You know, my trial vial of the 2015 version has disappeared somewhere in the void of my room but I have a sniffie of the original and now I finally understand why this was so beloved. It's such a great melding of spicy and sweet with smooth resins. The old school LPMP resin-based scents were THE BEST, y'all!

I agree wholeheartedly on that! I still adore my stash of Hathor.....dark but smooth at the same time!

As a matter of fact, I think that is what I will wear today.....

I know it has been a very long time since anyone posted on this thread but I wanted to add this experience. Could it be some of us are TOO sexual somehow, and the overly sexual pheros without a tempering element (like EST) just put people off? Or...something like that?

 

In CB I feel slower and softer, luxurious, womanly...like a woman in a garden stroking the flowers and bringing their soft petals to my face...running them over my lips. Vs. say a rawr sex kitten. Still sexy but...with a lilting girliness. Just femininity.

Sometimes it can be the man you're with....they may want a woman who is just more flirty and feminine, sometimes it is a man who wants a woman who is sexually aggressive. For instance, some men don't do well with Est.....every man is different, so you have to find the ones that he, personally responds to.

In some cases, as Lynne mentioned above, it can be context too.....wearing half of a bottle of OCCO to work.....not a good idea....OH they may think you are very sexy, but too sexual for an office setting. So someone who keeps upping their cops dosage at work, and gets no reactions....well, probably because of context.

I can only speak to my own gender, but I was really referring to a completely different social interaction context.

Most educated, informed women are aware that men and women are wired differently, and datadragon, I really don't think, personally that we need a lecture on the science of erections.

 

Thank you Dolly, this is great information. There was a moment when I had the dropper and the alcohol and everything all set up and I was thinking, "I could put them in this, and this..." and then realized I was most likely going to regret it in due time. Giving it 24 hours for it to "bloom" is not something I would've known, but it sure makes sense! I intellectually comprehend that less is more, but it's such a challenge to behave accordingly.

Yeah, I have made about every mistake you can imagine....been using pheros since 2002/2003 or thereabouts......if you get bleed-through one time, in the wrong situation, you will REMEMBER......LOLOL

I looove this scent, and it fits in with my current pumpkin marshmallow lifestyle. Thing is, there just aren't enough hours in the day, so I'm wearing this TO BED. I mean, I'm alone, so really just for sleeping. But I think it will be a good test to see what it smells like in the am. I'm thinking about adding in some EoW, and don't want to overshoot the mark. Could I add just 2 drops to a bottle? Or maybe 4? I know most people prob do 6-10, but I haven't been subtle about much lately, and I wouldn't have to worry I was overdoing it.

 

Just curious. Any thoughts? What is the smallest amount one might add in to a good cover like Wicked, or something more sheer?

 

 

Edit: I added cops as follows:

 

1) I filled an 8ml purse atomizer with 1/3 Wicked oil, 2 small drops EoW, and filled the rest with perfumer's alcohol

 

2) I added 6 small drops EoW to the rest of the Wicked oil bottle. I'm not a mathmetician, but I'd say that works out to be about 11 drops if it were a full bottle oil.

 

I say small drops because I used a glass ml measuring dropper, not a pipette, which I believe would've been harder to control. I'm very happy with how it turned out. I like the effect of the cops in the alcohol, even though wide dispersal isn't my goal, it seemed to dry down a bit quicker.

Here's a little tip.....I wouldn't worry too much with Wicked, because it is a heavier scent......BUT, that said, if you are adding cops, and it is a scent that is on the lighter to medium side, scent-wise, add a few drops, shake it, and then let it sit for at least 24 hours before testing for bleed-through and adding more if necessary. If you don't know what bleed-through is, let me describe it as such.....you are standing there, smelling lovely, you move around, your perfume wafts around a bit, and you say.....WHAT IS THAT that I smell.....is that COOCH? So, yeah....sometimes EoW can take a while before it "blooms" in a scent.

