OMG I could not love this any more if you paid me! I’m a carnation ho and carnation perfumes don’t come around that often. This reads almost all carnation on me. I can tell the camellia is there softening it a bit and I know the spices are there playing off the carnation’s spice, but it’s subtle. This is not as sweet as Pinky Sweet and not as spicy or unisex as Evil In Carnation. It’s inbetween those two in tone. If I sniff super super hard, like so hard it hurts I can vaguely detect some of the other notes but it requires work on my part, so I won’t do that again. Carnation is one of my all time favorite notes so I am thrilled to have such a lovely perfume dedicated to it’s beauty. Full bottle for sure!

So glad to hear that. I had my eye on this. I love carnation and LP carnations. I'm dying for my sampler. This will be my first go. 🎉

I downloaded the app but have not done any of the tasks. I did do several hours of cleaning in my room yesterday which is the right zone so that’s something. I also ordered everything for an entire bedroom redo.

Awesome.  Let me know how you like their products. I did sign up for their emails on the website.

Omg. It was so totally weird. I'm so used to having one specific vibe/experience wearing LFM, and it's generally so predictable that I can depend on it happening every time I wear it. Normally when I wear it, people tend to stare at me, and talk about me, but not TO me. And yeah, there's that queenly (I always think of it as "swanny"), respect vibe that tends to keep people sort of behind an invisible barrier, almost like they're afraid or too nervous to talk to me. And I really wanted people to NOT want to chit-chat with me last night, so I chose LFM.

I was laughing so hard because the chef could see the one girl's face in the mirror - she was sitting with her back to the kitchen, but facing a mirror that goes along the banquette on the other side of the table. (This is the one who'd asked for the cheque before everyone was finished). The chef kept asking me if there was something wrong with her, because she WAS okay when they first got there, and she was okay all the way through their appetizers. But I'd taken the table over from another server whom I'd sent home for the evening, just after they'd finished their apps, and the chef noticed her very sudden scrunched up, frowning face and was like, "WTF is with that chick?". He even came all the way over to the bar side of the restaurant at one point, to ask AGAIN, if I was sure she was okay. LOL!

I guess all in all, it was pretty humorous, but I don't think I'll be wearing quite that much LFM in the future, and especially not with such a heavy dose of cops.

Eggers I waited tables in the early 90's at a very popular waterside place in Los Angeles.

The money was great (most of the time)! Man those were the days. I wish I knew that then. lol.

I will say I have litterally had that same exact experience and I never knew about cosmetic pheros then. So I can see that whole scene. I can feel you running your ass off and being totally aware of what's happening.  Flashback city to the nasty, jealous unsupportive Non-sister-bitches. Fuck them, even if you were wearing pheros.

Boy, the stories we could tell.

Honestly I have heard a few others say LFM holds people back.  It definately has right and wrong places. I get the good service from retailers and men in general. It is the first pheromone blend I ever tried here. That night people (friends and a couple i didn't know) were so nice. Everyone thought I looked better than I think I actually did. Maybe because I needed a big boost  of confidence and it gave me one. :)

The only place I dont wear it is to work

It challenges the female boss, so no. We get on well and its her hive. I am fine with that.

I'm looking to move on soon anyway.

More recently I had a similiar experieance with Heart & Soul (Ikr?) and cops. This one woman, whom I did not know, was weird. Like there was an invisable force field keeping her away from me. It was a neighborhood social event. I had just a small circle of COCO pink on my belly, well dried down, with a spray of H&S and a dab Spinnerette.

Most people were friendly and chatty.

Mostly women, the men who were there were married. It was not a "scene". I just wanted to feel happy and confident in a group of people only about 20% of them I knew. So its all good. This one friend introduced me to this lady, she barely looked at me, no eye contact and as if someone phyiscally pushed her (she did mumble a pretense) she backed away. It happened 2 more times during the evening when she saw me. Like there was this invisible barrier around me that bothered her and kept her back. oh well. It was intresting. Im thinking the youthfulness of H&S plus that bit of cops just freaked her out. Live and learn. I still enjoyed myself and had entertainment too boot.

