  1. Ha, seems I am in some verrrrrrrrrrrrry good company here. Update: pear and smutty vanilla were all that remained on my arms by about 2.5-3 hours after application, but I do LOVE that smutty smell, mmmm. So that's not a criticism. Just updating with my impressions. The peppery/gingery smell (which I also love) lasted for a good hour or more, then faded.
  2. Hey all. I just wanted to comment on the actual fragrance of these two together. Because they both contain 'mones I'm putting it here but this is about the actual scent of the combination. I put these on together wet, not much of each...a couple dabs on each wrist (with the sample-size applicator), and so far (1/2 hr. later) I love this scent so much. Exotic yet sweet...spicy, but with sweet pear and fresh grapefruit...(Unfortunately the grapefruit dies on me fast with CP, I'm finding, but I'll report back later). So wonderful. Exotic in a non-old-lady way. (I am an old lady, by the way. 44...I just love saying the "old lady scent" thing, it cracks me up...) ETA: Aww. My little 5-year-old says, "Mmmm. It smells like strawberries. I think I smell something gerd!" For some reason he pronounces good "gerd."
  3. All I know is the SELF-effects are so so nice for me. I don't like feeling overly jazzed Happy Helmet-ed, but I do feel I need a lift once in a while. This seems to make me feel balanced, yet lighthearted, and ready to take on my day happily. I'm also being nicer to people. It just feels good. Well, to me.
  4. That makes sense, Calii (not drinking it)...thanks! I do like how I feel with it on. Just...a nice feeling. I still get a little whiff of Eau de Guy.
  5. By the way, is it true that this shouldn't be worn every day? I was reading about some of the ingredients (don't know if I'm allowed to post them so I won't) and how they could affect hormones. Or is that a pheromone urban legend?
  6. Not sure yet how I feel about the scent of this. For some weird reason, I feel like I smell like I'm wearing a men's fragrance. Am I weird? Not sure about effects yet. Everyone in the store today was rushing to help me, but then again, store workers here in SoCal tend to be incredibly nice...seriously...I had one dude offering me a cart I didn't need...one woman asking me four times if she could help me "just in case" I needed her. I didn't...This was a sports supply store... Men & women alike seemed fine w/me...no negative reactions or anything. Let's see how this goes. ETA: I forgot to list the self-effects! At first I felt almost high! Then, just relaxed, yet peppy. I've been leery...I feel like beta-everythings have a "sadness" factor for me and alpha-everythings give me a headache (both of these effects happen within 5-30 minutes). But you know what? Five hours later, and neither of either of those. Maybe balance is a factor with me or something. Or maybe there's just little enough of each in the mix. I am also very frisky...just frisky in general. Not really horny, just in a fun mood but not a "Happy Helmet" fun mood (which I've gotten before with too much A-nol, LOL!). Feels...good. Right. So far.
  7. You're welcome! :love As far as your description above: mmmmmmmmmm. Moi aussie. Try Closer for the spiciness. It's a gingery spiciness. It does dry down to a lot of pear on me but it's a very smutty pear, in no way sweet 'n gooey. But the spiciness is just, mmmmmmmmmmm, in there. Yummy yum yum. I love Orientals (I hate that name though...but the fragrance industry still uses it). Cinnamon, light pepper, ginger...nom.
  8. That's the one I seriously love too, after it dries down. Pure vanilla on me, a classy vanilla, so so so good! Second runner-up is Pink Amber. Yum + girly = lots of fun.
  9. It really is weird how that happens for some scents and some people, isn't it? I'm going to go give LP Red another shot. ETA: You know, it's weird...I don't get that eucalyptus-y flower shop smell this time...could it be that I was tainted from all the fragrances I was trying? This time I have it on right out of the bath. VERY cinnamon. I do love cinnamon...had the hubby sniff it, he said "that's nice, honey" noncommittally, but as I've said in another post, he's just "meh" on fragrances in general. I wish I had a young horny man who likes fragrances around to tell me how these really smell!!
  10. That's not weenie-ish! I tend to be VERY careful of notes that just don't agree with me, even if they're only said to be present in small amounts. A sample first is the way to go. :thup
  11. What do ya like? Sweet, resin-y, citrus-y? I'm sure a bunch of peeps can recommend some less cops-heavy scents to ease you into things. I mean unless you want to go in full-tilt!

Ooh! A surprise, a delight! (It was a free sample.) It starts out all lemon on me; then the peppermint comes out, but not so strongly that I smell like a tube of Lip Smackers or anything. I feel like wishing everyone a good Yule with this on! Great for the winter party this year, I'm thinking...the family one. I have something else in mind for the after-party party with just the hubs... But that's a thought for another thread. This is clear and cool but not chillingly cold...it's the sun in wintertime, reminding us that he's coming back soon.
  13. Is the spiciness/pepperiness I'm smelling, the ginger? Oh great googly moogly but is that ever nice. Oh please please let DH like this one as much as I do.
  14. Hmmm... Initial impression (wet): Not sure. It's almost a little too heavy on the sweetness as opposed to the cinnamon, and I was looking for more cinnamon. Secondary impression (drydown): No likey. It smells like the back of a floral decor shop...that dried herbs smell...it's a lovely smell, just not for me, on my body. Not a sexy scent on me. A little later: It has morphed to...rootbeer! Okay, not bad, not offensive, even a bit sweet and nice, I could layer this with something for sure; I just don't like having to wait so long to like it. And it's not a snarf-my-own-arm scent. ETA: I have just found that layering this with Closer does sex things up and is QUITE a nice combination...smells like a very sexy Christmas party! I will have to remember this for the coming winter! Overall, I can definitely see why this translates as sexy for many people (most people?). My body chemistry is a little different from the norm; my body pulls weird notes. I'm definitely keeping this one as it ends up being a nice scent, very pleasant, but too dried flowers/RenFest-ey for me as an everyday scent.
