  1. Has anyone ever covertly used any unscented Pheros for men on your partner or hubs? All this focus and research on trying to find something I can wear, that will make him hot for me... Could I get something to "innocently" (yes, I said that) season his aura that might RELEASE THE KRAKEN for me :smiley-love039: ???

He's a RL Original Polo (Green) Dude and rarely strays from that... which isn't all bad because I love smelling it just to think of him. Married 20 years, 2 kids, FINALLY heading into perimenopause at 55 (and not having to have birth control always in the back of my mind), my objective and obsession is to start stoking those fires a bit... and perhaps trying to be less inhibited myself as a 'mature' female. Oh, I THINK about it a LOT... it's just freeing the lusty temptress (who grew up with her share of Catholic guilt!) is more of a fantasy than a reality right now. And I know what will probably come out of this post is a recommendation for something that will lessen MY inhibition (that advice is welcome as well), but is there anything that might drive ME crazy if I manage to get some on HIM? The thought of using myself as part of my "research" is kind of thrilling, actually. But, I don't want to let my subject (my husband) in on all this "research"... I don't want anything skewing the data.

If you want to chastise me for even thinking of covert opps on my man I will understand, but isn't that what the very definition of what a love potion is? Thanks in advance for any and all sage advice! :purr:

  2.

I am nearly 59, have been married for nearly 32 yrs. Husband and I love music and go out dancing a lot and are very comfortable in our own skins and with each other, but I do notice that people are just more "on" being talkative, polite and attentive when I wear CP. So, I'll be ordering full bottles soon of CP and SC...oh, and I suppose some CB for my son's gf and a SC for my dear friend who went nutz when she tried my samples. This really IS fun.

Welcome OBW... I'm a newbie too. You're right - this is fun. I loved reading your report on the samples. The seasoned members were awesome on recommending scents for particular objectives, and as a matter of fact I just ordered a full-size CP for myself last night along with some other samples of recommended scents. It's my 3rd order in barely 2 weeks so it's fast becoming my weakness... but I'll go down with a smile and smellin' great!

Based on your "research" I'd say CP was a wise choice for myself... trying to recharge my mojo with my hubs of 20 years ;) I have 15 and 18 year old sons and I must say you are brave to let the girlfriend have the CuddleBunny!

  3. Can someone tell me how to get the gray box in a post that shows the other persons post that you are responding to? I'd ask my tech savvy 15 year old son but he'd have too many questions as to what mom was doing on this site. ;)

  4. Great advice... honestly, when I got my first 2 (Love Potion: Red w/ Cops + Sex & Violins) I loved one, hated the other (but was willing to try!) Once I got past the initial stank OD from S & V, a couple of days later I tried it again (it was my most expensive purchase and I hate wasting $$!) - just a tiny smidge of oil on my torso between my bellybutton and cleavage... and it wasn't too bad! So for me, less is more in the case of S & V, and it's been fun trying to figure out if that pungent note was animaly musk, gunpowder or woods - thanks to incredible input from members. The Crayons set should arrive within a week or so, then followed by last night's order of Cougar & 3 Phero trial fragrances. So... I'll be busy and so will my partner... hopefully. ;)

  5. It makes me feel honored to recognize the names of you elite forum members who took time to help little ol' me - a confused newcomer - navigate through scentatopia and make informed buying decisions! All within 48 hours!!! Ya'll are Rock Stars. :12_small7: I'll aspire to be like you someday!

  6. Thanks Donsie for the follow-up post for me! Yes, that S&V breakthrough scent may indeed be wood (Rose Blackthorn pointed that out and thought it could be that or the Gunpowder) Musks have never irritated me in the past, so thinking through it... it may be the wood (maybe that's the violins innuendo?) I suck at identifying scents! I never can smell all the 'bouquets' that wine connoisseurs elude to in their descrips... (i.e. "notes of chocolate and nutmeg with hints of ripe blackberry...") :drunk: but I guess that's why we have experts in that arena (as well as Mara & John in this one) so we "consumers" can just sit back and enjoy!

I mistakenly did my forum "hello" on this, rather than starting my own thread, only because I saw the RedandFlaming's heading ("Hi, I am brand new to this") and I immediately related ;) That being said, I'm GLAD I did because that's how I stumbled upon your post with all the helpful links. I know with a lot of clicking and searching one can eventually get there, but I think it would help new customers/members if there were an actual link from the main menu that takes novices directly to a section that includes everything you pointed out and maybe a FAQ addition. That would help cut down on all the redundant posts from newbies (like me) who just feel lost and not sure where to get help so we start up a new post (or hitchhike on someone elses as I did!)

Last night I ordered Cougar Potion and four other samples that were recommended. S&V is growing on me, but I have to apply very little, just above my belly button in order to not feel overcome by that pungent-whatever-it-is note. I'm glad to hear that some of the members are fine with wearing pheros a lot. After reading the thread on Phero/CoP ODing I thought I was "doing it wrong",but I guess it really depends on the individual.

