I'm still crossing my fingers for a drawn butter top note.

Oooh can't wait! These look so good! I was never a summer scent person before I found y'all, believe it or not
-
I'm a much better driver with Megawatt. I rely on Determination potion if I have to do a lot of driving.
-
Ohh I so regret now not grabbing a chewy spice when I had the chance. And looks like no extras for Etsy, either. *kicks stone*
-
Ohh so difficult!
I'd say trial vials of LP Original, OCCO White, scented Cougar. Definitely try a LAM too, whichever one you think would be most to your taste (from your other picks, sounds like that might be vanilla & honey!) And if you dig the floral fairy cakes and gourmands, Highland Fling is delectable IMO.
-
Yup I've tried TH and it works the best out of what I've tried so far. Struck out with h&s though and another lp-er said she had some luck with G2 for a similar circumstance so I thought, eh, couldn't hurt
-
I know that one is an interpretation of the other, but it looks like they're both still for sale right now. Is there one that would be a better pick than the other for winning over beastly women? Or can I expect the effects to be about the same? Was hoping someone who has tried them both might have an opinion

I do not have the nose to differentiate all the notes in this once, but it is really pretty and sheer. I adore Spider Silk and this reminds me of it, it has the same powdery-soft quality. I wouldn't say it smells just like it or anything, it just has that same "vibe" for me. Lovely and elegant, one of those all-occasion kinds of scents.

I finally got to try H&S in Flutterby, so thought I'd review the phero part here. I saved my sample for visiting my mother in my neverending bid to win her affection by any means necessary (that is meant to be tongue-in-cheek.)
First, I am 100% positive now that I need to avoid anything with est during shark week. The first time I wore H&S, I was in the latter half of it and I felt very sensitive and weepy, taking to heart the usual slights even though ordinarily I'm pretty well inured to them. I've had "iffy" experiences with other est-containing blends during "that time" before, but I'm sure of the effect now. It's like the Aunt Flo Amplifier for me.
Once I was off the dot, though, the heightened sensitivity went away. It had no noticeable effect at all on my interactions with Mom. What surprised me was that we went shopping and everyone we came across was falling all over themselves to be helpful and kind. Definitely not a side effect of encountering my mother, so I have to assume it was my pheros I got compliments, salespeople seeking me out to help me (might be normal for other people, never happens to me lol), other salespeople ignoring my purse in a store that normally insists on checking purses at the register (deplorable practice if you ask me, but what can ya do), a mountain of whipped cream on my frappucino and a cup holder for my other drink without having to ask for one (! IT'S A MEERACLE! ), extra butter on my soft pretzel gratis, etc. etc. Honestly this was the best result I've ever gotten from pheros while shopping, and that includes SS4W and LFM. One woman even claimed she mistook me for my mom's granddaughter (I'm still skeptical, but ok!)
TLDR; I'm still a disappointment to my mother, but everybody else can't get enough of the epic awesome that is me. TH definitely works better with my dysfunctional relationships, which jives with some of the earlier posts in this thread. Flutterby might end up edging out Sneaky Clean as my shopping LP though!

This was the only fairy cake I knew I couldn't wait to try. Cupcake scents are not usually my cuppa but I know better than to say never with Mara's creations I actually wasn't wild about it at first, I got a strong, almost slightly bitter blast of satsuma that startled me, but once that settled down, hoo boy...all the orangey sweet cakey goodness I expected. It does not hit that shrill level of sweetness that my brain hates, thank goodness, it just soft and sweet and just right.
So I put a little sugared black musk on my other arm, I could not wait to try it and hey they are both layerable scents, right? Now the sweet orange fairy is wearing a black corset I'm a little shocked at her scandalous behavior but somehow not that shocked, it totally works with those shoes
-
I just got a little bottle of this. I've never smelled black musk on its own before and this of course is a "sugared" version but omg, my eyes all but rolled up into the back of my head. This is just heavenly and manages to be "dirtier" on me than any other LP. Can't wait to layer it with some things and try it out with cops. I just have to try the red one in my next order!

