  1. GEEZE! Am I the oldest person on the forum? I don't even know if my KIDS had the burnt umber crayolas! :10_small16: :10_small16: :10_small16:

~However, I cannot survive without burnt umber in my palette no matter what I'm painting with!

    .

    ETA- oh, LUUUUUNNNnnnaaaaa! Any hints...?

  2. Eta: well I don't know where the dough is coming from...and I can smell the lemon now but it is so much more balanced than before....this is a dream scent.

Dream scent! Me, too, MissDC! This is so pretty and candy-sweet, yet it's not cloying. On me, it kind of smells like toffee with an extremely subtle lemony kick. It lasts a long time, too, and stays fairly close to my skin. LOVE! :hearts0425:

  3. Luna isn't saying no.. so it MUST be a month devoted to roses, cherries and cupcakes!

LOL Zero Hour - oh Trevor, why couldn't you have scored a good TV show?! *sigh*

Wait, what were we talking about? Oh yeah, Victoria the psychic savant is on to something as usual. Or on something, whatever.

    ;)

Oooooh a Cupcake Month would be delicious! AUGH! SORRY! It would be WONDROUS!!! :happy-birthday-2::LIKE:

And luna...I never saw any of Zero Hour but if Trevor did the score, at least the music is GREAT! Hee! B)

  4. This is definitely bright, sunny, and happy! At first, I can pretty much pick out the notes. There's a very brief few moments of morphing where I get squished green plants around the edges. WHAT?!?? Oh. My SKIN. HA! Then it goes fruity again and everyone jumps into the ice cream bowl and BLENDS! I end up with a beautiful, fruity, sweet, uncomplicated, perfumy-in-a-wonderful-way kind of scent. It's not as foody as I'd thought it might be. It's fresh like a fruit smoothy with some vanilla bean thrown in. LOVE Lina's Caramelized Mango Bean!!!

    :heart::):heart:

P.S. I could really see this working well with pheros like Popularity Potion and Heart and Soul! Even Mother's Little Helper...etc. Heh.

  5. Firstly, given that I am *still* melted over the story that our lunaScribe brilliantly put to this one, I am probably predisposed to a certain...ambience...to Nola. She smells like a wonderful, laid-back, after-dinner party! I get liquor around the edges, like we've all got drinks sitting around. And there's a desserty smell, and sort of a warm friends smell (!). There's a vague feel of resinous perfume. The smoke note--surprisingly for my skin--just blends right in and I don't get it as itself. I would guess it's supporting the warmth of this, though. This perfume is a warm sexy hug from a well-dressed dear friend with a drink in her hand!!!

I adore Nola. No ifs, ands, or buts. I am SO glad I just went ahead and got a full bottle. The fact that this supports what's probably my favorite charitable organization is the cherry on top! THANK YOU MARA AND LUNA!!!

    :burning-heart:

  6. WHOA. This baby smells like a fresh, warm, homemade lightly-caramelized popcorn ball. Except as a perfume. And it smells perfectly natural to *wear* it! This is delicious!!! :hearts0425: I have to admit: I licked the back of my hand, but couldn't taste a thing past the black tea I'm drinking. I smell edible. :666:

  7. The first time I wore Pizzazz, I thought, "Hmmm...*squidgy shrug*...maybe not for me." But I couldn't just let it sit there and be sad. I mean, it has COUGAR in it!!! I let it age a little and tried again.

YOWZA!!! I love it now! It's not too sharp like it was at first. Everything blends, and it smells so. Freakin'. GOOD! Cougar is always a great phero for me, so that's a given. But the scent! It's really lovely now! It's congruent with the phero. It's a happy scent. Stuff's excellent. I'm gonna end up with a full bottle!

    :Emoticons0424:

  8. This is wonderful on my skin! And it *is* a good reminder of spring! I wasn't sure if it'd work on me, but it DOES!!! YAY!!! Every time I wear it, I looove eeet mooooorrre. The scent itself gives me some zip in my step, and the phero definitely makes me feel like I Am The (Playful) Queen. Heh! The rose is fresh, the raspberry is great with the rose, the other notes add more NOM factor...and I am just completely in love with this one!!!