I wish had pheros back when I was waiting that would have been a fun experiment. I think I would lean on Levitation, OW & MLH quite a bit. I wouldn't think cops great for tables with women. But, more often than not you seem to make it work.

@halo0073 that's awesome! I had the wall calendar and the stickers, but I didn't do the "control journal." If I was a paper person I would, though. I like the app with my routines listed, and you can add whatever you want. Like my #1 nighttime agenda item, to set the coffee pot for the morning. But I've always liked how she breaks things down, like 15 min of decluttering. That's why I set timer for 5 minutes per room and only commit to fold and put away 5 clothing items 3X a day. Having to "clean the house" will have me shopping for imaginary dream homes on Ziprealty in no time. Her way is to do a whole load start to finish everyday, but I do what's best for me.

This is how she helped me today, I have an item on my morning list called "think about who is home for dinner." Not plan it or cook it or even decide what to make, just to simply wrap my brain around who will be home and where they'll be coming from. That kind of low pressure got not just a dinner but a great dinner on the table, thinking about them and their needs and how I can love them up, instead of just doing another chore.

And, check it out, I did indeed shine my sink tonight!

    I

The 15 min cleans and shine your sink (along with clear counters)are still something I do today. Since you mentioned this I went to the site. I notice that ADHD is mentioned quite a bit. It is helpful for us with that condition. Glad people made that connection.

It doesn't smell like it used to on me. The cherry has sort of melted & disappeared into the blend. You're right: it's foody but not overwhelming. It smells really subtle and like, skin-sexy. I think I'll be wearing a lot of it this summer. It smells so beautiful, how can I not? And I think the phero has great potential at work. I've not worn MLH a lot, so I suppose I'll have to test it for dosage... Should be fun! I'm glad you reminded me of it!

Yes. The cherry is not much there. Which is a bummer because that note was so awsome and I dont think its around anymore. IMO the fruits always fade off first. But, that delicate creamy thing is still there. Its never been heavy foody on me is what I am trying to say. I better use mine up. ;)

Yesterday I opened my bottle of Kitten Nip after who knows how long, and I just have to say that it smells just gorgeous. Like, sexy gorgeous. I don't know what the hell happened to the ice cream sundae in it, but it has that Sparkle Fuchsia kind of sparkly smell to it now. Just for the record, I am not complaining!

I'm not sure what the phero did for me at work. I think it might require more testing. I like the possibilities though. It has workplace potential for my line of work.

KN has always smellsd like that to me.  I remember going back to look at the notes and thinking, ok this is my kind of foody scent. Its foody but not overwhelming.

Yep B2.2 will be around as long as Mara wants it to be. It’s our own slightly reworked made in house version of Diane’s B2 which is what was discontinued years back.

I am jealous of anyone who gets any help around the house. I get zero. I’m naturally bad at cleaning due to my ADHD and I now have a ton of other chronic health conditions That make it super hard. I get NO help which is bad enough but I also get shamed about it all the time so it’s become probably the biggest stressor in my life. I don’t get shamed every day or anything but I shame myself constantly so it gives me awful anxiety

I am Dyslexic and ADD (no H). I had to know and about 10 years ago I was diagnosed. My doctor said "Its really ashame because you're so smart and if there had been someone to diagnose you in school your life might be very different". (umm ok) It was both a relief and a bummer.

Halo, I had the same issue and its not completely gone. But, its better. I still get stressed/guilty over it. But, less so. Which ironically makes it easier to at least accomplish one task. I have a lot more control over the cleaning now.  I found some little tricks that help me too. It was easier for me when the kids got older. Its tougher when they are younger. And running the errands and wrangling the kids IS WORK. Its physical and mental. You're emotionally invested so it can get phyiscally exhausting. Add on health issues and something has to give. Everyone should pitch in and accept that.

