  1. The awesome labels with all of the beautiful animals leave me at a total loss as to what these will smell like. I am guessing we are looking at intent potions in tune with our animal totems, which is so cool. I do not know how flexible my budget will be this month due to our sweet Nina' s vet costs and other expenses, but I look forward to reading more about them and I guess we will see. These really do look great. What an awesome idea!

Like you, I have no idea about scents...but for some reason I'm intrigued by the idea of the seal one.

  2. I always get excited and feel like I've gotten a secret love letter when the email arrives that says "Cataluna LPMP has sent you a package". Does anyone else get that kind of excitement? Of course, when the package comes I smell everything knowing that after the 3rd or so they will start smelling alike. I still try. lol

For sure! I'm stalking my email box hard right now...and when they come in, I try to let them sit for a day because of travel shock, but I never have the restraint!

  3. EGG!!!!!!!!

These may be my favorite labels ever - can I order just a set of the labels lol!!!

I'm with everyone else, wondering how we order the sampler? Is it two samplers, since it's April/May?

ETA: Just looked at them again, and OMG the bat...how did you ever find such a cute BAT???

  4. I have to say that this has definite staying power! I added some Warm & Toasty on the spot where I sampled Burnt Umber, and the two did smell amazing together - thanks Tyvey! But after washing my hands a couple of times since, the W&T is gone, but I can still smell Burnt Umber!

  5. Sorry for the double post - I think we were posting at the same time, and it wouldn't let me edit my original post to include a qote:(

What I will probably do is order between 5-10 with each order. Any input would be greatly appreciated as far as how I can try different ones...lol

When I first started sampling things here, the trade board definitely was my friend! I bought pretty much all the phero'ed samples I could get my hands on. Most people throw in small samples as freebies too, so you get to try even more. I did find sampling to be a bit of a problem to start with though, because I'd find something I loved that would end up being GGG. Still, I've managed to get most everything I've wanted from the trading post, even backup bottles of some things I never thought I'd find bottles of.

The other thing you need to check out is the forum freebies section. Mara is amazingly generous - I've gotten to try out lots of things that I wouldn't have yet because of forum freebies!

  6. I wasn't holding out alot of hope for this one, even though I was curious about the sandalwood. I didn't like the idea of the smoke or the champa flower, and the earth note, while it sounds good to me, makes me think of Haunted Hallows which I recently tried and disliked. I was afraid this was going to be all incense-y, and when it was wet I disliked it. Now that it's dried down, though, I'm actually kinda loving it. The woods and the earth are playing very nicely together, and I'm not getting alot of smokiness at all. I agree with what a few other people have said as well - this would smell amazing on a guy. However, I don't find it too masculine to wear it myself. All in all, this one has surprised me alot. It may even make it on my fb wishlist, although there are definitely quite a few perfumes that would be ahead of it in line.

This is like opening an old wooden box that's been buried, earthy and musky.

BB this is perfect! It does smell "old" to me.

  7. Oh my gosh, wet this brings back a powerful scent-memory association...I'm not sure what it was exactly, but this smells like SOMETHING from my childhood. I wish I could remember what it was. Maybe scratch-n-sniff stickers, but I don't think that's it exactly.

When it dries down though, this gets a little too soapy for me. I'm not a fan of the soapy scents, so I probably won't be wearing it alot. However, I'm not getting the "stabbiness" that some people are, so who knows, maybe it will get some wear.

  8. Holy Crap. There goes my budget.

Agreed. I keep imagining what the NR's could be...to me the most amazing thing possible would be re-brews of some of the old favorites that everyone still wants, but I know that's not very likely...

  9. I like AM a lot, but for some reason it doesn't stick around on me for very long:( I thought it would be on the fb wish-list for sure, but I don't think so. Sorry, I feel like I keep getting super OT on this thread!

  10. I think I maybe need to slather a bit more...I feel like it would take me forever to get through a bottle. Of course that's also largely due to the fact that I keep buying more, rather than using what I already have. I was a little bit afraid of perfumes to start with, so I'm gradually wearing more and more, but I still think I go pretty light compared to most!

  11. This smells nothing like Purple Pitch.

Really? Obviously, it doesn't have the "purple" smell, but something in these two is VERY similar to me. I guess maybe it's the difference in what comes out due to skin chemistry. It's crazy how much it makes a difference, and honestly makes me a little sad that something could be awesome for someone else but not for me. That happened with a Victoria's Secret scent for me once as well - I LOVED it, had friends who wore it and it was amazing, but on me it was just nasty:(

  12. I turned a couple of sniffies of this into a spray and I am in love. This scent is SO nice, everything blends together so well and I get an impression of sweet florals. For someone who normally doesn't like floral, I love this! Now I have to hunt down a sample or bottle on the trade board...

  13. BF and I spent the weekend together and of course, i had to try out the Perfect Match. I noticed that it seemed to smooth the edges for us and get us back to being playful with each other instead of tired and cranky. So, yay! on the PM effects. However, i cannot stand the scent. Peachy apple-y old lady house -- whatever it is, my skin turn this into something horrible on me. I could not wait for it to wear off. BF was not a fan of the scent either -- he's the one who said I smeilled like old lady house.

I would like to give the Perfect Match another try, to see if the effects are consistent, but it will have to be unscented or in a diferent perfume.

You might be able to find Bonded on the trade boards...it has PM and it's a completely different scent. Very soapy, if you like that sort of thing. I personally much prefer the scent of Blush, but so far I'm not seeing a lot of phero effects from the PM.
