  1. Oh good, I didn’t want to be too greedy!😂

I tried messaging you too and got the same message. Monoi Tiki Tahiti makes a really good product, if I’m allowed to say that here. I tried it first from eBay but then tried to find more authentic places to get it. I don’t know where to get my favorite sunscreen anymore, I got it from a little swim shop and can’t find it anywhere online.

    July Girl's Rhapsodic Exotic

A hypnotic array of deep, exotic amber and musk attars, swirled with dark and caramelized sugars, with a sprinkling of cardamom on top.

I need someone else to review this, who is a little better with their words than me, because all I can say about this is that I love it! It’s not quite as dark as I was expecting but it is, I’ll say shady😎, and definitely exotic! To me it’s sweet gourmand and just delicious! Not a typical gourmand, it’s got something else that I’m addicted to sniffing and trying to figure out. It sort of reminds me of Midnight Cravings, if anyone is familiar with that, but the dry down is smoother. It’s giving “what smells so good?!? Oh! It’s me!” Not in your face at all like some of the darker scents can do on me, it’s soft and delicious and mysterious. It’s a win!

    SirenSong's Blackberry Smoke

Name by SirenSong, Label Image by AI
A purple haze of sweet and smokey berried inscense - blackberries and mulberry over dragon's blood, sandalwood, nag champa and sugar sweetened smokey woods.

So on me, this starts off with slightly tart blackberries, that’s about all I can discern, and it’s lovely. After a few minutes though the fruitiness completely disappears and it’s all just campfire smoke. I gave it to my mom though and on her this is just like the way Siren Song described her hope for how it would smell! It’s fruity and smooth and incense smokey and I think I can detect the nag champa also. It’s beautiful and even though she’s been washing her hands and using lotions I can still smell it when I walk close to her. So this didn’t work with *my* chemistry but it is an absolutely beautiful scent on my mom! I’m so glad I grabbed a bottle!🥰

  4. @Onyx It’s so funny that you mentioned the salty taste because I’ve noticed it too and just thought it was my new breath mints or something 😂

@Potion Master The seaweed itself doesn’t smell salty to me but it definitely has that slimy ocean plant smell. Now that I’ve smelled it in the vial I think I can actually detect it a little. I will play with it and see what it does to the overall fragrance but I think it’s pretty darn perfect as is, I just love it! I can’t thank you enough 🙏🏼

  5. I am obsessed with this. OBSESSED!! It is soft and a close to the skin scent but it lasts forever! I still smell it into the next afternoon which makes me feel like “this is just me” (this is just what my body does bro☺️

The gardenia is perfect, it just floats in the background and doesn’t overpower anything like gardenia has a tendency to do. It’s soft enough to know it’s there without really being THERE, you know? It really does smell like my favorite sunscreen.
I don’t know how to describe the vanilla…it’s not foody and it’s not dry…it’s just wonderful, that’s all I can say about it.

I’m not really getting a saltiness but it doesn’t take away from anything I had in my mind and I’m not missing it or wishing it was there. It’s just so so good, better than I was even hoping for!

The musk is a very soft and lingering smell that melds with everything else and doesn’t make it dirty or powdery or soapy like some musk does on me. This is probably what I get the ‘skin scent’ feel from though. It’s perfect.

Mara sent me a little vial of her hand tinctured seaweed so maybe I can play around with a little dab under a roll of the fragrance and see what develops.
@Potion Master I love this so so much! I got it 3 days ago and after putting it on right away, I’ve been wearing it every day since! I tried it first kind of high up on my inner elbow and behind my hair in case my cat didn’t like it but he keeps licking the part of my arm that it’s on so I think he’s ok with it! Thank you oh so much!🥰🥰

  6. Ooh that’s a perfect visual! I’m so glad it lasted a long time. Here’s what I emailed Mara…

    Here’s what I’m thinking…

    Dry vanilla

    Musk

    Gardenia

    Sea salt/your hand tinctured seaweed

I’m hoping for something to remind me of a beach day at Clearwater beach. Slightly salty, soft sweet skin musk with a dry vanilla and just a drop of gardenia. My sunscreen is unscented but it is made with monoi de tahiti oil so it has a very slight undertone of monoi, which I think is gardenia, but it’s not overpowering or strong at all. I would love this to linger. I met my soul at the beach that day so I was thinking of a play on the word soul for the name.

Still waiting on the mail today (not patiently at all!!)

  7. Oh my gosh, I am so excited!! I love the comforting memory it brings back to you! For me it’s a Florida beach but but I love that you have your own comforting flashback.
I wasn’t sure about the “oily vanilla” description but I was trying for a sunscreen feel without it being the usual coconut sunscreens we’re all familiar with so maybe that’s what that involves. Thank you for your thoughts!🥰

@SirenSong I had already ordered a bottle of your blackberry smoke, but your description has me even more excited to try it!

Ooh me too! I don’t usually like incensey scents, they burn my nose and give me a sinus headache feeling, but yours sounded so lovely I just had to try it! I don’t have too many fruity scents but something about yours I kept coming back too.

  9. @dolphindolls2 I love your Orchid Tropique scent memory. My PE is meant to invoke that Florida feeling too! It really is such a magical place isn’t it?!?! Clearwater beach/Tarpon Springs. I tend to hermit and get depressive in what seems like never ending snow here in the winter. My soul has always lived in the sand and sun and being in the ocean brought me a peace I never fully realized I was missing here in my snowy mountain town.🩵🌊

  10. @dolphindolls2 I love that! I hope you love it, I hope I love it😂

Mara said she has some hand tinctured seaweed so I’m excited for the saltiness with the softer sweetness. My favorite sunscreens are unscented but they just have that sunscreen smell you know, maybe it’s the zinc, idk I can’t ever really explain it to people but it makes me so happy to smell. My current favorite is an unscented one but it is made with monoi de tahiti oil so it has a very slight undertone of gardenia, very slight, it’s still basically unscented. So I just asked for that instead of trying to describe a zinc-y sunscreen smell 😂I had applied some vanilla earlier in the morning and at the end of the day I could still smell it a bit and it was just sweet salty warm skin. I honestly didn’t know I could be as happy or peaceful as I was that day at the beach so that’s the memory I was going for. I like to say that I met my soul that day and I’ve been trying to find it the same way again here at home in Colorado where we don’t have beaches. Maybe I left part of it in the ocean and we will be beautifully reunited when I finally make it back.☺️

Is Clearwater Beach in Florida? So maybe, the sweeter musk and a drop of ozone, a dry vanilla, with some coconut creme or coconut water, and hibiscus as that's a flower that grows there near the shore? Suntan lotions usually have notes of cocoa butter or coconut oil. I think I might have a really oily smelling coconut. Ooh, a drop of my hand-tinctured seaweed too!

Yes, in Florida! That all sounds amazing without the coconut or cocoa butter, I love the unscented sunscreens that just have that sunscreen smell, I can’t describe it but I love it, but we could leave that sunscreen part out. I’ll make an order and send my email! Thank you so much!

What are you going for, that you want to layer musks? I often layer them anyway, all ingredients, to achieve a rounder and softer feel.

Egyptian musk always turns very soapy on my skin. I was thinking of my skin after I’d spent a magical day at Clearwater beach, warm skin with a little bit of my vanilla perfume left over from the morning and a slightly salty and sunscreeny smell. I think about that day all the time and how happy I was to be in the ocean and sunshine and would love to experience that again at home in Colorado! I was thinking musk because they tend to linger the longest on my skin, sweet soft skin sounds lovely. I’ve been waiting and hoping pe’s would be available again I just don’t know which scents go with what I’m imagining.😂
