  1. I've had BI in UN for ages now and just never seem to get around to wearing it. I think I need to mix it with one of my other scents, just so I don't have to worry about drydown so much and I end up actually wearing it, or it is never going to get any love! Can you believe it was the first LP I ever bought, yet it is probably the least worn??

  2. Is this really similar to Pink Sugar? Does the patchouli really amp in this? I can't do strong patch scents but adore pink sugar... Would love a pink LP scent and thinking of trying this...

For what it's worth, I love Pink Sugar and yet I didn't like this much until I converted it into a spray, and even then I think I probably like Pink Sugar a little better. There are other pink smells from LP that I like a lot more... for example, Tera's Tickled Pink, Kim's Pink & Orange Dragon, Lauren's Sweet Pink Fairy, Pom Pom Nom Nom, Spinerett. Some of them might be GGG but take a look at them if you are after pink as they work better for me at least. Just my opinion, and I know a lot of others here adore LP Pink.

  3. syn- i smelt chocolate too the first time i sniffed it!

Good to know it's not just me :) Honestly I do quite like this and wish I could wear it... but I don't think I want to take that risk.

  4. That's a great report, hearts! I'm happy that it's worked out so well for you :)

So far I really, really like the smell of Goddess but I haven't tested it on the public yet...I'm a bit worried about congruence with my personality. It made me feel good when I wore it around the house, kind of slinky and sophisticated and maybe a little languid, like a cat or a femme fatale. I'm usually a pretty intense, energetic person and tend to give off a very dominant vibe. I'm usually very loud and talkative so I'm thinking it might be weird if I suddenly start giving off a "mysterious" vibe, haha. I'm told I look sophisticated, though (what? lol), a few people have said I remind them of a cat (yay!) and I do get in really quiet moods sometimes so...maybe it'll be okay.

I have received that comment from people too! Ironic for those of you that know my real name, hehe :P But what does that mean exactly? I guess if you "move like a cat" it is like you are prowling, sleek and sexy and deliberate. It has to be a good thing I imagine!

I think I'm seeing some great results from Goddess of the Blue Moon as well, but I'm going to wait to write up a full report so I have interpreted what I'm seeing right.

  5. I'm glad you like it Mel, when you read my description of it and yours and consider we are both smelling the exact same bottle, the benefit of the trading post comes through for me. You get something you want, I get to find a good home for something I didn't like as much, and everyone wins :)

  6. I just came back with my tail between my legs to say I am giving this another go and it's much better now. Maybe because I totally needed it? I sprayed this first on the fan blade, and my shoulders came down a little so I figured why not give a spray to my arms too. I feel way less sorry for myself now.

Smells much less buttery today and more cherry. I may pull this from my sales post, dammit, I need to get rid of something!

Oh damn, I would have gladly taken it off your hands! :P

  7. I absolutely love it......especially with the absolutely STIFLING weather we have been having here in Louisiana.....I am going to try making a bottle into a spray this week......will let ya'll know how it works!

Oh, a SPRAY, now that would be heavenly! I think I will convert the rest of my sample into a spray as well right now!!

  8. I've been spraying this on my pillow before going to bed and I am loving it! I'm too scared to wear it on myself as I don't want to come off "like a boy", but I see some of you girls are trying it, so maybe I should give it a go too?

As for the scent, this is gorgeous. I find it actually really boozy. Perhaps that is just the alcohol from the spray, but it actually makes me feel a little bit drunk, in a good way! Like breathing in the fumes from a newly poured glass of strong red wine. Then I get the cherry and chocolate, but the chocolate is not a sweet milk chocolate, more a dark chocolate suitable for pairing with red fruits. This is probably the only way I would be comfortable wearing chocolate, normally I find it very weird to smell on my skin, but this I think I could get away with.

My first night wearing this I instantly felt very relaxed physically. My brain was still ticking over, but my body just went limp. It was pretty easy to fall asleep. The next night was much the same, although I think my brain relaxed more. I think Heart's Ease is better at inducing the "forget your worries" effect in me, this one is more relaxation. But more testing needed to be conclusive on that.

Loving this and plan to put a bottle of it in my next shopping trolley!

  9. Wow - this is nice! It's like lime and passion fruit ice cream. Like those lime Splice ice blocks. I get the two distinct separate notes, cream and tangy fruit, and they are lovely together :)

  10. Wow, this is VERY lemon on me. Almost too much so at first, I feel like I need to layer it with something else. But as it dries down it gets sweeter, which is perfect. Sweet lemonade, a lovely bright note that would life my spirits on the darkest day. I'm sure I will love this one even more in summer, when I imagine it will be refreshingly cooling.

  11. Wow, this is... interesting! I don't know whether to love it or hate it! I smelt it and *felt* it in my throat. So weird, like breathing in something minty. I put my hand over to my cat to pet it, and she stopped purring and pulled a face at me! I thought she was going to attack me or something! Then I read that it has civet in it... LOL I guess that sends weird messages to some cats...

Ugh... a couple of minutes later and the back of my throat feels gross from this. I don't know what it is but something here isn't agreeing with me! When I don't huff it right in I like it a lot better!

  12. I love this! I don't know what fig is supposed to smell like, but I get a lovely honey smell upfront with an undertone of something floral, so I guess that is the fig. It's a bit "dry", and that makes it feel so grown-up and complex. A really great skin scent, this would be good in a lotion. Nice one.

  13. And now you are giving me a hard time about my age ... I see how it is. You are sliding further down the list ... lol.

There's an actual list?? Wow, I'm amazed I even made it onto the list at all! :P

Can *not* believe he's in his 80s...

    HE'S IN HIS WHAT NOW???!

  14. Having some trouble finding info on this one, so I apologise if these questions have been answered elsewhere. I'm wearing Forever After with Soulmate today, and noticed two interesting things about the ingredients. First, it seems to list androstanone twice? Is this a printing error or am I missing something? Second, I was surprised to see the inclusion of androstenone in this mix. I thought androstenone was a very aggressive male phero, which doesn't seem to fit the intent of this blend. I am guessing it is in an extremely low dosage, but nonetheless, can anyone tell me what the possible purpose for this phero is in Soulmate?

  15. Slathered some of this on, on the way out the door today. SO immediately commented on how good I smelled (this rarely happens), but hmm. My MIL was having a hard time with her son accepting my opinions over hers while we were out shopping today. It was seriously comical. Like she was getting mad because he bought the phone case that I suggested & didn't like me talking him out of buying the rip off phone insurance from Best Buy, which all I was really trying to say is that maybe he should shop around if he were to buy phone insurance from a provider. Idk, it was like she was threatened by the influence I was exerting over her son.

Sorry but shopping with your husband AND mother in law sounds like it's always going to be a minefield... I'd want to steer clear of that situation if it were me!
