  1. I have some of this in a sample that I got from Hearts, it's ridiculous. Like ridiculously amazing. The sandalwood is just so smooth and perfect and genuine. I once had a whole lb. of rough sandalwood splinters that I hoarded, but eventually used as incense, that I acquired in the late 80's.This particular sandalwood brings me back to I'm-not-sure-exactly-where, but all the other notes just disappear for me.

I need some of this or I'll have to keep it in a secret lock box. Who's holding out?

  2. The archive is offline right now, but I know Jennifer is working on updating those review threads that are missing the actual notes, so eventually it will be included.

Thanks Luna! I like the science and detective work I get to do on here. You're always helpful, thank you for your endless knowledge.

  3. I want to love this one so badly. I love the pumpkin and the cocoa butter but something is too fresh for me. Its stabby in the third eye.

Halo, did that stabbiness go away? I have that problem with anything with leather in it. Like to the point where I want to wash it off, but then that parts gone in 15 minutes.

I am so in love with this scent. I did get my shipping notice (!) that it's on it's way, it's my first non-phero in a spray. I finished my little bit from my trial vial today, luckily my sweatshirt sleeves still smelled a bit when i couldn't smell it on my wrists anymore. It's the kind i need to keep huffing.

I don't know what's in 7 Minutes to Midnight, but I used it to chase the White Velvet Pumpkin. Does anyone know the notes for 7 minutes? It was released Oct 2009 I believe.

  4. I put on Enduring Appeal 3 hours ago, I'm now getting a lovely rose, a soft sweet floral(freesia or maybe lily?), and properly made tea. Very lovely. I'm a citrus gal and love anything grapefruit, but it's not showing up at the moment. So I'd say any citrus in here is complimentary and not competing or strong. I've been busy for past few hours so didn't really think about the scent after slathering until maybe 20 minutes ago. It's lovely. If I had a bottle, I'd want it in a spray, and I would reach for it fairly often. Sometimes I spritz my hair a touch, this would be lovely for that.

  5. This is so lovely on me. It's odd because it seems really light when I first put it on, and seems to get richer as the day goes on. A nice bonus is that my man and myself both love pineapple. And I have that odd ability to eat unlimited pineapple without it hurting my mouth. It's so yummy, this scent, I don't even think it would be possible to put too much on. But I'm going to try. That's my mission today, to see if I have an infinite capacity to wear this LP without it ever being too much. I'll report back. ❤️

7 hours later- still amazing. I generously reapplied mid-day, and no one is overwhelmed. Winning!

  6. Romantic licorice. Can't go wrong.

I think sometimes a scent blends so naturally with who I already am, I don't notice I'm wearing anything. This is one of those "I can't smell it/ I can't stop smelling it" blends. I am also sure it would mix well with a bunch of other LP's, I might put a drop of Lina's Fluffy Bunny over it later, or BB or Odalisque, depending on my intentions.

  7. I need to get my hands on some of this, I really like florals with grapefruit on them. Another one for the "wants" list!

    Edit: (Dec 27th)

Yup! It's beautiful! I just put it on with some UN Cougar. This little sample is definitely going into my "scents for Hawaii trip" bag. My man says I smell like mangos. (No mango in it, but grapefruit and apricot and passion fruit.) Tropical, but more me than Winter in the Tropics, for sure. I mean, I'd be stoked to be that Winter in the Tropics lady, but this is brighter and more spontaneous. That other lady is hella classy, all tropical flowers and wearing white. The girl in Halcyon Daze walks through mud and bamboo forests in her flip flops to climbs waterfalls and eats ripe fruit with her hands. Shes's very messy, but has the most fun on her itinerary-free vacations.

  8. I was just looking through my samples for something nice to cover UN Cougar. I'm going to be asleep several hours before my man comes home, so I needed to find something that says 'you really need to wake this woman up." I'm a hot sleeper, I can get sweaty and be too asleep to take off some covers, but this is clean and extremely feminine scent that would make a man want to get closer. Even if the woman in question was fast asleep and all sweaty. Butterfly Bloom and the word "gross" have never been in the same room at the same time.

