  1. ITA with the descriptions of luxury and power. I got cherry almond wet, then skin ate all of that and any other fruit that might have wanted to come out, lol. It makes me think of autumn, pipe smoking, dry leaves, a library with overstuffed couches and filled with innumerable priceless leather-bound volumes. Call me crazy but I think this would be amazingly yummy on a guy.

  2. Starts out with a strawberry KAPOW on me, super bright, which to me is really authentic strawberry, not like the super sickly sweet strawberry candy kind of sweet. Then very soon the banana and coconut start singing a little harmonious backup. Mixing metaphors I know. Very cheerful. Reminds me a little of the Escada vacation-y themed perfumes, especially Island Kiss, though even brighter, no overt sultriness here. I think this would be over the top delicious over something vanilla-y or ice creamy, like a sundae.

ETA mango has now cut in on the coconut and is joyfully cutting a rug with the strawberry. Divine!!

  3. Oo what fun. Of the ones I've tried so far it's:

    Jo Anna's Sweet Winter Chai

    Nekomusume

    Fairy Lure

    LP Silver

    Christine's Grapefruit Cinnamon and Sugar

But even narrowing it down to five, let alone trying to put them in order. Impossible.

  4. I tried this with and without barrier. With: big floral (I actually smelled lilac?!) but with assertive lemongrass! Making it super bright and fresh, not fussy. Without: very soft, white, silky, all lily w/ lemongrass just peeking in occasionally. I don't experience this as for sleepytime at *all* - it seems very daytime to me, just the thing for brunch and mimosas or high tea. Lovely.

  5. I think this and Sassy Syliba are the most underrated scents of that month, I LOVE them, esp in bath stuff. Nom

Nekomusume smells so good that I would RATHER wear & smell it, than eat the actual things they smell like (as much as I love them)! For me, that is saying something, LOL.

  6. Another "eat your arm off" one for me. Wet: I put it on, sniffed and shouted VACATION! Even after about 20 minutes, it remains all mango and coconuty. Strange, as vanilla is usually such a diva on me (& I love it) but I have gotten NO vanilla at all so far. I look forward to it maybe peeking out. Also strange, as FOODY as it is, I am finding it VERY SEXY more than upbeat. Maybe because of the VACATION! SWIMSUIT! SUN-WARMED SKIN! vibe.

I can't get over how all these very foody smells are made to smell so grownup, complex, sophisticated and sexy. Sexy food! Fantastic.

  7. All blueberry and grapefruit at first - a delicious combination! It's not overly sweet and it's not creamy. Quite "bright" and translucent. Digging it. Seems very light, definitely not the kind of scent that precedes you into a room. Personality-wise this feels to me like this girl in my high school who I admired so much (and still do) because she was unfailingly upbeat, and outgoing and friendly to and well liked by all cliques, in an evilly socially stratified school.

  8. Realizing that on me, sandalwood is like the bully fish that eats al the other fish in the tank. >:) at first it was all dark sexy come-eat-me berries, then within minutes it became sandalwood and nothing else and stayed that way. Tradey time. :)

  9. Intense warm gooey chocolate/honey in the vial, ie heaven. My skin likes chocolate though I guess, because it swallowed every trace of it in less than an hour and left me with just honey. Might just not have had enough on? Will be trying again for sure.

ETA tried again, same effect - all the chocolate went POOF even faster this time. But left me with tea slightly sweetened with honey. Interesting as one would think chocolate would not be the kind of thing to go anywhere in a hurry.

  10. OH, you are all talking about strawberry and sweetness and musk, some of my favorite things, but my skin chooses to turn this into just a pink Sweet-Tart candy Cherry, tartness, and that's it. Sob. I think citruses other than grapefruit just don't like me. Posting for trade. My loss. :'(

  11. Another stunner. I have been huffing it so hard it's making me lightheaded. On me it starts out intensely creamy-sweet-rice, with just the whisper of plum dancing around, then it settles down into a smooth, subtle, warm, silky and still faintly rice-y mix. Even though it has plum in it, this smells very creamy-white to me throughout. Unusual and extremely delicious, may be forced to buy a bottle immediately.

