Oh SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Just realized Pheromas are coming!!!

I LOVE Oak Moss. I love it so freakin' much! I actually play with it often because it grows on a lot of things in our forest and it's pretty magical. Mara's Oak Moss note is wonderful!!! I have some Oak Moss absolute that is dark and gooey and intense. I treasure and use it VERY sparingly in aromatherapy. Mara told me a long time ago that the true absolute can do some pretty nasty things to people who are sensitive to it, so she uses an accord of it for her customers' health. And you know what? It's BANG ON. And I mean perfectly bang on!!! I have the absolute and the Sugared Oak Moss on side by side right now. They smell the SAME. Except...the Sugared is truly the nicer of the two because, well, SUGAR. Hee! Here is yet ANOTHER Sugared that I need in large quantity. People keep commenting that these "single notes" have incredible depth and beauty and don't really need to be mixed. I totally agree...although the possibilities *are* endless and seductive. YUMMY!!!!

*waves at JudyO!* I ADORE THIS. Oh my stars and garters this is beautiful. I love it in the spray, and now I need it in the oil too. It is an amazing total Apricot. For me, it's sweet enough that it leans toward homemade apricot jam with the skins left in. The skins give it a little bite. I now completely understand why people have been swooning about Mara's Apricots for so long. ~Oooh. Did I say that out loud?~ *gigglesnort*

I ended up liking this one a lot, but it took a while. Heh. Now, be aware that I tested Sugared Marshmallow on my upper arm, so I KNOW it's not a well-and-truly proper test, at least on *my* skin...but I just couldn't wait to try it. So it was sweet and marshmallow-ish and yet smelling a bit like a big drop of French vanilla. It smelled more vanilla whiffed straight from my arm and more marshmallow whiffed *away* from my skin. It took 20 minutes to a half hour, and I'd kind of forgotten about it, and then voila! True marshmallow!!! Wow. Yet another sugared that I need more of, because I can see the possibilities of combining it...!

Another winner! This is beautiful stuff. Wet, before it hits my skin, I get a hit of butter smell...and something else that I can only describe as Pumpkin Liqueur! The moment it hits my skin, though, I get a wonderful bloom of spices. I love me some spices, and I do tend to amp them, but these are...what?...firm, yet...polite! After the spices relax back a little, this nommy, nutty, buttery, slightly sweet cooked pumpkin starts peeking out and gradually--ever so gradually--steals center stage from the spices. But they still all love each other. Hee! On way long drydown, it's still spiced cooked pumpkin deliciousness that slowly fades and leaves a whisper of it's glory in its wake. Am acquiring more of this ASAP.

*Waves at JudyO wherever you are!* I am loving this one, too--a LOT! I was afraid I would amp the smoke, but I don't! I'm getting roasted marshmallows, nice and brown and burnt at the spot that was closest to the coals because the marshmallow kept *twirling* and it caught on fire and I blew it out. Then there's the scent of firewood smoke, and it hits me as soft wood because we wanted to make and use the fire quickly, so we grabbed some pine and boy, did it work well. And the scent is sweeter at first, because I've got melted marshmallow all over my face and fingers...but as I lick myself clean, I get more woodsmoke and *burnt* sugar, because that's what's still on my skewer, stuck to my fingernails, and in my hair. Holy shit. What is it about this one that makes all of us drop into a different and wonderful part of our realities?!?? Mara, this one kicks serious ass. You nailed it.

Besides, any of Mara's creations with Tonka make me damp in the right spot. Tonka and I are developing a history. Heh. So on me, I can wear this anywhere, any time. It's exactly what I was hoping it would be. Nicely unisex. Nicely unisexy. When I first snoofed it in the vial and then on my skin it was all eye-rolling pleasure. I've worn it twice now, and thus far all the notes blend into a wonderful orgasm of scent. I am amping neither leather, honey, nor spices, but they're all in there playing very nicely with each other. It's just all so GOOD together!!! I'm sorry I can't be more eloquent with this one. It's partial brain-deadness from a long working weekend, and the rest is just that...that I just... GAH! I LOVE LP: BLUE!!! *runs off cackling and skipping*

Ah, Bittersweet! This is going to sound truly odd...but it hits me like a chocolate version of X Appeal. Cannot fathom how it does it. Hee! I get mostly chocolate at first, and there *is* a teeny edge of the hazmat I'll get from milk chocolate notes and some of the smuttier honeys. Then that wanders off permanently and a sweet note starts coming in. THAT is the thing that smells like X Appeal. It's a soapy-floralish-clean note and I love it! How can that be in this one??!? There is a very slight hit of the coffee that sits way at the edges, but I only perceive it because I'm looking for it. I don't get the vanilla or the patch as separate notes at all. This one really is its own universe of sophistication and little-black-dress-foody joy. It's not in your face, but instead is quietly, intriguingly present. Dang. Every time I wear it I want it more. Don't know how else to say that. Stuff ROCKS. Need bottle.