  9. BF says this smells like "a really clean fresh showered after the gym smell. Not too fancy, like really expensive soap that doesn't smell like soap. It smells like 'good hygiene.'"

I like it, it's grown on both of us. I am not a fan of green man scents, but there's just enough amber and "man warmth smell" to keep me interested. I think it's sexy. If he worked in an office, I'd rather he didn't wear it to work, or he'd have a bunch of ladies lingering by his desk all day.

River and Rain, IMO, would be perfect for a nonchalantly sexually charged brunch date. No sex. Make her wait. The man wearing this holds ALL the cards.

I think it would be a good pairing with Charisma.

  10. Ok, I just listed 12 more bottles of Heart & Soul. I'm getting emails about it too. You all talked me into it.

Mara is clearly a good mama to all of us. And we are spoiled brats, the most obvious sign of a good loving mama!

I ordered my H&S a while ago, and TH around the same time. I'm sorry I can't remember exactly who said it on the forum, maybe Dolly (?), but they said TH was for "sorority sisters" and H&S was for closer friends. That's kind of how I use them, but I also think I do better with H&S. If/when I see my ex-MIL again I will be dripping in TH! When I'm seeing her daughter, that I love, I wear H&S. Instead of in-laws, we call each other "Sister Out Laws" instead of in-laws.

  11. Bright and yummy, smells like the juicy fruity cousin to last night's Winter in the Tropics. Winter in the Tropics was like a vacation in a bottle, Passionbee might be how if I were permanently on vacation somewhere magical FOREVER. Lingering flowers, apricots, grapefruit and ginger are what I smell two hours later. I checked and this scent is still available, it could be morning competition for Pallas when summertime rolls around. I like to smell cheery in the morning. And I love H & S. I'm going to get a full bottle and I want it in a spray. This is the kind of scent I'd want to spray above me and get all over me and my clothes.

  12. Thanks Halo. You are very kind. I'm not able to pick out individual notes very often, mostly just a few categories and degrees of like and dislike. But gardenia and plumeria are distinctive and easy. I am thinking more about identifying scents, but more so just noticing odors in general. This morning I kept getting an unpleasant whiff on something and realized it was my face cream! It does have a bad smell when it first goes on, but I've never noticed I later in the day. I think maybe I need to keep some Odalisque in between my boobs in case I never need to have a yummy chaser to a bad smell in my environment. Or on my face.

  13. Love it.

Gardenia has an intense feminity that I don't necessarily share, but I think it's a great clean and approachable social scent. It's a good scent for my current evening plans, sitting next to my man at the stage sound desk for a sit down show in a fancy night club in a wealthy town. (I sent him to work in Kingmaker, also setting appropriate.)

If I knew a very sophisticated young lady, maybe 18-24 years old, I would give it to her as a present. I'd like to think my daughter will smell like this when she starts dating someday, but I imagine she'll smell like Sour Skittles, Leather, metal shavings and motor oil.

Next time I make it to Maui, I'll drench myself in this gardenia and plumeria concoction after showering, put on a gorgeous dress and take my sunburned ass to a very expensive restaurant and eat macadamia encrusted mahi-mahi. Other couples in the restaurant will envy us because we clearly enjoy each others company more than they do. And later that night, we'll eat candied coconut that we bought on road to Hana naked in bed, and the gardenia and plumeria will have faded but there will still be ginger.

  14. Damn, Dolly. Any male who slaps his kid's mother is a lot of things, but "man" is not something I would call him. It's a bummer for your son, but he's clearly more of a man than his dad. Both of my parents are still children in so many ways, I surpassed them in maturity decades ago. Like your son, I decided to not have a relationship with my dad. A few years ago I reversed my decision for my kids sake, and then it turned out he was fundamentally the same person in 2014 he was in 1974. Even sometimes when people want to grow up, they just can't.

I had a boyfriend who hit me in high school. Made me such a stronger person down the road, it only had to happen with one guy for me to know it would never happen again. I love that you punched him in the chest and dropped him. Fucking awesome. No one gets it unless they've been there.
