  1. Are there going to be 'Weenies this year? I was just wondering because I'm thinking of ordering a couple of masks, but if there will be new releases in the next month or so, I will wait. Don't want to cost you extra paypal fees and shipping costs if I can help it. Not sure if this question is too soon. Hope you've had a chance for a breather after the sale.

It becomes rather more perfume-y but not in a bad way,

Lol, literally my first note to myself said, "More perfumey than usual, but not in a bad way."

So, more perfumey than usual, but not in a bad way. ;) This is definitely not a daytime scent. It's rich, dark and sensual.  If this was unphero'd, my first instinct would have been to pair it with Sexpionage or BI, but I understand why Leather was chosen.

I'm not sure if it's the phero or the scent (probably  both), but this has a sense of power. The woman who wears this is very collected. Never harried. I'mreminded of when a character in a movie is the head of an illegal organization. It shows them sitting in low light, tucked away in a corner booth, surrounded by heavies, with only an occasional nervous petitioner approaching. You know that power resides there and major deals are being done. This is the female version of that. Tantalizing, but also dangerous.

I kept wanting to inhale deeply.  There is a touch of powderiness, but it is in the background.  More of an after effect. The sense of what lingers. It creates more of a smoky impression. Not so much baby powder. It's not a loud scent, but it is not in any way a timid scent. You have to own it. Hah, in both senses! I definitely plan to buy a bottle.

  3. This one reacts so oddly with my chemistry and ends up being all over the place. I have no idea what to think.

It starts off with a nice, fun, fruity sweetness. The milk/cream/butter combo often (not always, but often) does this weird thing with my skin chemistry where it ends up smelling like cigarettes. It started doing that, but not to the full extent it sometimes does. The sweetness was still going on,  though. So up close, it was very sort of cigarette-ish. At a middle distance, though, it read as sweetly smoky. But, then, every time I moved, I got fruit! What you doing, body chemistry, what you doing?

I am very confused and may have to get a bottle just because I find it so very inexplicable.

The maile vine scent is unique, almost as if a plant secreted a green honey/vanilla sap. But not sticky, emphasis on green. Any stickiness would be from skin and the humidity. BF said, “surprisingly floral, for you,” as this girl wears no florals on the regular. (He always says “you smell nice,” when I wear a flowery trial to bed, but I’m not looking to smell “nice.”) I’m guessing it’s an association with the ozone accord, as it’s often paired with Jasmine and whatnot. This is not a floral, IMO.

Huh. In my reaction notes, I kept describing this as floral. Interesting that he and I read it that way, but you don't. I wonder why that is.

I found this very oceany, but also floral (in a very plant like way.) On me, it was more feminine than straight up unisex. It's like sitting on a restaurant patio somewhere in the tropics. The restaurant is near the ocean. Not directly on it, but close enough to catch the breeze. You're right at the edge of the patio, next to planters full of tropical flowers, so every time the breeze blows, it rustles the plants, mingling in their scent with that of the ocean. That's what I get, at least. A fresh, aquatic tropical floral that becomes more floral as it wears.

I found it very soothing, and I think the pheromones helped take the emotional edge off the headache I had, too.

  5. This starts off very orange on me, but with a layer of duskiness  to it. (Auto correct changed that so many times. No, I do not mean dusk kindness or dust lines. 😛 ) The citrus fades quickly from my wrists, but lasts longer in the crook of my elbows. What's left after the citrus is gone us a quiet, very unisex light scent with an underpinning of freshness.

  6. Haru is a pretty floral. Subtle and delicate. It almost becomes powdery, but never quite reaches there. I would say Haru is sheer, but not clear, though I'm not sure that will make sense to anyone other than me.

As it dries down, it becomes a touch (really, just a touch) sweeter and the tea becomes more noticeable.  Haru is light and feminine, yet still serious. At first, I wasn't sure Lace was really a match, but after a while, I could see how they vibed. In this mixture, Lace didn't give me that heady, giddiness that it usually does in the first hour, but also didn't  give me that come down, either. It was the first time I could really understand how other people find Lace more wearable. Chemistry, man. It's wild.

