Well, personally, I used to be a real tequila-head. FOR YEARS, it was generally the only "hard" liquor I would drink. Thus why I am rather well-educated on the subject. And have tasted a LOT of different varieties. A good tequila can be excellent, and a bad one....well, can be horrifyingly bad......like paint stripper. Lately, though, I have been more inclined toward flavored whisky and bourbon. I just thought the forum members might like a little "tequila 101" this afternoon.

Technically, all tequilas are a type of mezcal. Mezcal simply means an alcoholic drink that has been distilled from agave. "Regular" tequila is generally made with only the blue agave plant, whereas most that are labeled and sold as "mezcal" are made with a blend of different varieties of agave. Mezcal is generally a little smoky tasting, due to how it is made and how they roast the agave. And, mezcal can be clear, too. So, just because a tequila is dark, doesn't mean it is definitely "mezcal" and sold as such. It has to be processed in a certain way to be sold as mezcal. The color of gold tequila can get there in two ways......many of the cheaper ones add artificial caramel color and/or different sugars to mellow the flavor. The better ones are aged in barrels which give it the color. Silver tequila is very rarely aged, or is only aged for a short time. The aged gold tequilas are better for shots and can be killer for cocktails, if you get the right one. Just make sure if you go for gold tequila, get the one that says 100% agave on the label. Those are the best, IMO, and have been aged to get the color. I like Patron silver too....it's pretty smooth. I haven't tried the Patron gold, but I have tried some damn good gold tequilas. I had a friend who brought me a bottle of aged gold tequila from Mexico, and it was sooooooo goooooood. Definitely a good sipping tequila. I can almost guarantee that if you took a sip of a good aged gold tequila, it would change your mind. Just like tequila, mezcal can be good or bad, too..... OK,end of tequila lesson......

My man had a serious depressive issue when I used Perfect Match, so I wouldn't try that one again with him......personally rather than adding a couple of different blends, I would go with SS4M......that one cranks my motor EVERY TIME. -

AIL'S OPEN WINDOWS--ALCOHOL BASED
Dolly replied to Dolly's topic in Women's UNscented Pheromone Reviews
Yes, that scent is just so congruent with OW....fruity and fresh without overpowering those people who have "sensitive noses". -
AIL'S OPEN WINDOWS--ALCOHOL BASED
Dolly replied to Dolly's topic in Women's UNscented Pheromone Reviews
OW is one of my main pheros.....it has so any uses! And the Drive-By-Fruiting melts with OW have been indispensible for my tax office! -
Also, never ever EVER get cops in your hair! Even the scented ones.....after the scent leaves, you smell nothing but COOCH. And yes, there is ALWAYS a point where it is TOO MUCH. If people are shying away from you, looking at you like you're from another planet, etc, you have applied too much.

What Pheromones for Menopause?

Yeah, just light on the cops in public. And keep trying till you find the one that works for you! -
What Pheromones for Menopause?
Dolly replied to WildAutumn's topic in General questions, advice and comments about pheromones
I am right there with you. In menopause with all the trimmings, so to speak. I still like playing with the cops and sexy blends around my man, because sometimes when he gets "cranked up", that's all I need to boost my lagging libido. As far as pheros for sexual selfies, sexpionage works very good for me. Thankfully, I also have a man who will wear Super and other men's pheros for me, and he loves Mara's scents. The social blends like Open Windows and Cougar are indispensable to me, and for work, I love my Dom, since I am often around obstinate or even downright cranky men in my line of work. WildAutumn, with LAM, if you were wearing a lot of it in a public setting, that could have been the problem. It has a lot of cops in it, and I have experienced a cops OD......one of the reactions is that people pretty much shy away. You may have put on too much. -
Nicer in person! I ended up ordering the other two colors AND a couple of journals too!
-
I have to say, I got one of these pens, in red, as a special Christmas gift to myself, and it is even prettier in person! Absolutely breathtaking!! Looks like a little miniature magic wand.....I may need the other colors too!

No, I am getting ready to post an update later. It looks like the soap may not happen right now, due to factors beyond my control.

This one is very nice. Will probably age very well, too.

Uns versus scented pheros
Dolly replied to Blanche's topic in General questions, advice and comments about pheromones
Very true Halo. It is a YMMV thing. -
Uns versus scented pheros

Some I am OK with UN, some I prefer the enhanced......Cougar is one that I have had in UN, and it worked "OK", but the original scented Cougar is ALWAYS better. Period, hands down. And I agree that 7 sprays is probably overload. You were either in OD land, or as BB said.....diminishing returns. -
New Releases for DECEMBER 2015! Happy Holidays!

AND IS THAT AN "LP" TATTOO ON THE "MERRY" GIRL'S ANKLE? NICE TOUCH!! -
For our beloved guru, the Dolly Rama: Soft, warm and dusky, this scent is comprised of Egyptian Musk, Indian Attars of Golden Sandalwood and Black Amber, and a slightly animalic Amber EO.
-
So, at my request, Mara agreed to try a little deeper version of the musk I requested. It is nice. It's smooth, with a little depth, and slight woody notes. Not too dark, and I don't think I would put it on a man, because it has more of a feminine quality to it. I think this one will age well, so I am definitely tucking some away!

Phero Charged Money Potion w/ SWS 2015
Dolly replied to Beccah's topic in Women's Pheromones & Phero Fragrance Reviews
Yeah, I didn't get any of the V2, due to the praline, as I was worried it would be too foody for my tastes. This one is nice though.....not cakey or sticky, but fresh fruit and vanilla. Only a touch of vetiver.
