  1. Dang, let me know if you here any good reviews on that one... it sounds intriquing.

You'll be the first to know when I get a sample!

And I promise, this is my last entry on this thread for a while, but...

I put on Prophetic Pie early this morning, around 7:00. Usually by the time I go to work whatever I'm wearing has faded enough I can put something new on (the upside of a skin that mostly gobbles scent), but I had a different schedule today and just forgot. At 2:30 I was meeting with a new student. Halfway through our conversation, she leaned in, SNIFFED me, and said, "Oh, wow! You smell REALLY good!" then got kind of embarrassed and blushed but stuck to the compliment.

    Oh, the magic of pie.

  2.

Noo, no fruits and flowers. At least not that I know of :D

That's my Tea/Smoke/Vanilla scent. With some brown sugar, I think. I asked Mara for a bold and sexy fall scent, I wonder what she came up with. I'm sooo excited! Can't wait to try it.

Did I already tell you how much I LOVE this label? And the song reference is hilarious indeed!

Fleur! I keep meaning to hop on here and say: congratulations on your first PE, and wow, it sounds AMAZING! Not sure if my budget is going to allow any more LP purchases this month (stupid bills!) but this is awfully tempting. And so cool to have seen the idea tossed around on the Potions thread and now emerging as a real thing!

  3. I remember reading this post of yours in the last days of the sale and realized I needed to grab 2 bottles since this gives me a cozy and comfort feel every time I wear it....I'm so glad I did as my 1st bottle is already below the label....

I was able to snag one more bottle, which I am tempted to go open right now, reading your words, DD! It's still a surprise to me, if I go back and read the description, how much I love this! So thank you to all you earlier reviewers who put it on my radar. Rhubarb, persimmon and all!

  4. I picked this up at the beginning of the sale and initially thought it wasn't working for me--the ginger is VERY sharp, overwhelming, without much sense of sweetness. But as time goes on, I keep finding myself going back and trying it again and now I love it! For a while I was pairing it with Santa's Little Helper, trying to get a softer sweeter effect, but tonight I found myself craving that sharp bite. It kind of clears my head and settles me down, all at the same time. Great stuff!

  5. Hi and belated welcome! I can tell I'll look forward to your reviews because we have some demographics/goals in common, though I'm a bit older. I just wanted to add to all the excellent advice above--StacyK mentioned Super Sexy for Women, and I'd suggest a sample of Sneaky Clean (even if you think you don't care for soapy!), which has that in it. I've found that to be a great one for the social issues you described, and I have gotten wonderful results with increased friendliness/comfort levels with women as much as men.

  6. I'm hoping for another hidden gem like "Haunted Hallows"

Yes!! DD, a spooooky nature scenr like Haunted Hallows would be perfect.

I'll say it again: I want some leaves and some woodsmoke!

So with you both on this! I kind of wiped out my credit card with sale month and those Spell Oils, but I'm thinking I can afford the monthly sampler for NRs in October and dying to see what new fall scents I can discover.... longing for both something smokey and earthy, but also some warm spicy foodie goodness!

  7. I can't believe how much you guys paid in postage for my last package. Those waters are heavy! Thank you!

What Halo said! I would have found it entirely appropriate to be charged for that. So many thanks for the amazing customer service here.

And I can't believe I now own a double Full Bottle Set of New Releases! I've never even ordered the monthly sampler (will be doing that more from here on out) but it was clear to me, reading the reviews of other Spell Oils, that whether or not the scents worked for me I could be confident using them for intent. And as it turns out, most of the scents in the first 10 bottles I got have been home runs, so I can't wait to try these out! Especially excited for Focus & Acuity Potion, as well as the Patience Potion, to use at work. Not to mention one of my jobs is just for the coming year and I am hoping to persuade them to have me back, so definitely putting Shut Up and Get a Job! to use.

Thanks again, Mara, and all the wonderful people here, for this amazing company. Both the products and the customer service are unmatched by anything I've encountered elsewhere.

  8. I got this out of the closet last week and realized--I have FINISHED the bottle. The one I bought at the beginning of August. Yeah. That's how good it smelled. Whether it was the scent, or the intent, or the combination, I burned through this like nobody's business. This is the first time I have actually finished an LP bottle. There are things I regretfully decided did not work for me, but this is the first time I just used it up because I loved it so much.