Here's another frame of reference too.....I believe that Mara said that the OCCO scents only contain like 30 drops of cops per 10ml bottle.......so, if you're not trying to knock somebody over the head with your cops load, you could easily just start off with a few drops in a bottle and see what type of effects you get.

Quantum Leap was one of my fave shows when it was on.....can still find it now and again in reruns. They all look great Mara!

Sadly, I am clearly not as strong as you. I was 110 lb. at the time, he's 285 on a skinny day. I literally jumped on his face like Will Farrell jumping on the Christmas tree in Elf. He says it was one of the scariest moments of his life because he says when he threw me off of him, my head missed the dresser by an inch. He then ran out of the house barefoot and hid in his car. He texted me and asked if he could please have shoes and his cigarettes. When I let him in, he told me that if I was going to be violent, he couldn't stay. (He was scared he'd lose his temper and hit me back, or even that I'd hurt myself trying to hurt him, and I'd call cops, and he'd lose his kids. ) I told him that he was full of shit, that he deserved to be punched in the mouth, and that we both knew he'd been trying to get me to stab him in the neck for years at that point. And he laughed, literally laughed. At that point and in that moment, he knew I was right. Truth is, he could've taken multiple stab wounds and I wouldn't have proud of myself later, but it wouldn't have been entirely unreasonable. And honestly I'm sure he would've taken a stabbing over having to listen to all my words over those few years.

 

I'm sure he's still afraid of my words. But we try hard to be kind to each other now and I don't see me stabbing anyone in the immediate future. I offered him the kids for thanksgiving with no extra words whatsoever, and he's really excited to take them shopping for clothes to wear to his cousins for dinner. And he said he has $800 for me for my car repair from last week, so I will keep wearing the alpha phero's around him!

I punched the ex-asshole with a right cross dead to the center of his chest. Got him off-balance......he forgot that I was practicing kick-boxing......he slapped me for something I said, I set my feet, right cross to his chest, he hit the floor. Boom. Will never EVER be an apology. EVER.

Hopefully, the bulk of my interactions with my ex-asshole are over. My son will be 19 this December and he chooses NOT to have a relationship with his father who lives right around the corner. Hasn't seen him in about 3 years. Any interactions that I HAVE TO have with him will be when I am wearing Dom.

Dolly has also mentioned that her guy prefers a more alpha-type female so it could be that because your ex had come to see you that way in the past and think of it as "normal" so then the reemergence of that quality leads him to believe that things are normal again. Or as much as they can be in that situation.

Yeah, my soon-to-be-ex prefers the alpha females, so it would totally feel "normal" to him.

But my son's Dad, (one of my ex-assholes) was an abusive man who always had to be in control, and preferred the subservient females. When I wear Dom around him, I think it reminds him of when I "snapped"......sheesh, toward the end, right before I took my son and moved out, I decked his ass when I decided I was taking no more. I am 5'1" (and about 160-ish at the time) and he was 6'2" and 240-ish. He hit the floor, and I told him the next time he even THOUGHT about hitting me he had better knock my ass out cold and start running, because when I caught him, I would kill him with my bare hands, and I would LOVE every minute of it. It scared the hell out of him, but I think it also turned him on a little, KWIM? So yeah, when I deal with him in person, I always DOM the hell out of him......he LITERALLY backs away from me.....almost tripped backwards down the front porch stairs at my house one day......it was hilarious.

I wear Dom around my son's Dad......who is in general, a big PRICK......and a bully. When I Dom him, he falls all over himself to make sure he doesn't offend me or piss me off.

 

I think perhaps I also never want to be without it, as I have 3 trial vials of LP Black instead of a full bottle, so I have no excuse not to carry one. I guess OCCO Black needs to make my want list too.

OCCO Black is great! LP Black and OCCO Black layer beautifully together too!

I believe that LP Black is much smoother and creamier on top. It has an earthy undertone, almost like a secret, but not the heavy dark incense feel that some people noted. It's very approachable.

That is one of the wonderful things about Mara's scents......they smell different on each individual person.

I appreciate your responses. Very helpful. I'm obsessed with Mara's various scents so I'm sure I'll find complementary combos. Can I create my own scents by incorporating Unscented pheros with potions and commercial perfume?

