Nope I can't stand Cougar either! For me it is the combo of the grapefruit with the type of musk. It drives me crazy in a bad way.

Yup. You are so right Halo. I kept getting residual CP "whiff" for 4-5 hours today and I'd be like "What IS that?!?" Very cheap perfumey on me by itself. Not bad on a straight sniff from the bottle tho. Funny cuz I actually can like grapefruit and (most) musks alone. I do get the *sparkly* connotation though... it kinda fizzes my nose (not in a good way tho).

scented cougar + OCCO red is one of my all time fav combos! Also try it with pink. Both of those occcos do change the scented cougar scent quite a lot - so maybe it will tamp down whatever is bugging you in scented cougar.

I have a sample of OCCO pink so I may try to layer that and see what happens... but glad to know about the OCCO red too (the descrip of it says "fans of our LP Red will love OCCO red", etc.) so it sounds like a safe bet.

I LAYER SCENTED COUGAR WITH HOT AND STICKY TOO....GREAT COMBO!

Dolly's Hot and Sticky is SO... otherwise I'd try it! Not surprised cuz from the descrip I doubt that one lasted long.

I did get a FB of Ambrosial Summer off the AF site and I really like it - very fruity/summery and maybe I could make it *sticky* too by layering it with CP!

I do have a technical question about "layering"... how exactly do you DO that? Would it be swiping the CP on the torso/wrists thing, letting it dry, then swiping another scent over it (or vice versa) Just wondering the best way to go about it.

Yes, I am looking forward to your reports. I am one of the ONLY people in the world for whom the scented Cougar doesn't work on. But I get to enjoy the phero in one of my favorite scents, Pizzazz!

 

WARNING: if a scent doesn't work on you wait a bit and try it again at least a couple of months later...maybe even a year later! Your tastes will change dramatically throughout this journey and you will fall in love with a scent that did nothing for you the first time you tried it. Also don't judge too much by descriptions and notes! Some that sounded like they would never work on me became favorites.

In fact...it's probably time for me to try Cougar again...just in case!!

You may not be alone missdarlyncherie... the scented CP really kinda bothers me. Gets a little syntheticky/snarky on my skin. I've only had it about a week, mind you (3 different tries so far) but I tried again this morning and it just bugs me...I don't know why. So disappointed after all the wonderful things others have said about it! I was ready to get my **sparkly** on! Unfortunately, I ordered fullsize RB because I just "knew" this would be awesome for me. I thought maybe I should try converting it to a spray with Mara's DIY kit on Artfire...

I will NOT panic though and rush to trade forums... learned my lesson with Sex& Violins so I'm hoping CP does a 180 on me. Since I'm still in the 'learning phase' here at LP I wish I could put my finger on what exactly in CP is doing a number on my nose (what 'none, etc.) so I can watch it in others I try.

Thinking about trying to pair it with OCCO: Red Shield (since I love LP Red so much) Maybe that will help (?)

Looking for more advice... Spray or RB on this one???? From breezing through these it seems like many of ya'll (yes I'm in Texas) used spray. OK well, then 90/10, 60/40 whaaat... I really need the EFX of this phero blend in my house of testosterone so it's important that I get it right. TY in advance for any help!

I think I will get a bottle boosted with Cops. Sounds like enough vanilla to handle it.

I'm starting off with a L/H vibe on this one... I snatched it up because it was on ArtFire and I'd read so many good comments on it! BUT... I've tried it twice now and both times I get a real dull headache going and the scent is very synthetic & plasticky (is that a word?) on me. I started out the same with Sex & Violins (love/hate) but since learned that less = more (and while I don't L O V E it every time, I won't part with it either!) So... what might I be doing wrong here?

Cinnamonmel you are quite amazing to say the least... what you did to get Rio here and now what you're enduring. But (amazing being the operative word here)... I have no doubt you will get through this better than a lot of us would (myself included!) Neither of my boys slept thru the night til after 20 months! It was extremely hard but I had help too! Beautiful baby and I'm very glad I came "late" to the party rather than to miss it all! Do hang in there - it always gets better.

I love it now but find I do need to slather a bit to get tbe complete experience.

My skin GOBBLED IT UP within 5 minutes, like a ravenous fox with a plump, juicy chicken! How is this possible? I don't have very thirsty skin, and this is a robust type of scent, with lots of strength and depth to it. I know lotions can help, but it disappeared into nothing more than a ghost-like smoky whisper of dough on my arm.

When I read the description of this, I immediately thought to get the f/s in RB because of the richness... and if the skin is sucking it up (or turns it 'wonky') wouldn't a silicone base help that? But when I looked, it's not offered in that option... I'm dying to try it though!

Oh but you ARE the lady of the manor Mel! Forgive me for being late to the party, but do you have a new baby?! I only see snippets of things in posts & I'm trying to figure out the rest of the story. Although a new baby can keep you from feeling anything but exhausted, and a mere shadow of your former self, thankfully no matter how rough things are (we) moms eventually find grace in just being the center of that little ones universe. So, if you are, can you catch me up on all the details?

Forget that... I just read a post that sounds like you are in the exhaustion throngs of new motherhood. Don't waste any precious energy on getting me up to speed... there'll be time for that later. Take care.

You're welcome...I am always tempted to boost things but now I find it's smarter for me to get them plain and get UN. I just go through so many scent phases that I can't garauntee that I will be in the mood for the scent when I want to wear the phero!!

I really like my scents in oil and my pheros in spray 60/40. The exception to this is my Dolly's Hot and Sticky I got that in a spray boosted with Topper and that's the best thing ever. But generally that's my rule. (I only really get stinky pheros like Sexpionage in the enhanced fragrances like Comp P.)

Sorry this is way off topic....I am so tired I'm just rambling.

Not at all MDC! Ramble, please. It really does help me to read the opinions and experiences from all the long-term members here. Now if I can just find an easy way to organize all the great advice and notes into a reference guide I can flip through when I'm compiling my next order (instead of relying on my memory to go back and find the "posts" that I need to refer to) If I ever figure it out and get it put together I'm going to label it LP4D (Love Potions for Dummies).

Sometimes I have a weird sense of humor (something I love to see on these forums, too) and since I haven't been here that long I just wanted to make sure no one thought I was actually serious! I swear if he had gotten the least bit "huggy/Mommy" with me (which wasn't unusual up until about 15 - when he was obviously ready to untie those apron strings - but would have been completely out of character for him now) I would have probably freaked out and showered immediately.

And very best of luck on bringing out the Bayou Man in your husband, Makes me think of the (sold-out) LP, Creole Man.
