  1. Oh! Whoops! :)

Still going to sample this before going FB because though I like lavender, I feel like I have enough of it I guess. It's not a note I've ever been obsessed with like Violet for example. I still really want to try this though, I'm sure it's great. I'll order a sample when I place my order on Sunday.

  2. Yeah, I'm thinking fall too. Be here in no time!

Guys, which one of these three? Just one. Help me out.

    TOTEM WOLF

    TOTEM TIGER

    NOCO RED

Also in open to other recs. I like intense stuff. Lots of different scents, but good throw and longevity. I've also been thinking about Spring Fever & The sand Box, but I'm leaning more towards warm fall type stuff I guess right now.

  3. Hi Mara. :)

Reckon I could have an Anita's Harlequin? It sounds incredible, like a real perfume lovers perfume...Vintage, like. :D

I get my big check on the 30th, and I can place my order on the 31st. Is that cool with you?

ETA: Is it cannabis crazy? Hoping not. Everything else in it sounds wonderful, but I'm not too sure about that..

  4. Can anyone review this? (Luna?) I'm really intrigued but I'd like to hear someone's experience with it if possible. I know this isn't a review(sorry) , but I'm trying to conjure one up! It sounds darkly sexy and heavy, and I love that. Fill me in someone! :)

  5. Ah you guys are killing me here. I thought I didn't need it cause I don't get real excited about tea, but your "wild flowers in the breeze " comment..yeah. And the grass..sounds so lovely! I'm trying to narrow down my choices for an order, and now I see this, haha! I was thinking about the Harlequin PE too because it sounds so dark, which I love, but I'd really like to hear someone review that.

Between this and Farmhouse, which would you guys say lasts longer? And are they super sheer? Thanks in advance!

  6. Hmmm.. It lasts longer on me by a couple hours. But they are very close! Spriteleighs picture sums it up pretty well! It's more sparkly than the fairy cake. More sugar, no cream. :) you know, there's no vanilla cake or frosting, it's just pure Violet, sweet (not green, or dark or 'dirty' like some violets can be), sweet and PURPLE with the perfect hit of retro powder and a pink crystal glaze. They are close, but different enough I think that if you love Violet you should grab it.

. It's gorgeous! I find these Sugards all to be purer and cleaner than the cakes. A better representation of the true elements they are named for, where the cakes are generally more subtle and well, cakey! :D

  7. Yeah, I'm not even sure how this is still around! I don't wear it that often, but when I do I'm always glad I did!

The reviews Pony and Invi posted years ago are the two I most jive with for this. Looking at the notes you wouldn't really expect it , but it really does feel so quiet. The soft silent thick blanket of white coats the whole world, your out in nature, away from the city, and looking up at the perfect beauty of sparkling crystals covering pines and sharp clear icicles drawing down from the overhanging branches. The world is peaceful and pure white.

That's not to say it's a "quiet" perfume in the sense that it's a lightweight. It isn't. It has wonderful tenacity and throws about an arms length, which is perfect. It CAN have that classy commercial vibe to it, but it's very much a scent of place for me. The oakmoss and friends set the stage for a powdery base, with a texture just like fluffy snow, where the currant lends a shine..sort of like when you view the scene, the snow has come but now the sky is blue again, and the sunlight makes everything sparkle. It's not overly fruity, it's 'shiny'. So I love this. I'd wear it more, certainly, if there wasn't so many things to go through, but it's really a beauty. Soft, sweet, powdery, sparkly and 'solitary'.

If there's any left, you should get some. :)

  8. I do! Thanks Halo. Might need to use your randomizer machine again in a couple days though. :)

I'm seeing too much I want (of course)!

ETA: Halo, I thought you weren't big on herbal lavender. Thought you liked the fluffy, softer kind. I'm guessing it's not too sharp here.

  9. Yeah. I've been eyeballing this. I love Violet for LIFEEE! But that grape.. I don't really like grape in perfume. I like wine in perfume, but grape does something...funky..

How up front is it here? I've heard a little of both from these reviews..anyone else want to weigh in?

  10. Oooooo ! Thanks Spriteleigh!! I'm even more excited now! And that picture is GORGEOUS...YUM!! It's been shipped too. Yay!!!

I wish I got Mr. Bubble from Sugared Iris! I've been wanting a perfume that smells exactly like that for years. Demeter makes one, but after 30 minuites..poof!

  11. Strawberry, Rose, Violet, White Musk, Lilies, Greenery, Grass, Copal, Frankincense, cherries, cake, frosting, vanilla, bergamot, pepper, verbena, sandalwood, oakmoss, blueberries(summer pudding!),

Really, I'd say most anything except heavy cinnamon, black musk, and other heavy animalics. Maybe not great with very light florals like peony cause it could over power them, but Lemon in small doses can add a brightness to nearly any kind of blend. It's a top note usually and can add shine to most anything.

  12. Ok, I have berry one one hand and strawberry on the other. They are both nice but I personally like strawberry better because it's VERY Strawberry Shortcake doll . It has that "fantastic plastic " vibe for sure.

Berry smells more like what it's supposed to, a creamy vanilla berry dessert. Strawberry is definitely more artificial and that's probably what's throwing the reviews..not everyone wants that kind of thing. But it's a very retro, dolly, roll on lip gloss strawberry, and I like!

Berry is nice too, but it doesn't have the same nostalgia factor, to me at least.
