windows open to let fresh air clear the house, but with Winter Woody and the heat turned very low, it made for a perfect birthday cake-baking day. True to the scent descriprion. Very happy with this one!

  4. That is a grand plan, Mara! Gives you a chance to grow the brick and mortar customer base. So exciting to think one can walk into the shop and receive personal attention to create their signature scent. That is,a rare and wonderful service you're providing. Looking forward to more creations from the LP Forumfolk as well.

  5. First up: leather, gorgeous, supple leather (yes, I'm a vegetarian, but, oh my, the scent of leather..). Soon after the honey shines through, followed by pear/ginger/vanilla. By anout 15 minutesthe other scents are layered atop the leather, but by no means cover it. The musk is barely there, more of a skin musk. Within an hour, the leather has taken a step back and the vanilla honey takes center stage. At this point, I get the lux feeling I associate with Aja. The longer I wear this, the more I love it. The name..I completely get it.

Honestly, this reminds me of the rodeos in Tucson. There's a competitive vibe to be sure, but there's romance as well. Everyone is in boots and hats and their western finery. There's a state fair feel about the place~ open air tack and saddlery and leather goods shops are everywhere. There are artisans selling exquisite goods. The food stalls always sell the best food truck fare, and prickly pear lemonade and jams to slather on fry bread are a must.

By 10 a.m., the sun is on the way to hot in a perfectly turquouse sky, warming your skin until it shimmers. Competition is in full swing. The spectators are cheering and jeering. Horses paw the ground and shake their bridles. Riders stand beneath honey-scented Acacia trees, banging their hats against their leather chaps, sending puffs of dust into the desert air. The caller counts down another bull v rider challenge. Clowns in barrels hope for the best. By day's end, the bbqs will be hoppin', the dancers will be two steplin', and the beer and whisky will be flowin'. Some things in the Wild West never change.

  6. This is Cary Grant and Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief. You know the scene. Frances and John are seated on the couch late at night. The only light comes from the moon and the fireworks exploding behind them. Frances leans across the sofa, close enough to kiss John, but instead places her diamond necklace within his grasp. She says, "..Ever had a better offer in your whole life? One with everything?"

This scent carries a weight I can only describe as adult. It has a sophistication that only a grown adult can appreciate. Ingenues need not apply. It comes off determined, mysterious, smoulderingly sexy, but in the way a man in a tux with his tie undone, or a woman in a silk slip is sexy. This is not some short-sighted swindle. This is the long game, winner take all.
