The fact is, that anything burned into the air is essentially pollution and potentially harmful to humans and animals. Including the smoke from burning food. Always make sure your space is well ventilated, no matter what you are burning.

Thank you so much @Potion Master! I appreciate your reminder about the ventilation too!

🤣🤣🤣 Close! I ordered 4 bottles. If they weren't OCCOs, I would've ordered more. I work in a place where OCCOs are a no-go, so I only wear my pheroed/OCCO perfumes at home or on the weekends. 4 bottles should last me a long time.

You're very judicious with how you wear them! I'm a slatherer haha. You have a good point though! I haven't tried it yet but I'm very excited to do so. If I really like it and a virgin version came out, I'd be interested in a spray. I really like creamsicle scents and flavours! I'm also curious how you would compare it to your Private Edition.

  3. I was inspired to finally write a review for this by @Mila posting that she wore this yesterday.

I received this and some other samples on November 7 last year, so there's been some time to rest. To be honest, I only got a trial of this because the lady in the label is gorgeous! Her three-quarter profile reminds me of Liv Tyler's. After sniffing all the trials though, I think this is my favourite out of all the samples in that set.

Raspberry Chiffon reminds me of raspberry cupcakes with raspberry filling. I'm also getting lemon as if there's lemon zest interspersed in the crumb of the cupcake. It's subtle but delicious! 🧁🍋

I just had Mr. Onyx sniff this from my chest and he said, "Oh this one's nice. I like this. It reminds me of something flowery. (He mentions one of his grandmas.) Like a honeysuckle. *Sniffs again* Oh there's some fruit there too. Like a light apple. And cinnamon." 💐🍎🥧

He didn't quite pick out the notes but he really likes it. I asked him why he mentioned one of his grandmas and he said the scent reminds him of her, like something that she might wear around the house. I think the apple and cinnamon are probably from his association with her making really good fresh apple pies and how her fragrance and the scent of what she baked would linger around her. She also had a nice garden with fragrant flowers. It was like a meadow really. I don't know if she'll have the same scent about her nowadays since she no longer lives in the same house, but if I remember, I might sniff her! 🌬️👵🏻🍎🥧💐🏡

Overall, we're both fans of this one!

Oh and @citrine, my skin eats this one up too. I experienced the same when I would put it on my arms. It's very nice but goes away quickly. That's why I put it on my chest because I wanted it to get on my clothing and stay that way. It's been almost 12 hours and I could still smell it from my shirt! 💗

  4. Okay, I've fallen off the review wagon for the past several weeks but I'm sort of getting back to it now. I think I got my sample back on September 30 last year, so there was a lot of time to rest. I did travel with it some around Autumn time and I've tested it here and there.

This is really potent. A little dab goes a long way. I was surprised because I expected this to be a sheer, clean scent. I keep making the mistake of swiping a lot and getting so overwhelmed that I usually wash it off. I found it pretty hard to appreciate because of that so I kept letting it rest.

Sometime last year though, I decided to swipe this (along with other scents) on little pieces of paper towel. I just left them alone and sniffed them throughout the day. I really liked this on the paper towel after a day went by. It was such a big contrast to being on my skin.

In terms of scent, Sneaky Clean reminds me of the following, some of which were already mentioned by previous reviewers:

    • 🧼 Dove Original Beauty Bar - We travelled last year and this was a soap in one of the places we stayed at. I didn't sniff them side by side, but the soap's smell is very similar to this on wet application.
    • 💮 Body Fantasies: Fresh White Musk - Just for the dry down part. I think I need to hunt this fragrance down because I'm just relying on memory.
    • 🧺 Freshly-laundered towels - Certain laundry soaps smell like this. I cannot give a brand name or specific scent, but towels seem to capture this scent very well.
    • 🪟 Certain fragrances along the lines of fresh linen, fresh laundry, etc. - It's been years but I think Clean has something that smells similar. It might be Warm Cotton or Fresh Laundry. It could even be The Original scent.
    • 🪞 My grandmother's vanity - I'm not sure why. She's a Chanel N°5 lady. From what I recall, she used lotion and oils too. Perhaps it's the overall scent of everything that smells similar to this. Although, since Mara identified that this has the same musk as Amanda's Beach Sol, and that one also gave me nostalgic vibes from my grandmother's vanity, I think it might be the musk that I'm getting.

Overall, I'm not really into its scent when wet, but I really, really like the dry down. Because of that, I tried this yesterday night on my chest instead of on my arm. That worked out very well because my shirt captured the scent especially the sweet musk that I really like. It's actually still on my shirt right now and it's been around 24 hours, which means I should probably shower now lol!