  12. Oh, it goes baby-powdery on me too, and all honey goes super weird on me (wax going bad), and this is no exception. But I don't care. I cover it and I'm GTG. I put it on today and then walked through a crowded area of mostly men. I felt like a chicken swimming across a swamp of starved alligators. In a good way. It was totally insane. When that's the effect I want, this stuff has been unbeatable for me so far.

  13. Crazy about this one. Who would think to mix blackberry and jasmine?? which are the predominant notes on me after a while, and which are a divine combination. I am usually a little wary of jasmine, its huge head, its potentially room-clearing throw, but in this one it is secretive and demure and very well behaved ;) . It doesn't seem possible from the notes, but this one is not bombastic, it feels calm and self-assured and quietly dignified. It is strangely imagination-stirring and inspiring.

ETA I have it on again now - a P91-boosted version - and maybe it's partly the experimone, but I do feel like a queen. I feel I am (or should be) sitting on a large velvet pillow, wearing layers of exquisitely tailored, embroidered, multi-jewel-colored silk, sipping tea, and eating shortbread cookies that have blackberry jam on them. VERY REGAL.

  14. I get mostly peach, honeysuckle and lilac, and that combo is a huge winner on me. The peach mellows the florals so they're not "in your face" or fussy, and the florals "complexify" the peach so it's not just "hi I'm candy". It doesn't come out syrupy on me at all, just brightly sweet. Stunning!

  15. Crazy, on my skin I get no fruit or foodiness at all! I'm mostly getting note I don't recognize. I think it must be pansy. It smells sort of purple, if that makes sense. That and a faint undertone of waterlily.

It's so interesting seeing how different some of these blends are in the vial versus on the (my) skin. This one on my skin smells NOTHING like it does in the vial. Both lovely. Not sure this is really "me", I think I'm a very foody/vanilla/musk person, but will hang onto it and see...

  16. YUM. For anyone afraid of rose, you need to give this a try, because while the soft red rose is there it's a beautiful complement to the rich chocolate and cream goodness.

So right! I don't like rose but wanted to be open-minded and try this because of the other ingredients. This concoction is stunning. Not only is the rose in here gorgeously lush and elegant - it meanders in and out with the other elements beautifully, over time but also even within any given huff.

Like everyone else I got a lot of dark chocolate up front. It wasn't gooey or even especially sweet. Also highly elegant in its own way.

To me, the overall feel of this one, not the smell, I mean the mood, is being in a hushed, champagne-chocolates-caviar, white silk upholstered furniture filled VIP fitting suite of a haute couture house in Paris accessible only by private keyed elevator. Not a bad feeling to start the day. :great:

ETA I'm back to rave some more. Now 7+ hours since application and it's still going strong. I am wafting chocolatey roses and totally in love with myself.

  17. My skin quickly gobbled everything but tartness - no sweetness, and no vanilla or musk which usually come out on me pretty strongly. It's so tart that my mouth waters when I huff it! At first application it reminded of Sour Patch Kids (in a good way, I like those). But it has gone INTENSELY sharp and green on me, like lemongrass (?!).

  18. I tried OCCO Pink on my TG because it's similar to Pink Sugar, which he loves! I didn't get any verbal reaction to my LAM Pink Amber and OCCO Pink like I would have desired, but he seemed to have a good time dancing with me.

w00t, I can't wait to get my OCCO Pink. Err: does "TG" mean "target"? I've been hoping I'd figure it out eventually without having to ask, but that's the best guess I can come up with?

  19. This. Is. A dreamboat. Start to finish (well, 4 hours after application). Started out VERY bright and sunshiny, citrusy. Then it got sparkly-creamy. Then for several hours it has been pure luscious daydreamy Creamsicle... and yet it is *not* foody. I know that makes no sense. I mean, it doesn't smell "flat", fake or chemically, the way some foody products can (like how fake strawberry gum tastes)- it's the opposite of that- somehow its "trueness" makes it *less* foody. It has a breadth and depth beyond just Creamsicleness, yet isn't perfumey. Can't explain it.

It is transporting me to a boardwalk in July, Creamsicle melting onto my hands. I can hear the seagulls. Bliss.