  15. Disclaimer: my body chemistry is weird. My overall impression of Closer: Oh my gourd. My nose is so far up my arm it's almost through to the other side. I wanna bleep me like an animal. Initial impression (wet): NO cops smell; lots of spice; it smells so so much like my former HG of spicy "Orientals" (department store brand) from when I was younger, that I've never been able to find again and whose name I have forgotten. I used to think it was maybe Giorgio BH Red, but I tried GBH Red recently and...something's missing. So now I'm thinking maybe it was Imari? But I had a choice between buying a sample of Imari and buying some LMPM and of course I went for the latter. Well...THIS (Closer) is it. This is...whatever that spicy, very slightly peppery, OHMYFREAKINLORDISITSEXY scent was, all grown up but not *too* grownup...playful, enchanting, inviting. Only more natural...and with cops. I'll take Closer!!! Latter impression (dry): Fades quite a bit, but that's not necessarily a bad thing; I don't want to overwhelm the rest of the world. It also gets a very slight sweetness. Just...nice. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. Not as sexually exciting as the wet application (my but that sounds like a leading statement) but warm and beautiful and nice and still sexy; just more sensual than sexual. Luxurious. Total keeper. Next month (when I'm allowed to buy again, LOL) I will be getting a bottle of this. I can see this as my go-to scent. So far it seems very less-dirty HG to me. (LAM original is my dirty HG.) By the way: I don't get leather from this at all, really. Again, my body chemistry. Who knows...But I'm glad because that was the one note I was feeling cautious about. I get a LOT of warmth, warm warm warm warm, but not really any leather, per se. This also isn't overly heavy on the musk; I think these two notes maybe just carry the other scents, give them body and "oomph" (on me). Oh, and I do get vanilla for sure. ETA: Zowie! I get pear in full force after a couple/few hours. I don't mind that at all. I like it...mmmmmm. Two HG scents in one month...that's crazy...does not happen to me...I've been on a fragrance hunt for more than a year now! p.s. My son says, "Let me smell your arm flowers." <3
  16. Oh no, I never saw this...I'm sorry! I didn't mean to be rude and not answer you. I'm finding two of the LAMs work really well for me...the pink amber and the original sugared HV (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm). I liked PG a few times, even loved it, after the original bumps in the road. Now I'm "off" of it again. I think my nose can only take the heaviness of the cops at certain times. Re: spicy...I have a sample of Love Potion Red on order. It sounds divine.
  17. Okay, I have just gotten around to trying the Sugared Honey & Vanilla (original scent) LAM because on first sniff out of the bottle, I just wasn't that impressed. I think I smelled mostly cops. But now that I know better than to decide on one sniff... I did try it. On application, I could barely smell it. What I could smell was almost like a sugary crayon, but not in a bad way, if that makes sense. I think it had just barely a...synthetic-y smell, if that makes sense. Or waxy? But an hour or so later, I LOVE THIS. Who once said "sugarpussy"? LOL...yes, that, but...clean. Clean sugarpussy. Actually...almost like cocoa butter with sugar, if that makes sense. (I guess my virginia smells like cocoa butter? Who knew...) Like a fabulous cookie in the making but not quite that food-y and definitely not *overly* sweet. That's got to be the vanilla, right? Nicest vanilla I've ever smelled...ever, and I mean that. Anyway, I love love love love love what this has mellowed out to. It is VERY sexy. Very very very very sexy. Mmm. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. My favorite fragrance-wise so far from LPMP. Effects: I don't know. My husband isn't home yet but I do know the *self*effects at least of LAM in general have been making me happy, satisfied and sexy, and I don't know if he's just feeling that or if it's the cops, but my hubbie is definitely cuddly and sexy lately. And romantic. ETA: Oh, boy. I can't get my nose out of my arm. The smellllllllllllllllllllll...Oooooooh. (fainting) (picking self up) (fainting again) Somebody please help me, I just can't stop...(WildAutumn faints again)
  18. Must...not...buy...muuuuuuuuuuuuuust notttttttttttttttttt...Oh, it's not working.
  19. ^^ Normal is overrated! I'd rather be abnormal and happily huffing my own wrists and boobs.
  20. Haven't tried any of the OCCOs yet -- we'll see if I get brave enough in time! I caved and bought a bottle of LAM pink amber. On me, it is very, very wearable.
  21. Am giving LAM Pink Amber one more try... I want to see whether the headache/feeling of overwhelmed was not from the 'nol, but from just trying too darned many fragrances at once. During that time period I honestly was trying at least three different fragrances a day and some of those more than once with a washing-off in between and I think it drove my senses crazy, all the differences. (Not crazy in a good way, either.) So let me give this one more shot...I so want LAM in general to work for me. Wish me luck! I do heart the fragrance of Pink Amber. Oh yummmmmmmmm.
  22. PheroGirl lasts on me until I wash it off...period! Which is kinda nice...no reapplying! (unless I want to...le wink)
  23. Thank you...Yes, I'm having this issue with any actual oil fragrance. Ughhhhh. The scents are so so nice but I can't seem to handle anything any more...well, except cops!
  24. Just what the title says. Can I use a fragrance in the Fragranced Linen Spray and spray it on myself? I am loving some of the scents but am finding too much scent in general/too strong a scent, as with oils, is giving me headaches. (I'm prone to them anyway, BTW...just sensitive.)
