  1. The original title of Gossamer Threads was Spider Silk. It seemed that few wanted to buy the gorgeous scent because of the ACK! SPIDAH! on the label, lol, so I renamed it for future incarnations.
  2. I think you'll like it as is, and you can even share it with your men. But it would pair well with any of the Autumnal dry leafy blends, or indeed LP Original.
  3. Personal obsession of the moment: I have been wearing Earth & Urn every day. It smells amazing on me and lasts and lasts all day into night. One day I inadvertently layered it with one of the LP Autumns of yore, and that was fabulous too, so I recommend some experimentation with it if you desire to sweeten it up.
  4. Dragon's Blood: Different harvests can smell different ways. IMO, it's supposed to smell like rich dark resin/sap. Some of them can smell a touch spicy. I have noted that low quality examples can smell like cherry or cherry bubblegum. I tend to use the types that smell lavish and rich, and I pass along ones that are not up to my standards.
  5. THE NEW RELEASES ARE UP AND ORDERABLE! Woohooo! Thank you for your patience! As always, please let me know if you find any errors, I appreciate the assist! A note about this collection: What started as a fanciful idea between Israel and myself became a true collaboration of friends, and this set would not be around without the contribution of all of those credited on this set. I want to thank Israel, one of my best friends on Earth, for facilitating this collection while I was down with The Plague last month, as well as translation assistance and aroma testing and approval while my nose was in dubious condition. Brenda contributed a multitude of recipes and ingredient suggestions based upon the holiday and other beloved Mexican traditions. Sacha also contributed recipes and ingredient ideas, and spent hours educating me about Dia de los Muertos, as well as helping to properly entitle the blends in Spanish - which was tricky, because some of them differ between Mexico and Puerto Rico! And last but certainly not least, our amazing Julie, who combined multiple voices in two languages into one cohesive masterpiece of a collection. We hope you love this set as much as we do. Enjoy! And here is your Cheat Sheet for the month!: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KinN5_S2VP-TFR1o67adQvYHixG165nFvRuDIEp5kgM/edit?usp=sharing Thank you! Good night!
  6. Actually, Espiritual is a variant of Ashes to Dust, and they have the same roots in Mexican culture.
  7. It's 'Weenie time!!! This set is a collaboration between myself and 3 of my Latin American friends....Israel, Brenda, and Sacha...who all contributed recipes, folklore and titles for this exciting themed collection. The artwork was created with the assist of an AI bot!!! Isn't it beautiful?! The perfumes should be up and orderable online by Monday, and will be debuting in our shop tomorrow, along with the grand reopening of our store - we constructed a brand new library room and expanded our divination and clothing sections - so come on down if you're local! ❤️ A couple of these were made due to your requests and suggestions...can you guess which ones? Catrina - Enhanced with Queen Bee & Aja Coconut Custard - Flan de Coco Creme Cake 22 - Torta de Crema Earth and Urn - Tierra y Urna Gossamer Threads 22 - Hilos de Araña Hungry Souls - Almas Hambrientas Pumpkin Dulce - Dulce de Calabaza Red Rum - Ron Rojo Remembrance - La Memoria Shadow Dragon - Sombra de Dragón Spike and Thorn - Espiga y Espina - Enhanced with Teddy BB Sugar Skull - Calavera Ashes to Dust 22 - De Cenizas a Polvo
  8. I have, but not in a while, because they changed the pecan note which annoyed me. I LOVED V&T. One of my faves. I liked layering it with Body Paint, which sounds weird, but smelled amazing.
  9. Ail said it was Gaelic for Halloween or something, and was pronounced something like O'shamni Shafta...in that way the letters have absolutely no relation to the pronunciation. But I looked at that first word, and said, THAT is where JK Rowling got Quidditch from. ETA: I found this: Oidhche Shamhna (Oy-hya How-na), is the eve of the ancient Gaelic festival of An t-Samhain (Un Tav-een) and the root of all things spooky and Halloween.
  10. No, seriously, does anyone really want to smell like a peanut? I have a big stash of nut oils and can hardly ever get myself to use them in perfumes. A little almond or pecan, yes, but hazelnut or peanut? Truly? If you want it, I'll make it! Be specific! lol. Cuz I am not naturally coming up with nut perfumes in my brain.
  11. I kinda like the idea of a coconut caramel. We've done it before, but with chocolate added, remember Haystacks? I'm betting it would smell better than their aroma-chemicals too.
  12. We have piles of retired labels if anyone wants to request some. We never want to throw them away, so they go back years. Sometimes we give them away in packs to kids as stickers, but we still have tons.
  13. Along with wooden tea boxes, which are a great fit, I keep mine in a shot glass display case on my wall. It's around 4x the size of this one though. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Pinnacle-Shot-Glass-Case-17-9-in-W-x-2-7-in-D-Walnut-Decorative-Shelf-15FW1877/300616436 Also, we have lots of these for holding supplies...apothecary style media cabinets (for CDs) are the perfect height https://www.cdrackshoppe.com/CD-150.html
  14. There are 3 bottles left, it was moved over to the GGG area of the LUV/Etsy site. You can ask for one to buy with your order and I will pull it from the cart for you. Thanks for asking!
  15. We did this phero blend one other time in a perfume called Indiscretion. I had completely forgotten about it until someone asked for that blend to be added to a perfume.
  16. I was surprised today to find that I am already 2/3rds through my bottle.
  17. You might have seen on our Facebook that we are closed this weekend due to a possible covid exposure, so we've locked up the shop and sent everyone home until Monday. To take advantage of our enforced time off, we are running this beloved special once again.... Since we're closed this weekend, let's do something FUN! You give us a subject or a theme, and we'll fill a mystery box for you from our shop. The cost is $100 per box, and we will choose items for you that equal AT LEAST $150.00, so you'll be getting a minimum of 33.33% off! We can ship you a flat rate box, or you can come pick up your package at the shop next week. You can say things like, Bath & Body Indulgences, or Baby Witch Starter Pack, or Harry Potter Themed, or Cat Themed....anything you like! We carry everything from perfumes to potion ingredients, from crystals to clothing, from books to decks, and spiritual items for every path. You pick the category, and we'll make sure you are delighted. This is something we love to do, and we put a lot of time and consideration into filling them. It will help us out, and we guarantee you'll be overjoyed. Participate or feel free to post any questions here, and you can email us at LovePotionPerfume-Store@yahoo.com. Weeehoooo!
  18. I have been wearing this one almost every day. Magnolias make me so happy. The cherry tree in my front yard came crashing down on my house and car during our weird heavy wet snow in April, and I had to get a new tree to replace it, so on Sunday I GOT A MAGNOLIA TREE! I did not even know they could grow up here!
  19. Thank you to everyone who has helped us donate so far! ❤️ xoxoxox ❤️
  20. I have a sneaking suspicion it's popular with the Frozen generation. lol. I never saw it before, found it looking for baby names that meant cold or icy. I like it!
