  1. This one is very... sort of evocative on me? It really does make me think of earth, but not in a dirt way, more like a trees and sky and nature way if that makes any sense. I think it's the combination of river water and honey. I get a lot of wood, water, and honey, and the honey is strong on me the whole time. The rest of the fragrance besides the honey feels almost a bit masculine to me. The honey note is definitely SLF-like - both SLF and this smell like a floral-polleny honey to me (versus something like Honey Whip which would be a bright honey).
  2. I definitely get the kitchen baking apple oatmeal cookies vibe when I first put it on, but it morphs into what Hearts said - like a spicy, apple cider. The allspice and woods make the apple note, even when it's in the apple oatmeal cookie phase, more like an outside autumn crisp apple rather than a sweet foody apple if that makes any sense at all. Also reminds me a bit of those fall-scented candles, but not in a good way. It's a great balance of gourmand and spicy autumn woods to me.
  3. Initially, I get a lot of olive blossom, sandalwood, and the tiniest hint of black pepper (it's so well blended in there I wouldn't be able to tell if I didn't read the notes - it kinda adds "heat/warmth" rather than feeling like a full note if that makes sense). The olive blossom is very strong on me throughout drydown - it's definitely a fresh, clean scent with a tiniest hint of floral (but definitely more fresh/clean than floral) that on application reminds me a lot of Money Multiplier but less green and more olive - I think MM also has olive blossom as a note.
  4. Tyvey, I also smell chocolate in this and was going crazy because I was like, that is most definitely not in the list of notes what is happening with my nose!
  5. The mango and pineapple and really strong in the bottle and when I first put it on my skin, it's bright, juicy fruit. Then I can smell the coconut, vanilla, and pink peppercorn more as the fruitiness takes more of a backseat. I really like the dash of pepper - I feel like it keeps this from getting super sweet and gives it more of a sophisticated gourmand feel
  6. Very bright grapefruit with a hint of floral and honey initially. The grapefruit does calm down fairly quickly, the combination of citrus + flower reminds me a lot of Summer Crush. Even though there's no honey on here, I can definitely smell how the freesia is the "honeyed" kind, if that makes any sense. Drydown for me is mostly the freesia with the grapefruit in there for brightness - the floral part of this really comes out with time. This would be great to wear in the spring! It also reminds me of a drink for some reason... Like a bright pink drink in one of those curvy classes topped with a little umbrella. Maybe I'm just craving grapefruit.
  7. THIS IS AMAZINGGGGG The toffee, marshmallow, and maple are blended super well together - I can't really pick it apart. I think this is the first time I've smelled toffee as a note... It slightly reminds me of coffee but lighter and sweeter. I really have no words to describe this except it's so delicious. I can smell the patchouli in the background, but it's not very strong to me at all. It doesn't seem to be as prominent a note as in LPs and just adds some depth into this.
  8. Just curious, Equinox, how many sprays did you use? I just tried one spray yesterday to try out the scent. I get a lot of marshmallow and licorice/anise with a hint of grapefruit. Barely any spice. Not sure if my nose is being weird, but it almost overall reads to me as a... bubblegummy smell (though not in a bad way)? Need to let my sample rest a bit and try again. I did blind buy a FB just because I have a sample from 2014 and love it (though that one is definitely more grapefruit forward), and I've wanted to give the Levitation phero a shot because I've loved Open Windows so far.
  9. Can I please get a Gooey Crunch? Might be back for Bermuda later - gotta test out that one some more first
  10. This looks like so much fun, and I love that sign!!
  11. Can I just add a sampler to my order (also while I'm being invoiced again, can I also get a LP Black?)? Thanks, Mara
  12. Might change after the notes go up, but can I reserve a Bermuda and Gooey Crunch? EDIT: Actually I'll just wait for the notes. Are there samplers available for this month?
  13. As of now... LP Black Sweet Surrender Stacy's Lady Luck Tropical Musk Cougar
  14. LOL as a joke one of my close friends calls him "Say-on" and was hellbent on that pronunciation... I got into the habit and always pronounced it as Say-on before my other friends were like "it's actually Shawn." He's Korean and his full name is Seong ik, pronounced "sung-eek." The English version is Shawn, all because his kindergarten teacher misheard his dad pronounce "sung" as Shawn.
  15. I got this during the sale, and I'm so glad I did, oh my lord. It's amazing. I starting to notice I basically love anything Mara makes with coconut. I get a lot of bright coconut initially with about equal amounts of pineapple and bamboo. The bamboo for me really gives this the "tropical beach" scent. The drydown for me is mostly bamboo and musk. This is instantly in my top 5.
  16. I'M SO EXCITED. There's so many that look interesting to me omg... Definitely thinking about getting a sampler set this month
  17. Grabbed this during the sale thanks to the undiscovered treasures thread, and I totally understand the hype. It's delicious! I'm a bit wary of honey scents because a lot of them tend to go either dirty or honey or vinegar on me, but the honey in this just remain "bright" on me. Initially, I got a blast of marshmallow and honey, but then then those disappeared pretty quickly, and I was left with a LOT of licorice and anise. It felt a bit loud, which worried me. BUT shortly afterwards, the licorice and anise mellowed out and it was mostly marshmallow with a hint of honey. Absolutely lovely.
  18. Yeah I can say college students use it as another word for awesome/cool/good. It's because of the phrase "dank memes," which was used to describe a cool or neat meme. So the definition overflowed from there.
  19. Lellen, Mara brewed another round of FB's of this that's on Etsy
  20. Thank YOU so much for the amazing creation, Mara!
  21. Whoooooo! First PE, although my friend basically chose all the notes... I had this done for one of my good friends named Seon for his birthday. Over the summer, I sent him the huge list of notes, and he picked out the mahogany, woodsmoke, and chestnuts, and I left the last note to Mara. He was confused as to why I was asking him, but I told him in time he'd understand... So I surprised him with this last night! He was super excited when I gave it to him and kept sniffing his wrists for the rest of the evening. About 2 hours after he initially put it on, he said, "OH MY GOD IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER." Initially, it reminds me a little of those autumn-scented candles, but it mellows out really quick into this really amazing crisp fall scent, and the leaves and woodsmoke are balanced out by the slight sweetness of the chestnut to where I feel like this could be unisex. I'm really tempted to order a bottle for myself now, actually!
  22. I get a really bright, tart fruitiness out of the bottle and when I first apply, like Lainey. Then the fruit disappears on me during dry down, and it becomes surprisingly a lot more musky than I anticipated, but then it changes again and becomes almost all fruit - I think it's the rhubarb. Definitely didn't expect so many changes out of what I thought was going to be just a bright fruit scent!
  23. Random question - are PE's still open/available to be ordered for the next round?