I also asked Mr. Onyx to sniff this from my chest. He said, "It smells like public bathroom soap." I almost rolled my eyes because he's said that for other scents too and also because I thought he might just be picking up the seaweed again because I just washed my hands with Mermaid Soup. He said, "But the bougie kind of public bathroom soap."  I still think it's the scrub he was smelling since for him, the scent of Mermaid Soup upgrades from "public bathroom soap" to "hotel soap" on my skin. I might just need to try this again with him. 😆

    Savage Beast is foodie though

Yeah, I couldn’t sleep and kept on rearranging. Ended by ordering everything because I need to start sleeping already before this week ends lol

You are right, it is foodie! It's one of those scents I did not expect to like even though the description is something I would be interested in. Same, @Mila! I think I left my cart open for two nights. It's funny actually. I was thinking of you because I just finished my order five minutes ago! I ended up getting at least trials of all the OCCOs with some bottles.

I got all the wax melts I requested and picked up some others that sounded good to me. Now I need to find out whether we donated our tea candles or if we still have them somewhere! 😅

It's my favorite musk too, it's an attar I get from India, and is also in Allumette and Unisexy, and a bunch of other things. Balm, Bomb, Sneaky Clean, Tonka Musk, etc.

@Potion Master: Thank you, Mara! This made me swipe Sneaky Clean to see if I can detect it! Now I'm watching out for Indian attars. Is it in any of the new OCCOs? Like Honeyed Oud or Paradise?

  7. I'm curious what everyone else is getting!

I was initially planning to get a sampler set for all the OCCOs but with the wax melts release, I'm trimming down my list.

I really enjoy foodie and fruity scents so I am looking at: Orange Droolious and Blue Apple. But I also like being surprised by delicious skin scents so I am also considering at least getting trials of Sandal Musk and Paradise

For wax melts, I'll be getting those I requested that Mara kindly made: Buttercream LemonLove Potion: Pink, and Rose Cookies. I'm also picking up some others like Orange Droolious and Pink Candy Apple

I am very excited to try all of these but I have yet to place my order! 😅

    Thanks for that input everyone!

With the online store, you guys ever use the search engine or the sorting features? You can do it on our site pretty easy, just type in your word - sex, relaxation, etc., and if the word is in there, or the tag is on there, it'll come up. With the store, there's a wall of perfumes and it's likely too confusing. I walked into the shop today and a gal was at the perfume wall, and as I was putting down my purse, she started to leave. I asked if she had any questions, and she said it was all too much and she didn't know where to start. She ended up finally telling me what she was after, scent and intent, and walked out with a bottle of Sensual Harmony, which she loved. I'm working on an app right now, which I started like, I dunno, 15 years ago, but it may actually happen this time, where you can choose your need for the day and it'll tell you what to wear or what to order. Fingers crossed it works out this time!

@Potion Master: What you said about the lady's experience reminds me of something I heard again recently, that choice overload could lead people to paralysis and not choosing. I'm glad you were able to help her out!

I have used the search engine and sorting features in the online store and use search in the forums a lot too. It's been helpful when I want to get similar scents from a certain release (in the online store) because I can easily see the foodie or candy-like scents that I'm interested in.

I also try to research prior releases (here in the forums) to read reviews, paying special attention to comments by anyone who enjoys or avoids certain scents that I do. It actually helps me very much when people also give feedback when a scent did not work for them. For example, if someone says the vanilla is too foodie for them, I become more interested in it. It also gives me a better idea if someone might be amping similar notes.

Ok ok, I’ll wait on the wax melts until I have a proper warmer! Thanks for the warnings, I’m naive enough to have f’d around and found out😂

@Amanda! They're also selling the wax/oil warmer kit with the wax melts listing! 🕯️

  9. I ordered this end of November last year and it was shipped very quickly! It did not get to me until closer to the end of December (and it seemed like it went missing for around 3 weeks) probably due to the holiday mail rush.

I was really looking forward to my bath & body package because I've been having some skin issues, especially with dryness, and I wanted to try the Olive & Apricot Cream on my hands. I'll need to write a separate review for that later, but this Seaweed & Sugar Scrub was unexpectedly very helpful with the dryness!

At first, I was mostly neutral about this scrub. I usually prefer scrubs that can exfoliate me really well, almost to the point that it might hurt lol. I did get this knowing it's not super scrubby. It's actually quite moisturizing and good for those with more sensitive skin. I figured I might just take this out once in a while and I might struggle to finish this within six months.