  9. I checked out reviews for this during the sale, and once I saw ginger, dark patchouli and blood orange (my favorite fruit) I knew I had to try... and OH WOW. It's got a fizzy energy to it that I just love. The ginger is softened just enough by other notes to keep it from hurting my nose, but it pops. The sugar warms it and the citrus sparkles and the patchouli grounds, gives it the stability of earthiness without smelling earthy. This feels like the perfect mid-season scent, for spring going into summer and summer going into fall. I was at a horse show this weekend with a friend, and the weather was spectacular--mid-60s, clear blue sky with puffy strips of cloud, a strong breeze, and temperatures that made a sundress comfortable but had you reaching for a sweater when the sun went behind a cloud. This scent was a perfect match for that weather. Soft enough to feel luxurious and sensual, but strong and bracing enough to make you want to go out and do, instead of loll around and be. Elegant enough for going out, casual enough for staying in. An all around winner. Heartfelt admiration and kudos to the creator.

  10. This is a great addition to my lavender collection. It's weird--it isn't exactly my favorite scent, but I do find that when I'm having trouble sleeping or just feeling emotionally cranked up, lavender is the perfect soother. This one is bright and clear. The marshmallow initially smelled a little too strong and sweet and for comfort for me, but it quickly backed down and added a layer of deeply soothing pillowy subtle sweetness. Full bottle on its way.

  11. This one was my favorite! It's soft and sweet and smells like exactly like a pink cupcake with coconut frosting (I can practically feel the coconut flakes on my tongue when I smell this!). The fraganced hydrating water is the perfect medium (?) for this scent--if it were in oil, I think it would be too heavy, but as it is, I just get delicious refreshing essence of cupcake. This also evokes strong sense memory/emotion--it doesn't smell like cotton candy, but it's in that category of utterly delicious sweetness, and I get such a strong sense of being a little girl out at the lake, walking up to the refreshments stand. Cool grass and then piping hot sidewalk under my feet, handing over quarters and the thrill of getting a wonderful treat... I almost wish I ordered two bottles--I think I'm going to go through this one very quickly next summer.

  12. Blackcat, thanks to you I'm now addicted to this one... If you ever decide you don't need all 6 bottles of this one, you know where you can get rid of one....LOL.

I can not wait till October and then I'm going to be wearing this everyday as I love Halloween, but I do not like to wear those scents till October 1st.

DD you will be first on my list! One of the reasons I went back is that I've already given away more of these than I intended--because it is just. That. Amazing!

I don't even know if this was originally released in October but somehow I am guessing it was--I am so excited to see what Mara has in store for us to add to the fab Halloween scents! I LOVE October!

  13. I got a sample of this, and have gone back and forth on it. The smell is absolutely delicious. It's very maple on me, and really smelled exactly like the homemade syrup we used to make when I was a kid (melted sugar and water with maple extract, which sounds kind of horrible when I write it down, but was always the most delicious smell in the world to me). I finally decided against a full bottle because I intend to use these fragranced hydrating waters either as pick-me-ups at work during the day, or to sleep in, and somehow I don't feel as if this scent will be a match for me for those purposes. It's so foodie that I think I would find it distracting for falling asleep, and it also doesn't feel work-appropriate (aha! just figured it out! I like these during the day to freshen up--feel as if I've washed my hands when I can't get to a sink, and this makes me feel as if I've just eaten a huge plate of French Toast and need to go WASH MY HANDS. Psychology, you are so interesting!)

That being said, the scent is GORGEOUS, and anyone who loves the smell of maple syrup will love this.

  14. I had initially avoided this because I thought I didn't like marshmallow. Then Sogni Incantati disabused me of that notion. I love this one--although I am surprised how much the sweeter marshmallow in SI is working for me, this one was much subtler and somehow more natural smelling, with no sugary element to it at all (even when it sweetens). I think the fennel really brightened and softened it. I think this will be a great sleep aid in hot weather. It's soft and comforting and cool all at the same time. Definitely full bottle-worthy!