I bought LP: Red and added CoPs to it, but I just smell the 'yummy' factor, nothing more. My husband likes the smell too (I didn't tell hiim about the CoPs - part of my experiment to see if I get any response other than "that's a nice scent"...) BUT neither S&V or LP: Red seemed to stoke his fires a little - which is what I was after. Guess I need to keep searching for that one trigger for him.... a daunting task but at least I smell good the whole time ;)

But I will say I was shocked when a total stranger approached me at a school PTA meeting in the school's anything-but-sexy gym... and started talking to me about nothing. :019-[Drooling]-[EmoticonKing.co His wife (and my husband) were kind of weirded out by the whole thing (and of course I couldn't admit to my "experiment", LOL) He either really got in trouble when he got home - or his wife definitely got some post-PTA action. ^_^

Thanks for your great insightful posts!

  7. Yes... I ordered the Crayons set on Sunday & tonight I'm getting samplers for La Sylphide/La Femme Mystere, Compromising Positions/Sexpionage & the OCCO: pink (which I think you recommended Eggers as an add on to Cougar if needed!) I'm getting the Cougar Potion too but in a full size oil/roller... It sounded so yummy I'm sure I will like it! Members Rose Blackthorn, missdarlyncherie, Nutrix, Molls and you of course Eggers were so great & quick to help. What an incredible group to find and a bonus to stumbling upon LPMP...but I usually say there ARE no accidents!

I'll have lots of scents to keep me busy now (& I need to replenish the ol Paypal, LOL.) so now I can spend time reading more of the forums! Thanks again

  8. This will be my 3rd order in 2weeks,LOL. I feel like I need to be here every night reading...like I'm cramming for a "test".LOL

I guess you really shouldn't throw this stuff around lightly... Last night at a PTA meeting I had this guy totally seek me out to talk to me - his wife was noticeably uneasy as was my husband. I don't even think the guy realized how weird it seemed. Kind of funny but sure made me a believer. You gotta be responsible & know what's in your arsenal & when to wear it/NOT wear it!

  9. Rose B I bet you are right! I've been fine with musky scents in the past but perhaps I'm blaming the wrong scent note! Like Molls said S&V is strong scent so maybe that's a lesson learned in my early days at LPMP. Trial & error probably happens to all newbies, but I would not change a thing having been lucky enough to find this site & all the perks (scents, info & kindred spirits in the forum).

"Thank you Lovestruck! Indeed those babies did grow. That was back in maybe 94 or 95 and sadly, they are no longer with us. They were sweeties though for sure. Both of them were deaf being pure white short haired, that often happens, but they were awesome. Many years and many kitties later, still loving and remembering every single one of them. My heart is covered with paw prints. :) "

How bittersweet Rose B! Made me cry. Me too... I wish those feline familiars could hang around longer, but they seem determined to blow through those 9 lives in 10-15 years or less :( I had 2 Russian Blues that were litter mates and gave me 17 years which I will be forever grateful for. Then 3 more found me, but just 1 remains. Yes, they all leave their mark on our hearts. Now I have 2 big, white longhair (golden) retrievers too. But I love that profile pic of yours... It is timeless. What were their names? I know they had a gift to share with you while they were here!

  10. OK. I've added a sample of OCCO: Pink to my cart! :) I started to get a bit of a headache yesterday, and I thought perhaps it was the Sex/Violins (and that pungent scent of Animal musks I guess) that was too much for me, but maybe I just need to give everything a rest!

  11. Thanks Molls & Eggers. I suppose I should do more reading before asking dumb questions, but the posts to choose from are about as varied as the perfumes~ I've just been reading the posts about Phero OD/Phero bombing... I have LP Red with Cops, and Sex & Violins/Dominance, both of which I've been alternating, and I was ready to order Stone Cougar (full size because it sounds awesome) and samples of La Sylphide (w/La Femme Mystere) and Compromising Postions (w/ Sexpionage). So maybe I need to cool it on the pheros everyday?? I'm getting everything in the oil/roller, BTW. I guess I'm like a kid in a candy store but maybe I'm going to go in to diabetic shock if I'm not careful. Any suggestions appreciated as always!

  12. At the risk of sounding terribly redundant - does La Femme Mystere need a cover scent too? For that matter - do all Pheros need one or do some mix with body chem to establish a base? I need to do a refresher course on Pheros I guess. Thank you Molls :) My job interviews and networking has and will continue to increase, so I'm definitely interested in La Femme Mystere as that seems to be the majority recommendation for finding my feminine and workplace power mojo again.

  13. NuTrix you are my go to... I love all the advice and time you put into your posts. Thanks a mil (I feel a bit less intimidated now that I'm getting opinions from you all and reading more and more and more) There's a lot here!

Thanx too Rose Blackthorn. Love those precious feline "familiars" in your profile pic.. But I bet they are a bit bigger now, right? ;) just like kids, they aren't babies long enough.

I guess I should wait for the Crayon sampler to get here before I jump in with both feet (and credit cards) on a scent mission. I do think Sexpionage & Cougar are worth the risk to try based on what you all have offered. Can't thank u enough.

  14. Hi and thank you to everyone (ravenwing, NuTrix and missdarlyncherie!) for trying to guide me on this wonderful and confusing adventure in LPMP! And I apologize if I posted in the wrong place... I'm a novice on the forum stuff too!

