  1. Hello tink, Lovely to meet you !! Yay, your first review, how exciting, and you did an excellent job. And this is my favorite Halloween scent of the month for sure !!!!
  2. Love stories like this. The nols are amazing for me, hence my nickname here
  3. It's rare that my family comments on my scents anymore, but this got a compliment from both hubby and daughter, 10 hours after I applied it. Felt wrapped in warmth and comfort all day. One of those scents that I loved wet out of the bottle and until the very last whiff of it disappeared.
  4. I'm thinking now, 5 hours after application, that this would go great with Aja.
  5. phergineer, Has happened to all of us. I will still carry lens cleaner pads with me if I'm working with a new LP so I can quickly remove it in case I overdosed or suddenly in the wrong situation. Mara also makes a soap that I do believe helps get rid of pheros. I have a bottle of the Beaver, I do half spritzes on my wrists and chest, so 3 half spritzes which would be pretty much half of what you did I love it at work and for meditation. I get an 'everything is ok' sort of vibe with it, and so do the others around me. Don't give up on this one.
  6. Bought this off Artfire, already loved it wet in the bottle....adore it dry. It's different enough to warrant a full bottle. I have been collecting resin/incense smells for a while now, this is lovely, dark but positive. The honey makes it a tiny bit foodie. Very balanced, very lovely, totally wearable for a night out. A bit too heavy for morning for me, though.
  7. Whereas I love Totem: Tiger lots and lots, this is a no-go for me. I never did pick out any particular note, my nose just kept yelling "guy scent" and I stopped enjoying huffing my wrist. I have been very adventurous with my recent purchases, even snagging the last bottle of Naughty Nurse, and enjoying "Nights at the Round Table" with fennel and saffron. But this is just way beyond unisex for me. I think that's great, and I do hope there are men who will love this for the unique ingredients.
  8. On days when I need the flexibility to quickly remove pheros, I use a scent locket. I cut up a quilted cotton round (the kind for removing nail polish) into 8 pieces like a pizza, and then gently move the roller ball around it until it is drenched, that takes about a drop of oil. The locket gets plenty warm from my body heat (it's metal) as I know from wearing scented pheros. I got mine from Michael's (the framing and arts store). It's difficult to overdose with this method, because the sliver of cotton wouldn't really absorb much more than a drop of oil before it started dripping out of my locket. I have also held it to the nozzle of a spray and drenched it that way. I work with the public and so I do like the flexibility of this method. I can also 'touch up' easily towards evening or throw out the cotton and start with something new. I don't have to worry about how long the pheros are lasting on my skin, or whether they are being interfered with by my body chemistry. This still isn't very precise, but maybe something for you to consider when trying out a new blend and being worried about being able to completely remove it if it doesn't agree with you.
  9. Ah this is rotten of me but...I'm REALLY hoping for a Hocus Pocus Focus potion. Already said that a few weeks back sorry Focus burnout in my household seems to set in after Christmas.
  10. girlfriday: hey again Just wanted to remark I don't find the scent mild at ALL, but then I have not tried the UN version, just the LP Rouge with LFM. I'd have to say it lasts on my clothes for weeks. To the point that I once applied maybe a one inch swipe to a teddybear and I can still smell it...2 months on. My car may smell like Espirituel, but my closet smells like LP Rouge, especially my poncho, jackets, etc where they rub up against my wrists. It makes me feel very balanced. This is the one I reach for when I do feel like wearing pheros but can't decide what would work best. And the scent....If I had to pick just one scent that embodies to me what LPMP is all about....it would be this one.

    Espiritual

Very multidimensional. If I apply too much (more than 4 swipes with the roller bottle) it goes very soapy on me. One of those scents where my nose can't really pick out what's in there. I'm surprised to read it contains smoke. I do LOVE me sage scents, so that may be what has me coming back for more. I have worn many scents in my car....but my car smells overwhelmingly of this. Which is pretty awesome when you think bout the intent of this (protection).
  12. Siiiiiiiigh, I'm having a hard time choosing this or the sugared dragon's blood as my current faves. This one lasts on me...12 hours plus, the dragon's blood maybe 4. ( I added some sugared cream to each). After the first 6 hours, I get just a very dry, lovely wood scent, like stepping into it a secret cave and finding centuries old wood that was lovingly oiled and then preserved. I have researched both ingredients tonight, and frankincense is showing potential as a psychoactive drug that relieves depression and anxiety, at least in mice. These are both mentioned in the bible and the Talmud, as I'm sure many of you know. But it surprised me to find out that it was even used in Egypt. This is one of those fragrances I can't wait to use during meditation. I'm at the end of my cycle and not craving foodie scents or social blends at ALL. I want something dark, quiet, uncomplicated. This fits the bill perfectly.
  13. Mara, Thanks much for the update. I can wait a bit longer for the magic Still keeping my fingers crossed that you will end up with a storefront here in the 'Couve.
