In the bottle: Fruity wine, and a touch of something which might be mint. This smells like a grown up version of Frosted Cranberry, Mulberry and Plum. Yummy.

On, wet: The wine comes through very strong here, similar to Zigeunerwein, but with that elusive minty top note, and something else, maybe gentle woods?

Drydown: The wine has settled, and the woods are blending with it, as if it has been aged in good oak barrels.

I suspect that as this blend ages, those woods are going to gain intensity and complexity.

I like this one, as it is kind of a love child of two of my favorite fruity scents, with the sophistication amped up. Mmmm.

I have no idea if there is actually peach in this one or not. It's a fruity, florally, something or other, very light, with something that I associate with peaches to it, (white peaches, not the yellow kind,) and that's the best I can do without notes lists to guide me, I'm afraid.

Uh, oh...Danna's conjuring creepy things again....

Danna calls this a potion for opening portals and for having communication with the departed, as well as to help them on their way if they need to move on...

This one had separated in its vial, and needed a lot of shaking before it looked blended.

In the vial: Hmm. I smell olive oil and sweet greens. Not what I expected, and I'm not sure about wearing it.

On, wet: I can't smell whatever the olive oil note was any more, so now it's most a fresh, slightly sweet greenery. Not bad, but not catching my attention either.

Drydown: Wait! What's that?! Suddenly I get a whiff of an almost floral fruitiness. It's like sweet peaches and peach blossoms. I can almost make out the greenery at the edges still, but it is turning woody now.

Late drydown: That hint of green turning woody goes even more woodsy, and takes on a licorice edge. Not the anise licorice of candy, more like a sweet sapped licorice twig. The fruity sweetness hangs on that wooden frame, coming and going in a very etherial way. Ghostly, certainly, but much more delicate and otherworldly than the ghostie on the label.

Don't judge this scent by its wet phase! It must be worn to be smelled properly!

This isn't one I'll wear often, the peachy/floral sweetness is a little on the sweet side for me, and while I'll chew on licorice root, it's not my favorite wood scent. Fans of Hoodoo will probably adore this one, as it has a similar feel, though a unique identity.

Even if I don't wear it frequently, I will be keeping at least one sample of this potion in my arsenal because I thoroughly believe it works, intent-wise -- the moment that whiff of fruitiness hit my nose, something yanked my earring out of my ear. I mean, I was sitting in my car, I hadn't turned my head, and there was nothing that could have caught on the earring. I was like, "hm, I smell something peachy," and then my earring flew out of my ear. *only a little spooked*

This smells like pumpkin- not pumpkin pie! I was disappointed by that at first, but decided to try it anyway, and I was very happily surprised by how much I liked it. It's round and earthy, not sweet.

Heh. For me it was a major advantage that it didn't smell like pie.

Have you tried layering it with sugared cream? (Don't know if it would work, and don't have a sample to test with, but am guessing that would help take it towards "pie.")

She feeds him bits of cake from the tips of her fingers...smeared playfully across lips...begging to be kissed clean of spicy carrot cake crumbs, sweet creamy frosting, vanilla, aged ambers and a drizzle of honey. Ahhhh, now that's sexy. Work your magic on someone specials this Halloween.

In the bottle: Very cakey, with a little of the sharper sweetness from honey.

On, wet: Warm, dark brown sugar. The spices in this are very subtle, and my nose has trouble picking them out. I don't get carrot cake out of this exactly, but there is a particular sweetness in there which is unique to cooked carrots.

Drydown: I agree with therapygirl that this one doesn't stay foody, but turns into a lovely very perfumey blend. If I try to pick apart teh notes, I can smell some honey and some spice, so I don't know how all those foody elements turn into this. It is very yummy, and complex.

As for effect... I just got some very nice attention from a co-worker that I've been nursing a little crush on.

The samples (not available in straight pheros, but you can get them in almost anything scented) are a great way to try out lots of scents before committing your pocket-book.

Sexy, sultry, deep and dark. Seize the night with someone you love! Darkest vanilla mingles with top notes of clove and sweet black musk. Dark woods and sweet sandalwood complete the deep dry down.