Mara can blend pheros into her scents for you....it is called "boosting". There are also several pre-scented, phero-enhanced blends. If you want to blend yourself, and you are adding commercial scents to the mix, I would suggest layering on your skin only. Otherwise, you could ruin lots of product.

And let the BI fully dry down first! Can't repeat that enough times!!

Blatant Invitation is kind of smelly so you would need a stronger scent to cover it. Super Sexy is not really too strong smelling so shouldn't be difficult to cover. Just make sure that you let the unscented pheros dry down completely before applying your cover scent.

I got all 3 scents from the store.....Resinate on me, I get almost all cocoa butter, very little in the way of resins, but I like cocoa butter so it's all good. Aphrodisia smells just like the solid perfume......YUM. And LPO body butter smells absolutely AWESOME. I will be buying more, for sure!

BTW, last Sunday, I've tried OW in oil, 2 stripes on each arm, seemed nothing different between us. Was I applied too less?

 

Dolly, May i know your application amount of OW?

Everybody has a different amount that will get results.....with OW in oil, I usually apply in spots that will really diffuse well.....neck, cleavage, I also use on the backs of my hands because I move my hands around a lot when I talk. Oil diffuses slowly......how long were the stripes you applied? You may have actually applied too much.

Sorry you are going through this. Open Windows will be great. It is not only mood-lifting but also opens the lines of communication a bit. I love Open Windows.....I ALWAYS have it on hand.

You may also want to consider maybe Treasured Hearts....brings out the so-called "nesting vibe" in men, smooths ruffled feathers in general, so to speak.

NIGHTMARE THREAD.

OK, so wet, both in the bottle and on my skin.....right up front, I get apple and benzoin. Benzoin always seems to have a bazooka-bubble gum scent on me for about the first 15 min or so, so I can pick it out. The apple is not bright though.....definitely a red delicious, very ripe apple. The apple fades to the background, but stays present. After drydown, I start getting more of the dragon's blood and woody notes......AND this one TOTALLY covers Sexpionage's stinkiness. Love love love! Glad I got two bottles!!

ETA......BUY THIS! After a few hours in, it is a musky skin scent that is still definitely THERE, but not in-your-face......it wafts and surrounds you, but is not cloyingly sweet or crazy dark.....it has a certain sweetness to it.....has people saying...."what is that?" and "you smell good"......and I didn't slather.....about a 2" stripe on back of hands.....you could totally put this on 2-3 hours before an "encounter", and still have a darker (but not too dark) skin scent with sexpionage still covered.....this one is a GEM!

ETA# 2......this one has STAYING POWER! I woke up this morning and could still smell the musky amber-y goodness.....YUM. LOVE IT.

Dolly, I'm remembering Decadent Diva (spacing on the name of your PE that inspired that, sorry) and whoa, lady, this was probably made with you in mind!

That PE was Resin Ho......so glad I still have a couple bottles of that one! When I read the ingredients for BLUD, I thought....hmmmmmm.......this one is quite possibly me!

First of all, Luna, that story is so full of win!

 

This was hard not to go full bottle on -- rare ingredients, resins -- but I am so trying to confront the hoard and start using things up that I made myself stick to sampler. This is stunning. It reminds me of Bewitching Hour, but that scent is full of late afternoon sunlight and this one is so Of the Night I can't begin to describe it well. The herbs and resins somehow temper each other in perfect balance and the apple ( which is clearly from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil), while a dominant note, doesn't read fruity or foodie. It's much more serious than that. This is a grown-up scent but not ladylike in the least. Complex, sophisticated, deeply female and oh yeah, also pure sexual power.

 

If you are looking for a Sexpionage scent, jump on this.

I went for two full bottles, unsniffed....could not resist when I saw the ingredients. I wanted a good sexpionage scent.......can't wait to get mine!

Welcome to the forum! If you like LP Black, try layering it with OCCO Black! Or try layering LP Black and LP Red together! Great combo!