I haven't tried the Mermaids of Atlantis fragrance and I'm not picking up the individual notes of the scents in this. It does remind me of a scrub used on me during a spa day years ago. Somewhat herbal and calming but not in a lavender-type way. I asked Mr. Onyx though and he said, "I think this reminds me of the plastic in new shoes." Then later he said, "This reminds me of public bathroom soap." 😬

Anyway, one day, I decided to just use this in place of soap. I used it on my face, my body, and my feet. I even scrubbed my hands because they were very itchy due to the dryness. After I was done showering, I felt my hands and wow! The leftover butter and oils that remained protected my hands during subsequent handwashing and they felt so soft! I felt so good because of that and I thought I smelled great too. I went up to Mr. Onyx and just asked him to sniff me. He said, "You smell nice. Like luxurious hotel soap." I informed him that this was the same scrub that he said reminded him of the plastic in new shoes and public bathroom soap. He said it smelled different on me. He smelled it again in the bathroom later and he said he's sorry but it really reminds him of the portable loos. 😭🫣😆 I think he's picking up on the seaweed aspect and making that association. I really like this stuff though and I think it smells great on me.

I've been putting my jar by the sink so that I can use it after handwashing to help my hands. I've been using too much though (probably a tablespoon every time) and I started really going through it! I'm trying to save it a bit now because I only have a quarter of the jar left! I also accidentally left too much water in the jar after one shower. It separated the butter/oils and formed a layer on top. I had an idea to just use that part on my skin and it smelled so good! I almost did not want to wash it off! (I also tried the emulsion as a hair conditioner but I need to do more testing on that.)

I think if possible, Mermaid Soup would also be great as a Seaweed & Salt Scrub (for those like me who'd like more scrubbiness) and a Body Butter & Oil because the way its butter & oils sit on the skin is just too good both in scent and moisturization! 🧜🏻‍♀️🧜🏻🧜🏻‍♂️

Seeweed Sugar Scrub - Mermaid Soup

    Scrubby Scale - Medium - 3/5

Sugar scrub with a generous helping of seaweed. Seaweed is soooo good for your skin, and this is my new favorite scrub. I can't believe how smooth and silky this makes me. Said to help with acne, rosacea, detoxifies, exfoliates, nourishing, anti-inflammatory, assists thyroid functions...A little more about seaweed use for the body here: http://www.livestrong.com/article/98362-benefits-seaweed-skin/

I scented it somewhat similarly to Mermaids of Atlantis, more like a tropical umbrella drink, with primarily food flavoring oils - pineapple, coconut, mango, papaya and rum, with a dash of waterlily, and the seaweed scent comes through as well. Great stuff! Ok to use from nose to toes.

I quoted this here even though it's from over five years ago since the description may still apply to the current version. Please feel free to edit if it's not the case!

@Potion Master, any chance you can make some virgin bottles of the Pink Lace? I would buy several if you can. ❤️

I would not be opposed to making more in future in Virgin tho, I love this variant myself.

I'm looking forward to this! It's my Juicy Fruit Chewing Gum perfume! 😆 I wrote last year that I'd be interested in a virgin version of Love Potion: Pink Lace and I'm glad it could happen in the future!

  12. I wore this again the other night and doused myself before going to bed. I took a break from fragrances last month since getting sick and I think my scent palate might have gotten reset or refreshed, so my sniffing ability seems magnified nowadays. I think I need to be more sparing with my application. I found the gardenia extra strong that I kind of regretted dousing myself. When I woke up though, I was left with that really nice sweet musk which lasted till the next day because I wore the same top. I think that's my favourite part of this scent.

  13. I was looking at the older threads for the wax melts and these scents are interesting:

    • Lemon Cake
    • Love Potion: Pink
    • Rose Cookies (Rose, Lavender (drop), Sandalwood, Cedar, Pine (drop), Caramel, Maple, Brown Sugar, Vanilla, Chocolate)

I'm looking forward to any cozy winter or spa-vibes ones too. I'm interested in most things that smell yummy anyway! I'm excited for these! 😊💜

  14. I finally received my Bath & Body goodies at the end of last year. The mailing system must have been so backed up. I was concerned something might have happened to one of the delivery people. It took almost a month to get to me!

I'm still going through the bath salt samples that were generously included in my order. Thank you so much for them! I'll write my reviews when I have time. I'm still behind in writing reviews for my previously ordered samples.

I will say though that so far, Mr. Onyx has given👍🏻👍🏻 for the bath salts that he tried. For myself, I started really benefitting from the Mermaid Soup Sugar Scrub! 🧜🏻‍♀️
