  1. Rosebud, I think you're becoming 'scent blind' to vanilla. You've mentioned not smelling vanilla dominant scents several times now. You've worn so much of it for so long, I think you are no longer smelling it. Overexposure doesn't make you smell it better, it makes it invisible. This one has pounds of vanilla in it, very rich vanillas. Maybe you should try switching out the kind of perfumes you are wearing for a break?

I think this is happening to me. I guess it is time to break out some of my lesser used scents.

  2. This was one of the very first scents I tried here -- in my first order I think. My sense of smell was so different then. I remember trading this one off because it was too...just too much. It smelled heavy and overwhelming. Somehow though, i think that I would like this if I could try it again.

I did purchase a bottle of intellectual woman also in my first order. It was my very first LP unscented phero. I think it was very congruent with me, and I was sad when I used it all up.

  3. I told my husband to keep his mitts off my bar of Une soap. I tried to make it sound not like I was being greedy (ha!), but that I was looking out for his manliness, because it s a girlie fragrance. But yesterday I noticed he smelled like Une! And it actually seemed to work as a man's fragrance, too.

  4. Well anything you depend on to this extent is dangerous...because of course it can be lost. Can you imagine that we wake up one morning and LPMP has completely disintegrated? Now THAT is the scariest thought ever.

I have had that nightmare before. In which Mara (fill in the blank with any probable or inprobable scenario): retires early, quits to go on a worldwide musical tour, goes back to school to study philosophy or dental hygiene, wins the lottery and never has to work again...etc. etc.

There would be a final, desperate sale. I would take out a small second mortgage on my house in a pathetic attempt to buy LPMPs to last the rest of my life. But I'd be fighting and racing everyone else trying to do the same. Black market LP trading forums would spring up elsewhere on the internet, where the most desireable scents would start trading for exhorbitant prices, forcing all the but the richest among us out of the market. Some of us would go crying to other artisan perfumiers, asking for something similar to our favorites, but of course no one else would ever approach Mara's wonderfulness, so we'd just slink away with our shallow, empty knockoffs, metering out our precious original stocks in the tiniest of amounts. Gone would be the slathering. A one inch roll used once per month would be considered a lavish amount of our preciouses.

Okay I need a xanax now.

  5. Pheromone-enhanced scents from the past which can be rebrewed...that's all I'm sayin.' :P

Okay, trying to figure out the modifiers here. Do you mean that specifically scents that were originally in the past released as pheromone-enhanced might be re-released (still as pheromone-enhanced). Or might this mean that a scent from the past (that was not phero-enhanced) might be re-released but with pheros?

  6. Hi JMartin:

If you want it in the form of a roll-on oil, click here and its the first thing: http://lovepotionper...one_Blends.html

Use the pulldown menus to pick the phero blend and also to choose whether you want to boost a regular scent or an enhanced scent, then fill in the blank with the name of the scent you want boosted. Don't add the scent to your shopping cart, just this item.

IF you want a spray, you need to go here: http://www.lovepotio...ta_Testing.html

THis is a little more complicated because you add the spray scent to your cart AND the pheromone add on. Also, you can choose alcohol base or alcohol/oil blends.

  7. Compared to LP Pink (another one of my favs), Midnight Masquerade is lighter, sparklier, crisper, cleaner, whereas I'd describe LP pink as heavier, creamier, and more complex.

Definitely gonna need a full bottle, and making a spray w/ cougar sounds like an amazing idea!

  8. Okay, it's thoroughly dried down and melded now. On me, it's a soft, sparkly pink sugar scent, with the cherry and pumpkin both blending and becoming part of the "pink". There is no cherry cough syrup flavor at all, which I usually get with cherry accords.

I really think this is going to be my favorite October release, and one I will be needing a full bottle of!