An hour or two in, it really stars to bloom and becomes even prettier. Cherry blossom, hibiscus, and tea can all wear kind of dry one me, but in this blend, that dryness isn't there. After even longer, it does get a bit soapy, but a pretty soap, like a fancy bath wash.

  7. After reading the description of Sweet Joyce, I was wary because I thought it was going to be CAAAAAAAAAKE. I ended up getting it as part of a threebie package. I was pleased to discover that while it was cake, it wasn't  CAAAAAAAAAKE. I think I was mostly afraid of it being far too sweet in a cloying, sickening, tooth achingly way. I needn't have feared, though. It's a  controlled sweetness that isn't overpowering.

Wet, it is all cake (but not CAAAAAAAAAKE.) As it dries down, the spices develop. It's very reminiscent of a coffee cake. To me, it's a bit like Warm and Toasty, but a cake version.

  8. I'm not a huge fan of the regular LP#9; it just doesn't work that well on me. So I was surprised by how much I liked this variant. I find it to be not quite as harsh as the regular one. The tea and spices take the edge off and give it more complexity. I would say this is leaning on the masculine side of unisex, but not too far over. Easily wearable for a woman.

  9. Just read the notes and I. Am so. Excited. For literally every one of these! The whole collection sounds amazing. It's like this collection was designed to appeal directly to me. There wasn't a single one I was even "meh" on when reading about. Cannot wait to smell them all! And, as others have said, the artwork is stunning.

That made me laugh. Never ceases to amaze how people get such radically different impressions from same perfume, indies in particular. Skin chemistry and noses are a funny thing.

Glad it could amuse! My skin chemistry does some very strange things, indeed.

I love me some Sugared Bacon! But I'm guessing I'd pass on Green Forrest Bacon. I will ask my man to wear this again, now I'm curious.

I thought my neighbors were cooking at first, until I realized it was me! As a long time vegetarian, smelling like bacon isn't exactly what I'm looking for, unfortunately.

  11. The first notes are floral and an almost bitter chocolate. I don't smell smoke, but it reminds me of smoke. Like a crackling fire in the background of a romantic evening. It has a lot of throw and is more of a fall or winter scent. This is a mature, serious fragrance and I mean that in the best way. After about thirty minutes, the notes seem to almost separate. They become more distinct, while both remaining present. Instead of creating one scent, they weave in and out of each other, dancing together like the name. And, then, just as the orchid dies, the honey comes out, beginning a new dance, all its own.

  12. This is one of those where I'm reluctant to leave a review because I feel like I am having an entirely different experience than everyone else. Where my skin chemistry and my nose combine to not just put me in left field, but on an entirely different planet. Where I'm reading the reviews and nodding along while all the while internally going, "Soooooooooooo.......no one else is getting bacon, then?"

    Because, somehow, I'm getting bacon.

I think it is something about the smoke, and maybe how it is interacting with the other ingredients. I've tried it twice, now, to be sure, and both times it was the same. Forest cologne scented bacon. Smoked meat lying on a pile of evergreens, like some sort of medieval yule feast. I felt rather like the ghost of Christmas present wearing it. Once the pastrami scent died down after a couple of hours, though, it was mostly a masculine pine. I'll wear a lot of men's scents, but this one was unfortunately a little too masculine for me. (Plus, y'know, the whole bacon thing.) I really wanted what everyone else got, but, alas, it was not to be. 😢

  13. This is a fresh carnation, very floral. It's more of a traditional perfume, without being perfumey. Has a lot of throw. As it begins to dry down, it gets more spicy, which is an interesting contrast with the freshness of the floral. There are a lot of things going on at once, but they work together. The result is an intriguing, well blended scent. I imagine this as the scent of a person with a high powered job. You take them seriously. Despite that, it is still a very feminine and romantic scent. The person who wears this has confidence and doesn't need to conform to your rules or expectations because they know their own power. You don't know what to expect from them as they always catch you off guard.