In the bottle: I get a strong dose of vanilla, rich, gooey vanilla. I worry that this will be too foody for me, but maybe the spices will come out. (I know, silly. I'll do uber spiced foody, but not plain cake.)

On, wet: What a surprise! This isn't spice but incense which is blossoming. The day is bright and sunny, but sense memory takes me to nighttime parties, with warm shadows providing the safety of anonymity, and the excitement of possibility. The vanilla is still sweet, but the musk blends with it in an enticing way, taking more towards sex than food.

Drydown: Woodsy, incensy, with just a subtle hint of the vanilla to keep it warm and sweet.

This is what I wanted LP: Black to be, dark, sexy and a perfect mesh with my skin. Not an every day scent for me, but a great addition to the tool kit.

The throw on this one is spectacular. It's as strong at three feet as it is against the skin.

Crafted almost entirely of essential oils ~ a real olde fashioned witchy brew! An herbal-y tincture of ginger roots, leaves, and other secret treasures of the Earth...its powers of healing and renewal, prosperity and proliferation, known only to the town wise woman, who brews her concoctions under the light of the full moon...

In the bottle: A very green herbal, with just the faintest breath of ginger.

On, wet: I can't smell the ginger any more, and the herbs are doing the sharp thing on me, like with Sandman Snoozeth. I will have to wait it out.

Drydown: Mmm. Glad I waited for this one to settle. First the tea starts to come out, a bitter tea, but with something ephemerally sweet behind it, probably the sage. Then the sweet green comes to the forefront, slightly woody, very dry, and hauntingly lovely, like walking into an attic with herbs drying from the rafters. The tea whispers through, sometimes stronger, sometimes barely discernable.

Don't judge this one from it's wet stages, they don't last long, and the drydown is surpassingly sweet and comforting.

I started the day with a headache, some twistiness in my stomach, and the certainty that I was about to get a full blown cold. All those symptoms have receded, and I now feel great. This is good stuff.

In the bottle: I can smell a little bit of peanut, more like peanut oil than peanutbutter, and the jelly/wine note dominates. This is a pleasant surprise. I was afraid that it would be... I don't know, somthing else. I was afraid to try it from the description, but now I'm not afraid to put it on my skin for a test.

On, wet: The juicy, winey, jelly scent is still foremost, and I can't really make out the peanut anymore. I think it's the peanut which is giving the jelly a little bit of a plastic flavor. Hmm. The jury is still out on this one.

Drydown: Close to the application spot, all I can smell is yummy, juicy, tart wine. Very lick-able, and definitely grown up. The throw, however, is completely different. Starting about a foot or two from the application spot, I smell the peanutbutter. This is absolutely bizarre. It's like I'm constantly walking into a space where someone has been making peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches, but when I smell myself, I just smell a perfumey wine note, harmonious but unconnected to the scent around me.

This is a really fun scent, in the vein of Pied Piper, and I would definitely wear it around children. I like the winey, jelly, whatever scent that I can smell close to my skin, but the peanutbutter and sugar throw is a little too much like smelling of cake for me to wear often. (Heavily foody scents just aren't my bag.)

ZOMG! Pumpkin Moon! It has been a long quest of mine to find a perfect spiced pumpkin scent. There are a lot of them on the market, and none of them smell right. (All too many end up smelling like a rancid version of that horrid fake pumpkin flavoring that everyone tries to add to beer. Talk about another quest for pumpkin perfection.)

Last year's Sugared Pumpkin was the closest I'd found, as it was the first to really embody that round warmth at the back of a real pumpkin smell. (Does that even make sense outside of my head?) But this... this is perfect! It has that round warmth, and the bright pumpkiny front, and exactly the right amount of spice. The musks make it blend well with the skin, so it smells natural as a perfume, instead of smelling like you accidentally spilled pie filling down your front. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum.

I haven't noticed much change in the scent as it has dried down, it is just as yummy now as when I applied, perhaps a tad more spicy.

The throw is good, so I am walking around in a cloud of perfect pumpkin. I couldn't be happier.