I'd rather see a loving parent who spends time with the kids than a bitter,  emotionally abusive, clean freak.

@Eastwood22 that last bit is for you too.

Oh yes,  I used Fly Lady 18 years ago. B4 apps ;)

    The basic concept was/is helpful.

I have a variety of things I have absorbed over the years some helped others, not so much.

I think I'll put a housekeeping page in my journal. (tomorrow).

Stay happy ladies. My kids are both out of High School now. Trust me it goes by so fast.

I want to tell a cautionary Lace tale, for those of you who might already be considered bubbly or outgoing or simply "blonde."

Yesterday I wore Red Lace to work to up my energy level in the morning, as Friday morning is one of my biggest classes and it's also a bit of a social event for our little community. Class is at 9:30am, but we have coffee ready for anyone who wants to come early at 9am, and we have fresh baked cookies immediately following class thanks to our head resident mermaid/ pastry chef. There is laughter and joviality, but it's meant to center on yoga and not just coffee and cookies.

Now I take requests of poses and body parts that people need attention on for class, but my regulars know that I take musical requests as well. I did have a set list planned that included Blondie, the B-52's and Pat Benetar, but one of the first students there requested my "Wrecking Crew" mix. This means my mix I made when Hal Blaine died- look it up if you don't know, but you know his beats! My Hal Blaine mix is like 4 hours long, so I can just hunt and grab whatever, or put it on shuffle, or let it roll as I originally ordered it. But, now I'm in LACE! So we're talking Punk Panther theme, Mission Impossible theme, Hawaii Five-O and so on. There were a lot of requests for neck and shoulder relief, so I had them grab tennis balls for some floor pressure point work, not my normal morning behavior. Just to be clear, no one asked for feet work. BUT, Lace. I had them rolling their feet on tennis balls to The Carpenter's (they long to be) Close to You. And here's the best part, during the Laaaaaaaa- La- La-La Laaaaa's, I told them to imagine their toes were little Muppets, singing to them. Yup. I did that. Told my students to imagine that their toes were muppets, singing the back up vocals on Close to You.

In summary, I would NOT recommend Lace for divorce court. Unless the judge is a muppet.

I believe that that there is no original idea, we just act on our inspirations or we don't, that's why some of us get to do things first. Based on that, I googled it. I don't know if I've seen it before, but here it is-

I wish I could come take your class.

I'd love to be able to wear Red Lace to work or wherever. I love No. CA 😁

My classes are like black licorice, not for everyone! I'm sure some people hate me and hate my classes. That's okay. I'm not always open to "constructive criticism" when I haven't asked anyone for it. I've been told on several occasions that I should play "less abrasive" music, and I remind them that there are plenty of teachers that play no music and that I'm not the right teacher for everyone. If I were the only teacher around here I'd make sure it would work for everyone but you really cannot throw a rock in the SF Bay Area without hitting a yogi.

Exactly. So why would you do it cookie cutter. I'd think it would be better business wise to be yourself. People know to expect your style when they take the class.

  9. @Eggers

B2.2 Is still here. Plenty in the store.

AW Eggers I always love seeing you here. :)

Yes. I think thats right. Kitten Nip had an ice cream sunday thing. I love it because it is a tasty, pretty, creamy blend. But, its not overwhelming.

@Eastwood22I love a guy that cleans. I would not even mind if he reminded me to use a plate as long as he didn't harp on. lol

    Wow. Cleaning the walls.  Impressive.

I have a bottle of Kitten Nip here. It's funny you should mention it. I forgot that I had it, and thought it might make a pretty great scent/phero combo to help me gently keep the tourists "in line".   I honestly don't know why I don't wear MLH at work more often. I remember having worn it to work a few times a few years ago, and regardless of whether I was dealing with children or adults, it certainly does what it says on the tin!

Oh wow. Get that sucker out and put it to work. 😁

I feel like MLH is one of the more underappreciated blends. Maybe its the name? Though once you use it, you GET the name. It's a great phero for dealing with people and staying even and on task. The hits are always positive.