Funny that I see this tonight, I was just thinking this afternoon about how awesome this scent is. I'm completely in love with it, and if anyone is dissatisfied with the aging process of their bottle, you know where to find me
I was initially surprised by how sheer it is. I don't normally think of resinous scents as being sheer, in fact I don't think I've ever had that experience before. But after the first hit of sweetness, it calms down into this sensual, velvety-soft veil of scent. THIS is what I wish my skin always smelled like!
Now I have to tell you a bit about my man...I love him, but he's all cupcakes and fruit by way of scent preferences (on me, obviously, haha). I do my best to accommodate him from time to time, but man, it's hard. I'm not a very foody/gourmand kind of gal. I have exceptions (thanks completely to Mara!)
Well I put on Decadent Diva and find myself being huffed, "oh you smell so good." I'm just :D because I also don't smell like baked goods or fruit salad! It also has a cops-like effect even though I do not wear it with cops. Not only from my beloved, but pretty little waitresses flirt with me ; )
-
I am going by memory, as I do not have them in front of me, but I have been wearing Highland Fling almost every day for a month so it's fresh in my mind.
Highland Fling is more complex and dense in my opinion. The Daffodil oils I used in Fairy Cake are a little greener and fresher so it's got a lighter feel, while HF is like intense syrup to my nose.
Does that help?
For me they are very different. Fairy cake Daffodil is soft and floral. Highland Fling is more green and stemmy and there is a strong buttercream presence that FC doesn't have.
Thank you both, that is very helpful.

Can anyone comment on the differences between this and Highland Fling? I have & love HF, wondering if I "need" to try this

Well, I have finally tried Aja all by itself. Though I have not spent any prolonged time outdoors while wearing it, I have not been swarmed by horny bees on my way to the car either, so I'm pleased to report my fears were unsupported by reality
Scent-wise, this one's kind of odd for me. Wet, it smells sweet but has a kind of acrid tinge that reminds me of sweat. Once it dries down and my skin chemistry does whatever it will do, it's a warm, almost musky honey scent. It's nice, but nothing I'd buy a full bottle of for the scent alone. I didn't bother covering it, didn't feel like it needed it, but I think it would make a good, low-key sweetness boost for other scents. It is indeed quite tenacious, it hasn't come off until I've washed it off with both of my test drives.
As far as the effects go, Aja doesn't give me the self-effects that cops do, but it does have cops-like effects in the bedroom. Take that as you will, that's about as blunt as I get on this subject!
Ultimately I still prefer unnature's copulins But Aja was a fun change of pace. Not a "need to have" for me but definitely worth playing with.

Is there an update when PEs are going to be back on the system to order? Being new here, I want to be able tor reserve others PEs when they come out, so can someone give the rookie newbie a lesson? Thanks!
I don't know about your first question, but as for the second, Mara will post the PEs in this same forum in a thread titled "Private Editions for (Month Name)" when they are ready, and you will be able to see how many bottles there are of each one and reserve what you want in the thread. If you check out some of the past Private Edition threads in here, you can see how it works.

THERE ARE?! Oh wow, I thought for sure I'd missed them! Off to looky

I got Orange Fairy Cake and Sugared Black Musk. I'd love to do a mix and match set of 10 fairy/sugared bottles, but alas, funds do not allow at the moment. I'll have to see how my birthday goes next week

I never would have tried this one, I am not a cupcake-y person (don't smack me! ), but for a trial spray I was sent by a generous LPer I fell in love with it, ripped through the trial size, and was delighted to see it still being sold on Etsy. It is just plain nommable, but wears sheer enough that I still find it wearable. It IS a light scent, but at least on me, it lingers for a long time. I'll stop smelling it for a while, then all of a sudden get a whiff of deliciousness out of nowhere. Nommable and summery. I also like to put a little spritz on my 2 year old after his bath, my little cupcake! I'm sorry the rest of the mists were "before my time," these are perfect for those of us who have to endure disgustingly humid summers.

No, that would be the Tooth Fairy collection, this is Fairy Garden

That moment when you realize April only has 30 days.

I'm not normally a cupcake-y kinda gal, but I'm swooning over these labels!!
And laughing my butt off over your sweet little lamby whammy

Welcome aboard!
I love the frenzied squirrel comparison, too funny!
