  1. Third:.......... I don't know how! I'm afraid if I try that act in the bedroom I'm just going to crack up and totally ruin it!

So, now that I have this little gem of a scent in my clutches, is there a way to use it to help me be like that???

    Darbla

And, Darbla... If you would like, I can hook you up with some toys/lotions/etc to help add some zip to the bedroom... and it can be as simple as a blindfold on your man to add a different dimension to the whole experience (that, combined with Dominance, might really be interesting)...

  2. ... My cat did not like it. Usually when the cat dislikes a scent he makes a sticky face and backs up a step (he doesn't like oranges at all) but with this one, he backed up and then ran for the other end of the apartment....

Each time I put this one, I like it more. For me, the roses are amped, with the chocolate as a bottom note. I'm truly loving this scent... and, it seems to work well with the 7th grade boys. Seems to help keep them in line

And, Scourger, just like your cat, My Beloved's chihuahua creature LOATHES the scent. He, too, runs for the other side of the bed/room/etc when I open up the bottle. Cracks me up! He is such an attention hound that it is sometimes difficult to make him leave you alone... and now I have the *perfect* remedy for his clinginess :)

  3. We're waiting for some new ingredients to arrive, so it's going to be a few days.

We've ordered some extremely exotic precious attars from India, from a family who has been crafting them for generations. We're really excited to try them in our new blends!

Oh, my... how deliciously enticing... I sense that we are going to become "slathering hordes" quite soon, whipped into an acquisitional fervor by the anticipation...

  4. You know, from what I hear, a lot of men seem to really enjoy the foody type scents on women. I guess my man is one of the exceptions.....it seems that the more foody the scent, the less he likes it.

Research does seem to indicate that foody scents do appeal to men. However, My Beloved, like your man, Dolly, truly doesn't appreciate them; he says "Only food should smell like food." and, anything with chocolate smells like "burnt feet" to him... (so PheroGirl Dominance is a "just for me" scent, and it seems to work *very* well on the 7th graders)

  5. Chai, I sent you an email yesterday......let me know if you didn't receive it, and I'll re-send.....

I had to leave work yesterday because Jacob became ill... so I didn't get a chance to check email there yesterday.. and we were off again today because he is feeling so badly! I truly need to figure out what it is that is causing the health issues in the home. Sigh.

  6. This is kind of stepping over the line in the sand for FDA's laws.. If used to help kids with ADD concentrate / focus more, then it's treating a disease and hence the product would be a "drug." Pheromones are not considered drugs by current FDA standards, when used for the intended purposes.. You have to be sensitive with your semantics, since FDA has put the pheromone industry under scrutiny before, and I spent much effort to convince them that pheromones are not drugs and not subject to their regulations (which is true).

So, Ms. Fox, how did you make out last night?

I certainly apologize for my semantical error as I wasn't implying that I was looking to use pheromones to treat ADD or other disabilities.

I simply meant that I actively explore ways to facilitate learning in my students. For example, I collect data on the effects of focusing through: the use of different colored overlays; the backing of posters with different colors; the use of evergreen/chocolate/citrus/etc scents (and the relative effects of each); the use of 'brain gym' exercises/yoga/mediation; the effect on comprehension from the amount of 'white space" around paired text; and the effect on recall by the inclusion of scent versus the absence (measuring effect of 'memory anchors', as it were).

And, I involve them in the efforts as I want them to learn to advocate for themselves and to learn to acquire for themselves anything which appears to help them (i.e., "Excuse me, Ms. Social Studies teacher, but I learned that using a blue overlay makes me look at a page of text longer and I score higher on comprehension questions when I use it. May I please use one in your class?')

I hope that clarifies my statement and gets us back over the line drawn in the sand

  7. the alpha-nol is a kind of "chatty" phero. Which is great for ice-breaking and funzies, the beta opens up a deeper sense of rapport and deeper, more intense and private discussion. (I've found out so many things weaing beta!) A blend of the two is always interesting but mixed with "best friend" and "communication" oils and essences to give it an extra kick, a beta, or an alpha and beta blend could be very interesting.

May, I have learned not to use anything with Alpha-'nols in the classroom! The kiddoes are already chatty enough, and the inclusion of any alpha-'nols seems to really loosen their tongues! Beta-'nols, on the other hand, seem to relax them and make for a more receptive attitude in the classroom... especially when paired with Communication for the seventh graders/Pied Piper for the sixth graders (Hmm, I haven't tried it with BFF)

  8. P.S. We have a specific blend of pheromones which is meant exclusively for the "focus" application, too.. It is also meant to promote a state of relaxation. We sell it mostly to day spas which use it during massages, etc. to relax their customers. Of course it's up to Mara to include this within her line, if she wants to.

AS a teacher of special education students, anything which helps them focus and to be more in control of their actions is of particular interest to me. The students have been active participants in my "research" in that they are aware of the experimentation and, when they are aware of their own reactions/responses to scents, etc they contribute their feedback. Of course, they are not always aware  but my data collection is pretty thorough.

  9. I've been bad...

I have been my own "evil enabler" (Mwahahaha!)

I snuck over to Cindy's site and ordered Raven and Scandalous...

    I'm defintely addicted

    May

You and me both! These two were the same one I *had* to have as well!

Raven Moon is indeed "Deep, dark, wickedly sensuous & deliciously rich" and, I was wondering, with its description as playful, with the magickal property of eternal youth, how do you think this one might work with the new "cougar potion" additive?

  10. I have to be VERY careful with EEEWWWWW! I always say they don't call it "EW" for nothing! :( If I wear too much, it morphs into stale, unwashed WOMAN.:)

Wow, my skin must love this stuff... because the responses from every female who smells it on me range from "Nice", "I don't smell anything", to "Yum" and from My Beloved, the response is decidely more intimate.... So, is my chemistry really weird or something?

