  1. I have just put this on to go out for the evening and after it had fully dried down I put on a spritz of Pink Sugar (I am on a Pink Sugar craze at the moment). Ohhhhh.... these two smell SO wonderful together. The Pink Sugar gives it the sweetness I was craving but it is sooo deep and sexy now, like having sex on a bed of pink and white and brown sugars. This is yummy perfection.

  2. This is a really fresh, clean smell. I'm really surprised at finding a more unisex, almost masculine scent, that I really enjoy on myself. I guess it is rounded out with just a bit of sweetness and the tanginess has that quality to it that I like in fruity smells. I echo the comments that is goes powdery-soft on dry-down. Actually I am getting a bit of floral on drydown too I think, but not a lot, just a tease. A really pleasant, subtle, fresh smell. I knew I was right to order a full bottle of this unsniffed, in spray form no less!

I'm wearing this to work tomorrow and have a meeting with the minions. Hoping this will give me an edge! If the pheros are anywhere near as good as the scent this one will be a favourite for sure!

  3. I haven't read through all the many posts on this topic, so sorry if I am just repeating what others have already said; in any case it doesn't hurt to have another person reiterate it! I have version III of this, and I do get the caramel and sugar thing happening, only, and I don't know how this works exactly, but it is sugar without being sweet?? I like Sporty's description of it as toasted brown sugar, that's definitely what I get. Kind of that bitter sugar smell... It's ok, but not my favourite. Wow, I seem to be saying that about a lot of fragrances lately! I guess I have a few favourites now and nothing else smells quite as good to me... I have been spoilt :blushing:

  4. This is definitely all MELON. It really does smell like actual watermelon or something, nothing cheap or imitation, but like the real thing! I don't think I've ever worn a melon scent on my skin before, and although I usually like fruits I don't think I'm a fan of the smell of melon, but it's still ok. Fortunately the melon while loud on application calms down a lot on drydown and I get the other fruits peeking through. Very fruit salad. A more mature, womanly fruit smell to me.

After drydown I actually found myself wondering - is there cops in this?? It smells like "dirty fruit" to me, if that makes sense! Nice!!

I can't wait to try this out with Sexpionage, Blatant Invitation, or EoW, I think this would enhance the smell of cops so well!

  5. Tried out Spa Mint with Tranquility yesterday. I'm not a big fan of the scent, but then I don't usually like mint. Actually this smells a little menthol-y to me, which I'm also not fond of. It's not abhorrent or anything, just not something I'm too keen on. I can't remember noticing any particular effects, but I didn't feel very stressed out, so I guess the Tranquility was working!

I'm burning Nox + B2 at the moment. It's very rich and creamy and chocolatey to my nose. It makes me feel warm and is perfect for this rather cold evening. I don't know if it's a placebo or not but I'm feeling quite relaxed and soothed. Liking this one so far.

  6. Does anyone have any idea how much, relatively speaking, alpha androstenol is in this? I have only tried applying a moderate amount because I'm nervous of getting a negative reaction, like I have with Scent of Eros or Tabby. Can anyone tell me if there is more or less in LAM? So far I'm relieved to say I haven't felt the shakiness or caffeine effect from using a moderate amount, so I might start slowly experimenting upwards to see where the limit is for me on this.

Also if anyone is interested, I converted part of the oil into a spray, at 1/3 oil to 2/3 alcohol ratio, and the scent seems very faint, not that this is a bad thing at all. I still really can't smell cops at all on drydown, there is just the faint pinkness. I put on some of the oil this morning, then two small spritzes of the spray I made, then when it had all dried down a sray of Pink Sugar over it all. I smell really good, but it turns out I have had minimal contact with anyone today so not too sure about how the pheros are working.

  7. It's rap for ' word to your mutha'

    Like you better believe it.

Vanilla ice made it popular in the 90s

But the short cool non vanilla ice way is just

    WORD

Or if you are religious it can also mean liturgy of the word.

You know when the priest raises the book and says ' this is the liturgy of the word Jesus Christ '

Then everyone says glory be or something, but I always wanted

To shouT WORD to your MUTHA

Hahaha! Ok thanks. Guess I am too young/old/Australian/whatever to have heard that before :P

  8. I got this in a sniffee first and am so glad I got to try it out, because even in that I got hooked and ordered a trial size. I am thinking I should have gone straight to a full bottle. It is my favourite fruity scent. At first I didn't think it was that sweet, just fruity, but somehow it seems a lot sweeter now. Very candied fruits. It smells like Nectar de L'amour to me, which I also love. What is the common element between the two that smells so good??

  9. OH! This is amazing! I am SO glad Mara threw in a sample of this for me - thanks so much!! I need more of this for sure. A real winner!

What is the lovely smell I get in the bottle and on initial application? I think it might be the berries... but it is so sweet? It's like smelling the most delicious candy. It hangs around even after drydown, just becomes less sharp. A bit of a younger person's scent, but I'm finding that is me at the moment, probably because I'm a fragrance noob and don't yet know what to make of the more complex blends. I don't get anything deep or dark or rich from this, just all light, sweet, berry goodness. I don't have the perfume vocabulary yet to describe it properly, but I love it!

  10. I thought I would absolutely love this one, and nearly ordered a full bottle of it (but went with a trial size instead at the last minute), so I'm surprised that I actually don't like the smell too much in the bottle or on initial application. I get too much of what I'm guessing is the amber and patchouli from it, and it drowns out the fruit to me. I have found these notes don't work on me and so I was worried about wearing it, but they do settle down on my skin it seems, thank goodness. It becomes "creamy fruit", but not too loud. It's pretty nice after drydown, but not my favourite so far. Still I think it will work well to drown out cops-heavy blends.

  11. Wore this one today and I'm getting a bit of the sharp tanginess from it, but not too much and it is hidden under the vanilla. To me it is a very subtle smell that wears close to the skin, and could pass off as your own natural skin scent. It's not the type of scent I normally go for, but I like it. I like your idea Mara of putting it with La Femme Mystere, I think that could work well.

  12. After reading all the advice here, I think I'm going to convert part of my LAM Pink Amber oil into a spray, then try wearing a little oil with just a spritz or two of spray on top. Then the alcohol-borne scent will be there to draw them in, but the oil part will linger close to my skin after it has gone. Best of both worlds that way!

  13. While I see this thread has gone off in a very different direction, I wanted to comment on the original question posed.

When I wear EoW under Pink Sugar I get a kind of "dirty" smell coming through. It doesn't change the Pink Sugar, but to me Pink Sugar (which I love even on its own by the way) kind of works well alongside it. It's like, the EoW alone would suggest that you are dirty or haven't washed, but the fresh sweetness of Pink Sugar says this is clearly not the case. I feel like the EoW becomes more sexy than dirty. I certainly don't like to wear EoW on its own and find Pink Sugar is a brilliant "cover" for it for this reason - it enhances it, rather than covers it.
