  1. Vintage Musk

A "super-custom" crafted for a client who mourned the loss of a favorite scent that has been lost to us since the 1970's. With just a sniff from an old bottle, we crafted our version for her, and she declared it better than the original! This musk has only the tiniest touch of sweetness and can be worn by both sexes - our client and her husband both wear it. Rounded edges, soft and easy to wear like well-worn cotton...comfortable, natural and cozy. Crafted of a 'cool' sort of musk paired with a non-foody vanilla, rounded with a dash of powdered sugar and a few drops of soft sandalwood.

OK, this is what I'm talkin' about!! I absolutely LOVE this!! The cool, cotton feel is so absolutely refreshing, but rich at the same time. The "cool" element of this musk is *almost* green, but not really. So hard to describe, but so completely perfect. It reminds me of something, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Sexy and familiar, like my lover's eyes. I want to bathe in this, and I might have to buy enough to do so!!

  2. I'm hoping this has some sense of Lait Sucre about it, if it does I shall be so happppeeeeeee, and not need to make my own PE after all! iT sounds like it probably could do.

I think you'll be very happy!!

I have a feeling this one might go on my trade page for one of the other ones.

  3. French Musk

A lovely, lightly sweet skin musk which reminded the client for whom this was crafted of her youthful summers spent on the beaches of her French home. Crafted of white musk, vanilla, white sugar, oak moss and a dash of sweet sandalwood. This is the base on which the two following variants are built....

So far this is just vanilla musk on me. It has a tiny touch of the play-dough - which my skin sometimes does with certain vanillas, but it's not bad. I am hoping the sandalwood and oak moss will make themselves known after this melds a bit more with my skin.

  4. OK, 2 hours later and this has worn so beautifully!! It's sweeter and almost edible, but in a not-foody way. Hard to pin it down, but the sandalwood is the most beautiful of all the sandalwood's I've ever smelled!! The clove is so intricately melded that I can't really pick it out, but it's there. It's all I can do not to place an order right this minute!!

  5. This is definitely going on my full-bottle list!!

I had just a second of sharpness about 1 minute after application, but now it's smooooooooth!! I adore anything sandalwood, and this is a soft, sweet, light sandalwood. It reminds me of Soul Food, without the spicy notes. Definitely a cousin of Constant Craving. The coffee note seems to add a lightly earthy feel. I actually smelled the coffee only in the first few seconds after application, now it's just a feeling. Non-foody vanilla, for those that like it!!

This is the perfect warm-weather scent for us dark, resiny lovers!!

  6. Zion, great post!! You've given me a lot to think about before I try this again.

When I first received it (1x in alcohol) I tried it a few times, with not too much effect, but now I think I didn't know what I was looking for. Luckily, I didn't seem to have a bad burnout experience.

I'm very interested in trying it with something like Flying Potion. I'm thinking 1 spray each, on top of one another. Any opinions on this?

  7. Teacozy, I frequently open the tops of the roller bottles in order to mix some perfume oil with some phero spray. The roller tops are often quite tightly fixed in their bottle, so what I do: I use a small nail file and bring its pointed end between the plastic part of the roller top and the glass part. Then I carefully push the plastic part out of the glass bottle, but before it completely comes out I take a clean piece of cloth or a paper tissue to pull it out by hand just to avoid any spilling of the product.

This is exactly how I do it, too!! I have a little nail file devoted to this task. Don't try to take the ball itself out of the roller assembly. Even though they sometimes find themselves out of it and lodged in the cap of the bottle, they aren't meant to be removed. If you ever find them out and in the cap, just replace the cap and screw it down real tight, and the ball should pop itself back in place.

  8. That does sound good, GL. What a great scent idea. Have you given it to him yet? Does he love it?

It was a birthday gift, and he does love it!!

Wow, interesting. I can't get my mental nose around that. It's unisex-y then?

I think it is, it's not sweet at all, and the orange burns off quicker than the frank & myrrh. Fans of resiny stuff will probably like this! I will be experimenting layering it with sweet things like LP Orig and scented TMI.

  9. Jimmy's California Messiah, what a beautiful picture! I wonder which are the ingredients? Grow A Pear sounds very attractive, so does Mango Tango. Waiting for the descriptions before I decide. But at least one or two of the Musks, that's a must!

Frankincense, Myrrh and Orange!!! It's sooooo good, I'm wearing it too!!

  10. I think today's the day...right????

    I'd go for some Rich-sticky-resiny-vanillay-sexay-yum!!!

    Or some fruity-boozy-slutty-sweetness!!

    How about fairy-honey-magic-yummy???

ETA: Oops, I posted this before I saw the the New Releases are actually UP!!! Can't wait for the descriptions to see if I got close!!