Nah, I'm just weird. Or, maybe they are weird

  11. He's also going to start building us a library of phero blends for different purposes, so that we can add any phero blend of your choice to any of the existing perfumes in our catalog for an additional fee.

    Mara and Danna,

What I would REALLY like is to explore a phero blend which helps with focus, calming, etc. You know I would use this EVERYWHERE and EVERY MOMENT, both here at school and at home. My son and students are responding so nicely to the scent/potion strategies we have put in place and some of them are even developing a conscious awareness of what the scents are doing (i.e., the requesting to sniff me/the room between classes, especially on days they are experiencing difficulties). Similarly, fellow teachers have started to come ask about the scents... and, if we could take this up a notch using pheromones, I would really love that. Any thoughts?

And, along the same lines, the spray (Zzzapp) which is out of stock on the website... will it be returning?

OHH! I just found it as a lotion! :( Do you think that would be helpful in the classroom?

  12. They are sending us the first four next week, and then we will be building our library little by little in the coming months. (Cause this stuff be expensive!)

Danna and I were playing with the idea of releasing one new Ltd Ed Phero blend each month, but also letting you add them to existing blends at will.

This is just such wonderful news! I love the idea of adding pheromones to your already powerful blends. Thank you for this added dimension to LP!

  13. (RE: Dolly): the nicest thing .... However your kindness has totally blown me away, I just can't believe it! ... and I absolutely adore you now

And that is the type of person Dolly has shown herself to be, to me, as well!

It is a very wonderful thing that we have this forum, where we can support each other not only in our LOVE (i.e., addiction) to LP scents but also where we can support each other in other ways (emotionally, spiritually). Mara and Danna have done an incredible job of creating a welcoming, caring, loving venue for us to "gather"... and we, as members, have done an incredible job of sharing of ourselves, our thoughts, and our knowledge. Thank you!

And, for the record, my son adores Dolly too! :) Yay, honey soap and its acne-fighting properties!

  14. Well, my top 5 is actually a 5-way tie......I can't decide which one I really like the best.......and which one I reach for changes from day to day.....BUT, these are the ones that I find myself reaching for the most......so, in no particular order....

    1. Dirty Sexy

    2. Messalina

    3. Dark Seductions

    4. Dominance

    5. LP Red

I love so many others.....Sabra, Honeycomb, Isis, Mummy Stuffing, ALL of the LP varieties I have tried.....ok, I'll say it AGAIN....."My name is Dolly, and I'm an LPMP addict" ;)

And mine? Note: not in order of preference:

    My favorite aphrodiasics:

    1. Dark Seductions (definitely at the top!)

    2. LP Black

    3. Scandalous

    4. LP Red

    5. Celestial Lust Dust

    My favorite Others:

    1. Dragon Potion

    2. Sandman Snoozeth

    3. Sweet Revenge

    4. Kingdom of Dreams

    5. Medium

And, My Beloved's favorite: Robin and Marian!

  15. He's doing 4 of them for us to start with: this 'chatty rapport' blend that you (and coincidently our Guru too) have been talking about; an extreme sexual attraction potion for men, ditto for women, and also what he calls a MILF blend, and Danna and I will be calling our "Cougar Potion" LOL! We have been laughing our asses off about this one and I can't wait to make it. It's for 'older' women, to give off the impression of being quite a bit younger, and for attracting young hunks. Ahhh, I think it will be my new staple scent. LOL!

He's also going to start building us a library of phero blends for different purposes, so that we can add any phero blend of your choice to any of the existing perfumes in our catalog for an additional fee.

Truly exciting news! I would be very interested in rapport and focusing types of blends... and of course, the attraction potion! Thank you so much for adding this dimension to LP!

  16. That brings up a question I've had lately...how many of you out there tell your s.o. if you are using the Phero's? I've been going back and forth about this one (of course it's my Gemini nature) and I'm not sure if

    a) I should keep the secret, thank my luck that it seems to work, or

b ) be honest cuz it almost feels a leeetle bit sneaky to be using them.

    Ladies? Gentlemen?

My Beloved knows that I wear scents intended to tantalize and entice, but does not know nor does he make inquiry into what exactly "makes" the particular scent(s) enticing or tantalizing.

I actually don't know if I have any better luck with pheromones than without. I think that I might produce enough on my own as the difference in response does not seem contingent upon the specific wearing of pheromones. I have noticed that, when my scent is different (whether it be pheromone or a blend intended for enticement such as the LP aphrodisiacs), there is an enhanced response... My Beloved and I are very sexual already... so an "enhanced response" is not increased frequency or unusual arousal but is a rather more subtle measure than that... and I think it is aroused solely by the difference in my scent. I use the sexual pheromones for that purpose... does that make sense?

  17. BTW, totally off topic.....how is the soap working for young Jacob?

The soap is working so well! Which is a good thing too because the poor guy's hormones have gone into overdrive.. in fact, for his Bar Mitzvah we had to go make an emergency new suit purchase because he outgrew the one we bought last week! His skin has reflected this increase in activity... without the soap, I think he would be a MESS! With it, his skin is relatively acne free... a fact for which he LOVES YOU :)

  18. OK, so I tried this one also today, and while it was nice, it just wasn't my cup of tea.....BUT I know that there are a lot of you ladies who are going to SWOON over it.

So, Dolly... I have that New Year's Evil... and I also procured a vial of Messalina from another site for you (when I got the Sandman... BTW,do you want that one?). I should make it to the post office either today after school or tomorrow. And, My Beloved LOVED this scent on me (I've already ordered a full bottle, but I'll take the sample off your hands if you wish).