  14. On it's own it actually doesn't smell that sweet to me. I suspect my skin is soaking something up. But I have combined it with sugared majmua and sugared dragon's blood (separately) and it performs as I had hoped: it adds a warmth and sweetness to the mix but is not overpowering and is not making me feel like I bathed in a desert. Will he happy to experiment what else it combines well with ! This really makes me appreciate just how much experience you need to put a Love Potion together. The sum total is different than its parts. I love gaining a bit of insight into this process. I'm grateful to have this opportunity to tinker !
  15. Mmmmm, the same as with the majmua, I had never smelled this on its own. I would say now it's my favorite incense scent, I probably have mistaken it for patchouli many times. It's softer than patch, broader, more comforting. I waffled between combining it with sugared cream and sugared French vanilla and decided on the cream. A good choice. I applied it half/half and it turns out VERY lovely. Enough for me to wear it like that out and feel it was plenty multidimensional.
  16. I had never smelled majmua on it's own, which is true for several of the sugareds I have ordered. I'm still educating my nose. At first I was quite disappointed with this one, it seemed unexciting and sooooo different than Majmua Sultana (which I adore). I also found the scent disappeared on me within 30 minutes. Then I combined it with sugared cream and it was loooooovely all of a sudden. Still not too sweet, that exotic aura that I love. And the scent lasted...not sure...I wore this to bed and happily fell asleep with it while huffing my wrists. Can't ask for more than that.
  17. girlfriday, thanks for sharing that with us. I'm noticing how positively my scents affect others as well. And sometimes I just let intuition guide me as to what I need to wear that day. Other times I direct it fully at myself, since I'll be the one in the scent cloud all day. So wonderful...
  18. I'm with StacyK, I'm not getting the coconut. Perhaps in a scent locket I would. I wore it overnight, and woke up swearing I had applied Spider Silk. Or possibly SS's younger cousin. Sweet, silky, comforting, with no one note standing out. A bit like a sachet you would tuck in between your clothing from Bed, Bath, and Beyond, but more refined. It's so mild on me I can really only smell it when I'm in the same place a long time. This may all change during a different part of my cycle. If it does, I will add another review here
  19. Maybe it has aged in the bottle...this is a year on now...to me it smells like Christmas ornaments in a cardboard box under a freshly cut Christmas Tree. And the scent stays STRONG for hours. I really can't smell any strawberry. Gave me instant childhood memories. I can literally smell the well-loved cardboard that carries those sacred, cherished scents inside of it all year, how the seep out of the pores of the paper, and then the accumulated scents from all the various treasures it has contained for decades on end. A very sentimental and sacred scent for me. Lovely.
  20. This smells like frozen peaches to me. It just surrounds me like a star-lit night. Very spiritual, very tantric. I used to think that Love Potion Rouge w/ LFM was the most 'me' scent-wise, but this is even more 'me'. Positive energy, yet mysterious, somewhat psychic ability boosting to my mind, feminine but not overly so, plus silver is my favorite metal to work with energetically. Swoooooon.
  21. Cops and aja....this is a combo I've tried myself and the selfies were wonderful. Cannot WAIT to see what it would smell like with Aja already in it.
  22. This hasn't gotten love in ages. I love how unique this smells on me. I kept huffing my wrists. I am loving the fennel, I'm one of those people who buys straight fennel tea leaves just because I adore the scent of it. I don't specifically smell the ginger or the saffron, just a little warm something 'else'. After about two hours, it becomes more powdery and soft on me, almost like anise seed. I don't see myself wearing this to work or slathering it on myself for date night. However, it made me very calm, not unlike Sogni Incantati. I may wear it to bed or for meditation. Or simply because it's such a truly unique scent, and I love treating myself to something different sometimes. I could also see this being a hit with people who like Renaissance Fairs. Hubby inhaled deeply at my wrist a few times, closed his eyes, and we once again discussed how amazing LP is and how deeply it can affect us.
  23. Yes, I received mine today. This is my first foray into the sugareds. I was half afraid they would all be super sweet, but to my nose they really aren't. This is raw almond with a hint of ... agave or honey to my nose. It was 'dry' enough that I layered it with sugared cream for a marzipan-type effect. Definetly unisex to my nose, and not perfumey. Perfect for layering.
  24. Blackcat, Your mention that it has a serious 'kick' has me fascinated. Are you getting selfies from the scent similar to what you would get from drinking coffee ?
  25. Hey Beach Goddess, you've come over to the Totem side Very cool. I like stretching my usual scent limits as well. I seem to naturally rotate what I wear over a cycle, so foodies during my period, then more tropical towards ovulation, and calmer and meditative towards my period. And I love the unisex scents for work or when I'm super stressed. The Totems fill that hole for me, something beautiful, sometimes mysterious, sometimes unisex. So much to discover.
