  1. Yes, Pumpkin Pink is a variant of Sparkle Fuchsia. But it's not going to smell exactly like the original SUPER for Women.
  2. Vampire Bunny is essentially the intersection of the original Cuddle Bunny scent and Blue Smoke. I always love the labels but Mara's "pop of color" scheme for this collection is *chef's kiss*!
  3. No worries, but there's also this line in my initial post: -Please remember that LPMP does not duplicate commercial fragrances or vintage/sold-out LPMP scents as part of the Private Edition service.
  4. Of course! We want everyone to have fun because... ...since we've had PEs!
  5. Just to let you all know, Mara has edited the post on the master thread to update the available ingredients, so go check it out!
  6. No there's no voting involved - this is just a thread for people to share their ideas and if someone wants a sounding board or has questions, then we all can help out with that too. It's just like the regular Your Potion Ideas thread for PEs except that Mara wanted a separate thread because it's a special circumstance since it's part of the annual sale. When the official Sale! thread is posted then we'll have the details about how to order the PEs on the website, we just wanted to preview it here (and in the other thread) so that people have time to think about what they want to do with their PEs if they plan to order.
  7. Well, DD is asking for an old PE (Lady Victoria's Black Panther), so I think it really depends on whether Mara is able to recreate it with the ingredients she has in stock.

This is your chance to concoct your very own scent from a veritable plethora of ingredients, something uniquely your own to indulge your inner perfume genius! Over the years many PEs have attained the status of cult classics among our customers/forum members. What you need to know: -Only 35 total PEs will be created, so start envisioning your dream scents now! -Each individual PE will be limited to nine bottles total produced. The creator may purchase all of the bottles; whatever is not claimed by the creator will be offered for customer-wide sale. -There is a limit of three separate PEs ordered per customer in order to allow as many people as possible to participate. We encourage collaborations! -You may choose a total of four notes/accords to create your PE. -Mara may have to turn down an order if she does not have the ingredients to create the scent. -Please remember that LPMP does not duplicate commercial fragrances or vintage/sold-out LPMP scents as part of the Private Edition service. -Purchasing a PE will count towards freebies in the sale. -It may take as long as three weeks to receive your PE order(s) due to processing and general Sale madness. -Prices: $34.95/each for your first bottle, $29.95/each for additional bottles. -Available in regular size (⅓ fluid oz.) full bottle form. There is now a separate thread for discussion of Private Edition creation for the Sale in the Specials for Forum Members! subforum - come join the fun in sharing your ideas and giving advice/feedback to others!! Additional important information: TO CAST YOUR SPELL: VISUALIZE ~ Think about what your goal or intention is for your Private Edition. Would you like something to wear at work? Something sexy for date night? Something soothing to help you relax? Something elegant for a special occasion? A signature scent you can wear for any occasion? Do you wish it to convey a particular season of the year? Maybe you want a spell potion for a specific purpose and would like me to choose the notes? WEAVE YOUR MAGIC ~ Tell me your story. You might be trying to recapture a childhood experience – picking berries in the woods in the Autumn...watching a concert in Central Park in the Summer...baking cookies with Grandma at Christmas. You might be trying to set the perfect romantic atmosphere, or garner more respect at work, or make your boyfriend drool by smelling like a cupcake. The more detail you can convey to me, the more tools I have to capture the atmosphere you desire. Scent is the strongest memory trigger we've got, so take your time and let your imagination transport you to your special moment and tell me what it's like. MANIFEST ~ You get to choose 4 perfume notes. I have over 10,000 ingredients in my studio with many subtle differences, so rather than just saying “vanilla”, you can say, “a thick sweet vanilla that smells like cake batter”, or, “a boozy vanilla extract note”, or, “a powdery non-foody/perfumey kind of vanilla”. You choose 4 notes, but it is likely I will use around 12. Your notes give me the framework from which to build your perfumed story. ALL MAGIC COMES WITH A PRICE ~ $34.95 for the first bottle – 1/3 fl.oz. Oil. $29.95 for every additional bottle. Would you like to add Pheromones? Add $40.00 Would you like to turn your perfume into a 1 fl.oz. cologne spray? Add $15.00
  11. This is really interesting! The fennel gives the blend a really intriguing quality, sort of softens the lavender along with vanilla. The deeper notes are just blended into the whole. I think this could be worn anytime because it's not too heavy for daytime but it's got a quality that would work for nighttime as well.
  12. I have a bottle of the original Bosom Bows and this is reminiscent of that one but I think it's got an overall softer roundness. It's a dry spicy sandalwood which is underscored by the vanilla and oak. It comes off as slightly more feminine than Buddy Beaux, IMO, but still wholly unisex. It's a very "anytime" kind of scent because it has such a warm neutral impression.
  13. This has kind of a soapiness to it? At least in the wet stage. The spice blend it give a kind of tang in the top, an interesting character. It does make me think of Bosom Bows but is a bit more linear, I think. The woodiness comes to the fore in the drydown and there is a certain neutrality to it but I feel like it's got a primarily masculine vibe nonetheless.
  14. The combination of the rose with the berries reminds me of something else...just can't think of what it is. It's really pretty and feminine and sweet, but there's a garden freshness at the same time. It does deepen over time to become more lushly floral.
  15. I think what I mainly get out of this is the leather and patchouli and that's a really interesting combination! Definitely more of a late-night kind of scent, IMO.
  16. This is that spicy-sweet brown sugar cinnamon goodness we know and love! Without the pink sugar note in it, however, it makes me think of Fall. I imagine it's going to be so delicious in cooler weather.
  17. It's only in the beginning, really. The orchid becomes stronger as it dries down, IMO.
  18. The woodiness is the most prevalent aspect of it when wet. I feel like the presence of the tobacco is almost an astringent type of accent, more on the blond side of things. There's a kind of spicy depth to it as it dries down, it strikes me as wholly masculine in that way. Not to my particular taste, but it is one of those definitely for anyone who enjoys woody/earthy vibes.
  19. Even though cocoa butter can evoke a chocolate-type impression, I don't get that from this. it just sort of underscores the fruity impression of the banana. It's not quite the fresh banana of Coquin, but it certainly has more of a fruity impression that most banana-type scents. I feel like maybe the orchid and the cocoa butter are really melding together, in that way it reminds me a bit of Pherodise more than, say, Cacao Amor. The orchid emerges more in the drydown, a distinct presence apart from the other tropical elements enfolding it.
  20. I think if you're a fan of magnolia you will enjoy this take on it, with the underlying creaminess and tropical vibe. There's a hint of freshness which peaks through as it dries down.
  21. I really like this! The coconut-myrrh intersection is so good!! Then as it dries down there's a sort of quasi-marine evocation to it. It's almost kind of spicy as well, makes me think of bay rum. I do think it could be unisex as well.
  22. For me, the base notes seem pretty identical, it's just that the rose isn't as prominent as it is in the original. But I'm thinking aging will take care of that.
  23. The peach makes this so incredibly CUTE! It takes a while for other notes to emerge, I'm not sure that I get the LP effect or even just a pink kind of evocation. But I like it, I'm definitely a fan of sweet peach fragrances.
  24. I have a bottle of the original, but because it's had a while to age I didn't think it would be fair to compare it to the new brew. As we know, resins develop a deeper character as they age. However, it is what I remember, although I would say the clove and sandalwood are dominating the mix right now. But there's a smokiness in the background that is interesting to me. The nuances unfold in the drydown. It does feel a lot like a "I'm camping for four days at Bonnaroo and I'm just here for the vibe" kind of thing.