I carefully hoard whats left of my KN. I think I was the person to buy the last 2 bottles.  ;)

Ok. So I wore this to work last night, after @Eastwood22suggested I wear some Teddy BB 'cause I was feeling emotionally wrecked but still had to deal with people. I wore it with a little Ail's Voluptuous Vanilla boosted with cops (which I wear pretty regularly these days).

First off, I hadn't worn Howl in a while, so the first thing that struck me was how fabulous it smells! It's a really cozy feeling perfume. Totally fit the "warm blanket" feel that I was going for.

At work, the phero felt way nicer than I'd anticipated. It seemed to make all my customers want to chat. A lot. And I do mean A LOT. The chef kept hitting the bell behind me (to pick up hot food), but I couldn't find a suitable "out" to get myself out of the conversations people were so intent of having with me. 😅 They just kept gabbing and gabbing.

The other thing was the DIHLs I got! All night, and almost Cuddle Bunny level DIHLs! Cops- related, obviously. But so unexpected, especially as my eyes were dark and red-rimmed from crying earlier in the day.

I was in need of some silly boy humor to help keep my mood buoyed, and the phero definitely helped in that department too. I worked with all dudes last night and they were all in fine form, humor-wise. The regulars at the bar, who are normally pretty flirty/jokey with me were dishing out the best "boy humor". They kept a smile on my face.

All in all, Howl was a great choice for this situation, on all levels. Thanks @Eastwood22! 😉

I wear Teddy to work. It definately helps me chill out and hits are always favorable. If you like Teddy and you have it on hand try MLH you may like that as an extra option. What I wouldn't give for a rebrew of "Kitten Nip".

  12. I've sat at that table. I can definately see the appeal of SWS in that setting. But, for me it would be more appealing if I were the attorney. I dont get much in the way of selfies from it. But, good results at work for sure.  So bummed its gone (except for what may be left in the store). I have no idea what the poster has in stock.

But, I always wear LFM when I go to town hall for anything and to court twice. I think I put a review once on the LFM thread because I was so happy with the results. Good confident, happy selifies and good interactions with cops and clerks and an ADA. I am not saying I got everything exactly my way. But, it was still good. I don't usally recomend or review unless I have tested it for a long time.

If it were me I'd look at (if you have them) LFM, SWS, Mothers Little Helper, OW or like Snoop posted, Balm Bomb. If your nerves need to be settled to get business done.

If I were new to pheros that is probably the way I'd go.

It really depends on the user.

@halo0073 I get what you mean about SWS. No complaints. At least if it doesn't help, I won't hurt. It is magic at work.

    Hey StacyK.

I have never been too much into pink scents.  It is hard for me to find a fruit scent that my skin won't turn.

Wow.  I don't think I have ever heard of that - Lick of Pink.

That is great that both you and she got awesome hits from it.  :)

Lick Of Pink was pretty and very unique. Its from '12, maybe? It's a floral. Some Pinks come in floral. Another pretty pink (floral) sent was a PE,  Amanda's Sweet Pink Flowers. I had a little 1/6 bottle of it. I'd love a redux of it someday.

This is a nice fruity berry fragrance.  It turned a bit, but I got lots of flirty hits from this from men. I know this doesn't have cops so...but lots of guys thought I was pretty and told me so. :)

Its a super cheery pink scent. The vibe is accelerated by the "happy pheros".

Though I will tell you, I have had the "umm, you smell good" thing from men just wearing "virgin" pink scents.

BTW Nothing compares (pheros or not) to the reactions I got to "Lick Of Pink" from men. Seriously, Mara so nailed it there. No pheros required. You would have thought every bottle had a big dose of cops in it. I gave a bottle to my SIL and she had similliar experiences. She came to me mystified telling me about reactions she had. I told her yes, that one really gets male reactions. Maybe don't wear it to class. LOL