    :Emoticons0424:

  9. I've only worn this twice--I'm going through my Feb. bottles rather slowly. So, I haven't yet tested it around a bunch of people, but for me? It's *delicious*!!! It's brighter than I'd expected. I know, I know, orange is bright, and I love it! But something about the orange and the almond...oh and the nutmeg!...smells fizzy on me for about the first five minutes. I'll bet the fizz is the nutmeg. When I snoof my *skin* it smells like really good orange soda pop! :w00t:

The sillage, though...now, that smells much more sophisticated. That's where this one shines on me. I can see why everyone has been complimenting you, NuTrix! The waft from this combines all the notes, and it's so very beautiful! The almond backs off, although I suspect it's still way underneath. I get the edge of orange blossoms, and the vanilla, sugar, and sandal enrich the scent. There's plenty of orange, but it's more relaxed. The nutmeg is still there, giving a more subtle sparkle. It backs down enough for me to consider it somewhat of a skin scent...but I think it's travelling more than I realize. Extreme drydown reminds me of eating a piece of my mom's orange chiffon whilst wearing a subtle sweet perfume.

Orangzipan is another exceedingly cheerful and beautiful scent from February. WOOT!!! :hearts0425:

  10. You know, now that y'all mention it, this reminds me of Aja, too. It's not an exact match on me, though. I get more of the sweet honey dusting powder effect. I reeeeeaaallly like this one. It's just the right amount of sweet. It smells like honey and does NOT go into the hazmat area at all, which is especially nice for me with my chemistry! It's not overpowering. It feels...comfortable! It's a hug and a fuzzy, cushy lap throw in a bottle! :w00t:

  11. I'm in the I LOOOVE THIS Camp! :)

Peach Sparkle...I wasn't certain I'd like it. I got the full bottle set for Feb., and I kind of set this one aside and ignored it for a while. I snoofed the bottle, which smelled nice, but I waited for days before putting any on. Doofus, me.

O GODS it's good. The sparkly bubbly feel works well on my skin, and the peach stays, well, peachy! See, sometimes peach won't work with my chemistry and will go sort of waxy. In Peach Sparkle, the peach stays true. This is such a happy perfume! It's a bit like putting fresh peach slices in champagne. Or maybe it's more like eating fruit slices while *drinking* champagne. It smells like a party. It smells like brunch on the patio on a spring day. It's sweet and refreshing. I could see pairing this with any number of happy social pheros. It would work great in a spray. Wowsers.

 I'm going to get a lot of mileage from this one!!!

  12. I was feeling slightly heartbroken that this did not work on me - the description sounded SO good!

And I was thinking, 'if only it could be a little sweeter, somehow....'

And then I remembered my bottle of pure cops!

So I decanted about a third of the bottle of Decadent Diva into one of the small roller bottles from Artfire (DD is a gorgeous golden colour, by the way!) and added a few drops of Cops.

Shook well, waited a night and voila: a beautiful, woodsy, but still slightly warm scent! :witch02738:

I wear it like an Occo, although it probably has a lot less cops; apply it on my torso (a bit around my belly button and a tad on my lower back) well before I get dressed.

The only odd thing now is that the smaller roller bottle has a metal ball - it's cold!

So, I guess, when in doubt - add cops? ;)

Hee!!! COLD roller! Brrr!!! And I agree completely about the cops. They make a scent a little deeper and richer for me. :)

The very first time I wore Decadent Diva, it was fresh from the P.O. box and it came off as very, VERY dry woods. I started to think, "Oh NOES!" Then I realized it was probably in travel shock and my skin might have been in whatever shock. I waited a week and tried again.

Oh Emm GEE!!! The wait made all the difference. It's now a sweet, deep, sexy, resinous coating of NOM on my skin. It's everything I'd hoped it would be. I LOOOOOOVE sents like this one. It smells like the label looks. Decadent Diva indeed!!!

    :burning-heart:

P.S. Condolences to my Ladies who can't wear this one. Skin chemistry is endlessly fascinating and endlessly annoying, yes? :P
