  1. This reminds me a little of Garland and Lace, minus the creaminess. It's less sweet, too. A nice piece of gingerbread. It may be that I didn't moisturize as well as I typically do, but my skin just ate this up. It was gone in a couple of hours. I will try again on moisturized skin.

  2. This is a very apple scent. In fact, when I first put it on, all I got was apple, pure fresh apple with nothing really beyond the natural sweetness. After an hour or so, I started to get the cake aspect. It smelled like apple cake. Again, not too sweet but with a hint of something spicy. I absolutely adore the long dry down. The cotton candy comes out then, and it's blended with my natural skin scent to smell as if apple and cotton candy are coming from my pores. love it!

  3. This one smells quite nice on me! It's a very true gardenia note and it's dominant, so probably have to be a fan to enjoy it. It's not as sweet as I expected, and I'm getting something almost spicy from it. The background is a rich, butter cake. I'm getting a scent memory of my grandma's old house. Not sure if she had gardenias, because I was very, very young when she lived at this place, but I do remember her delicious butter cookies!

  4. Yes, this was very, very cherry when I first put it on. On me, the cherry was wearing very thick and luscious, like the cherries on a cheesecake or something. Not tart, just syrupy sweet. It was after an hour or so that I started to get the vanilla. This is more marshmallow fluff than cake on me.

  5. This one is a pink frosting, somewhat reminiscent of the Hot Spun Sugar Hydrating Water, but creamier and a little less sweet. I don't get much cake, but in the long dry down, the brown sugar comes out more and makes it richer. I think I detect the vanilla more later, too.

  6. I love LP's tuberose. It's always so heady and sensuous. This does not disappoint. The tuberose is front and center in this, sweetened by a decadent cake. There's almost something spicy at the edges of it. As it dries down, I start to get a pink feel, and the rich buttery note comes out. The long dry down is absolutely gorgeous. very sexy. I'd wear this with LFN for sure!

  7. This is incredible!! I no cake or sweetness beyond the natural sweetness in honeysuckle. Honeysuckle tends to run sharp on me, but it is beautiful softened in this by the cream. A warm, sunny scent. It's waaaaay to early for me to pick a favorite, but as of now, this one is a contender!

  8. I'm an orchid ho, so this is the first thing I reached for in my package! Very soft, vaguely pink. The orchid is almost a little soapy. I don't get much cake from it at all, other than a soft sweetness and a sort of buttery vanilla. Those that like Orchidacious might like this. They're both in the floral-foody vein, though this one is much lighter and closer to the skin. I'm wearing this today, and people keep asking what shampoo I used, what body wash, or even what laundry detergent. I think it's because this is so unobtrusive, people don't even assume it's a perfume.

  9. This took me back to my second grade teacher. I think she wore a perfume that had a strong magnolia note. I can’t think of which. Anyhow, I am sure this is far lovelier, because what other perfumer would be so brilliant as to make a magnolia-vanilla cake fragrance? Because that’s exactly what this is. The magnolia is very forward in this. It tends to be sharp on me, but it is softened by the cake, which smells less sweet and more bready in this fairy cake scent. It is vaguely soapy in that clean skin scent way. A very innocent but at the same time sexy scent.

ETA: Je Reviens! That's the scent that I was thinking of. Now, it's been a couple of decades since I even thought about it, much less smelled it, so I couldn't tell you if they actually have any notes in common, but the mind is a funny beast.

  10. This smelled really, really sweet in the vial, but on my skin, not so much. Florals tend to bloom on my skin, some more than others, and lilac is one of the worst offenders for me. (Which is a shame since I love it so!) And it did exactly that BUT the sweetness and the cake are strong enough to balance it out. It truly smells like eating a vanilla cupcake outside on a sunny spring day. I love it!

  11. If you're new to pheros, I'd suggest the phero enhanced fragrances first. It's one stop shopping! you don't have to worry about picking a scent thhat will cover the sometimes pungent unscented pheros. I would suggest the Cougar potion (which was actually my first purchase here!) Don't let the name fool you. It doesn't necessarily attract younger guys. the phero is a sexy-social blend that has a sparkly, glamorous social vibe with a hint of sexiness. Perfect for a night out! The scent contains grapefruit, which is said to make the wearer appear glamorous, so the fragrance is in synch with the phero. Something with La Femme Mystere or Gotcha might be nice too, though I'm blanking what scents in the catalogue currently might contain them.

  12.

I have been a CD-ROM (read-only lol) here since last week and found here is AMAZING!!!

I definitely cackled at this.

    Welcome, and happy birthday!

  13. I got this as a freebie. (Thanks Bella! :hearts0425: ) Even though I absolutely adore pumpkin, this wasn't on my list since I have so many of the pumpkiny scents. But this is the one thing that's missing from my collection. A sweet pumpkin scent that's lightly spiced. Just enough spice to help you identify that it's pumpkin but not enough so that you smell like straight pumpkin pie. I absolutely love it on its own, but I'm dying to try this with Sugared Pink Musk, ans soon as I find where that sneaky little bugger has run off to.

  14. I agree, I would wear LFM if I was in the same situation BUT she said she is introverted. I think LFM would really attract more attention than she might be comfortable with. On me, it has a sort of all eyes on me effect, and that might have the exact opposite effect on herself she's looking for!

Phergineer, what do you mean by dis-inhibit? Did you make any inappropriate comments or something or just overly talkative? Because I'm actually thinking Audacious might be really, really good for this event. But if you are worried about your behavior, then by all means skip it and go with halo's suggestion of Topper.

  15. This is pure, sweet honeysuckle. It smells so natural, no one would ever think you're wearing a perfume. Smells like a June day. This smells great alone, but i can picture it with vanilla and omg, EOSP, earth would be amazing!