I'm hoarding.  I find that if I know I can't get something anymore, then I just don't use it at all (because I can't get it anymore).  And that is just a crazy way to live.  So, I can start phero'ing it up again.

Same. I have a tendency to not wear the things I really love. The more I love something, the more reluctant I am to wear it. When I finally get stern with myself and put it on, I am so happy, though.

I'm practically giddy with the prospect of wearing Bang regularly again.

  15. Lumina is the phero I get the most consistent effects from. It's practically clockwork. I get reactions from two very different, but very distinct groups.

The first group is women in their fifties. You may ask, "How do you know they're in their fifties?" Because they tell me. In fact, they tell me everything. It's like I'm their best friend/confidant/therapist/religious counselor/diary all in one. It doesn't matter if I'm in line at the grocery store, in a waiting room, getting take-out, I will hear their life story. I have heard all kinds of details about divorces, kids, dating, careers, traumas, etc.  Just immediate and complete soul baring and telling me their innermost secrets. If a woman in her fifties ever commits a crime and you need a confession, just slap some Lumina on me and stick me in the room, because I will get it! Oddly, it's not women in their forties, or women in their sixties. It's really specifically women in their fifties.

The other group that I get consistent reactions from are teenage boys. They, thankfully, are not telling me their deepest, darkest thoughts. 😂 They just kind of stand near me. Generally while looking really confused, like they know they need to stand near me, but aren't sure why. It's like a jump scare in a movie. I'll be out running errands, minding my own business, when I turn around and suddenly there's a teenage boy there. They never try to interact, they just...hover.  Like little unsure ducklings.

What's really funny is when there's a family with a woman in her fifties AND a teenage boy. They will straight up follow me around. It has happened more than once. It's especially funny when the other family members trail along looking really confused. Last time it happened was at a festival. I managed to lose them at the food trucks.

While these reactions are extremely consistent, they're not ones I'm particularly aiming for. (Not bad, just not useful.) Despite this, I wear Lumina anyway because I like the self effects. When I wear it, I feel very calm and collected. It makes me feel good about myself. It's a subtle confidence. It's not powerful like with Dominance or strutting like with Audacious. More like it makes me feel good about myself without realizing it. It's a worry reducer. I can do things with less anxiety, like make phone calls or talk to people. It makes me more comfortable, with both myself and others.

Hello!!! Apologies for being so scarce lately.  We've been moving and my computer died right after I finished the last collection. Didn't want to buy a new one before I had a place to put it in my new office!

The answer is YES, there will be a Pherotine and it's going to be spectacular but it's also going to be late.  Spectacular because Dr Stone is making us a bunch of brand new blends to replace everything we've lost from our old supplier. I'm so excited for these as there is no one on earth better than Stone and he finally found time to formulate for us again. The man is insanely busy and flies all around the country constantly so getting his undivided attention is a rare and special thing! He's making us new formulations for Super Sexy and Bang, Gotcha, Popularity, and Girl/Girl. As well as replenishing our whole supply of single molecules so I can formulate too. They are supposed to arrive around the end of January. And since my perfume ingredients are currently all packed away, the realistic release date for the Pherotine collection looks like it will be sometime in March.

But let me tell you, your jaws will drop when you see our new LP castle. You'll want to start saving your pennies for a pilgrimage to Portland.  The place can be described as nothing less than MAGICAL!!!

    Pictures to follow soon!

I am glad the new location is working out so well!

Oh my goodness. I did not think Pherotine could get any better, but it just did! I am so pumped!!! Old favorites, but with new formulations, so it will include all the fun of trying them out all over again. :DDD  I am curious to see if there will be any differences in reactions. I swear I get as much, if not more, fun testing pheros as using them. And a replacement for Bang, I could weep with joy. It really is my desert isle phero. Looking forward to all the new fragrances to go with them, too. It is going to be well worth the wait.

Now, I just have to get to work finalizing what to get this month.