Sex & Violins has the addition of DOMINANCE (not sure if that's a phero blend or what) And the ingredients listed are: AMBER ~ ANIMALIC & EXOTIC DARK MUSKS ~PATCHOULI ~WOODS~HONEY~

    CASSIS ~GUNPOWDER?

So all of you were probably spot on with the "musk" guess on whatever that is that just doesn't do it for me (but that's not my objective anyway - can't have your cake and eat it too I guess!) I have no clue how the DOMINANCE factor affects the scent... but it is a SOLD OUT edition so I guess I shouldn't complain!

I have to leave and volley between my two son's TWO different baseball games (part of my testosterone existence), so I can't really dig in to your recommendations until tonight, but THANK YOU so very much. Feel free to suggest anything or add to this (I'd love to understand the DOMINANCE addition better if anyone can clear up that one for me). I have to rely on you all at this green stage I'm in with LPMP.

Nutrix thank you very much for the time and info you put into your reply... I've found that I can't wear commercial perfumes anymore either. I was always picky - they all are over the top in my opinion. Maybe I just prefer more a more natural approach to the whole scent-thing. New West was probably my only favorite in the commercial lines, and that was because they had a whole line of subtle spa-like lotions and such that I usually wore - that weren't nearly as over bearing as the perfume itself. It was also very fresh and green... not overpowering (can't say that about anything I've smelled since, until I stumbled upon the LPMP line). I'm confident I'll find a new signature scent and fav, especially with help from experts like you. Thanks and blessings.♥ LS55

  15. OH and I failed to mention how donsie's post with links was SO helpful (although I still am lost as to how to narrow down my choices vs. objectives!) Thank you for that post... a HUGE timesaver (in searching) for a LPMP newbie like me.

  16. My apologies for this initial long post!

I ordered LP Red w/added Copulins and Sex & Violins... I absolutely love the LPRed, but the Sex/Violins has a definite “stink” factor to it and I was wondering what exactly that is (to avoid it in the future). Perhaps men find it appealing, maybe it’s the Pheros, or Dominance added in (?). Not sure, but it’s almost a turn off for ME... unless I know men are unusually affected by it!

I love the LP site and my head is spinning from the choices... I am 55, just now heading into perimenopause (late, I know). Married 20 years to a man 7 years younger; raising 15 & 18 year old boys (yes, I live in a testosterone wonderland).

I am a passionate Leo, my husband a Scorpio... like most married couples, we’ve had our share of peaks and valleys, passion and deep freezes. We are starting to rekindle the passion that brought us together, but at 48 my formerly over-sexed Scorpio is experiencing the usual equipment malfunctions that can occur mid-life. (TMI, I’m sorry! I hope I’m not breaking the forum rules!) Now you know the initial reasons for my immediate order of LP Red and S&V! I want desperately to place another order for more of the products, but I am really confused as what to get.

First of all, I wanted to find out why the S&V has that distinctive, pungent smell that I’m not crazy about. Secondly, I wanted to know – frankly – if there is a scent and/or phero/Copulin combo that is known to drive men crazy with desire – anything close??? I’m doing everything I can on my end to enhance things... but honestly I’d love to know I had a clandestine, ‘'scent” secret weapon in my arsenal.

When I met my husband I wore a scent almost exclusively – that used to make him well, you know... it was called New West (manufactured by Aramis in the mid 1990s) It was a clean, citrus-y smell with notes of something a little spicy and provocative. Of course, it is no longer manufactured, and I’ve yet to find anything even close but I’m hopeful forum members can lead me to something I’ll love just as much. As I said, I love LP Red, but the New West fragrance would be completely different. It was described a couple of ways by Aramis: “New West for her Is a floral green launched in 1990. Its notes are plum, violet, peach, bergamot and watermelon; middle notes are cyclamen, carnation, lily, mint, galbanum, jasmine. This scent pioneered the marine scent. Introduced in 1990. Fragrance notes: citrus and water floral in a feminine, refreshing scent. “Ozonic & aquatic”.

Not quite sure how “Ozonic” would actually smell tho ;)

Finally, on the other extreme... (I LOVE that there are scents designed to evoke a multitude of responses in varied situations!) I am choosing to head back in to the workforce – looking for a job in marketing /advertising (I left a very successful career 13 years ago to raise my boys!) and I wanted some direction on a scent that would enhance my job interview process (with both men and women) and/or confidence... if there is such a scent!

There isn’t a fragrance on the LP site that doesn’t sound absolutely wonderful... I’m just trying to get some advice to steer me in the right direction. The way I see it, I’m definitely in the market for at least 3 more scents for different objectives: 1) recharging a (former incredible) sex life with my partner 2) a “signature” scent that is fresh yet intriguingly sexy; and 3) a scent to recharge my career and find my personal feminine confidence and power again after rolling double nickels (55)!

I hope someone can help – or guide me in the right direction. I love reading expert reviews from long time LP aficionados! I did break down and order the March Crayons collection today. Everything sounds so incredible. I will easily go broke unless I get some genuine advice from LPMP forum members! Thank you so much ♥ LS55
