  1. Well, it is just magic on me. That's the best way to describe it! I want to gather them all up in my arms (or actually, my shopping cart! haha)

I get a definite smokiness in the late dry down too.

I read the description again in the store listing, and even though the description on the forum does not mention patchouli, it says its there on the product page. Maybe it is a lesser percentage due to the other limited edition ingredients, or maybe the other ingredients keep the patch in it's place. Some fragrances with patchouli, such as Compromising Positions, become nothing but pure patch on my skin. I tried CP three times, because I like the initial application smell, and the patchouli amps sooo much it will wake me up at night, and there I am, at like 3 in the morning, scrubbing my arms!

    (Edited to correct syntax)

  2. Well, whether or not it does, if it is there, it is not gobbling up everything else! It passed the "overnight" test, and I promptly ordered two bottles :)

Mara would have to answer this; I don't know why it wouldn't - or didn't.

Well, whether or not it does, if it is there, it is not gobbling up everything else! It passed the "overnight" test, and I promptly ordered two bottles :)

(eta, Thanks Beccah, I still can't figure out how to use the multi-quote option. )

  3. Hey rose, you should let it settle from traveling and try it again later. Shake the crap out of it too. Maybe you'll have a different experience. I've learned this over the last couple of years.

Thank you :) I will. They're tucked away in the back of my drawer in the "revisit later" section.

  4. I know this is supposed to have the Love Potion base, but does anyone know if there is patchouli in it? It isn't listed in the description. I have a difficult time wearing patchouli, as well as honey...

BUT (!!!!!) I got a couple of samples of this at the beginning of the sale, and let them sit in my 'fumes drawer until tonight, because I had so much else going on. Tonight, after my shower. I am trying it out. And, it's now more than an hour into it, aand it is still BEAUTIFUL on me! Honey isn't doing anything weird. The patch if it is there, has not shown itself.

I'm not a spice amper, which is actually kind of a shame, because I like gourmand type spices. But it's all good here! Really loving it.

It's my first experience with Aja, and it's playing nicely too. I'm so excited ?

With Aja, it's still okay to get in a spray, right?

  5. Oh boo! This sounded like it would be right up my alley, and I got two samples in the sale. It smells great going on, but turns into a rose potpourri. I didn't see rose in the listed notes, although cheeseburger mentions it, so at least I'm not crazy. (Or if I am, still not imagining things lol.) The chocolate and coffee disappear within minutes of applying. I love cherry.chocolate scents, but, alas, this one does not love me back.

  6. I got this as a blind buy at the beginning of the sale. I had it converted to spray, and figured, what the heck, if I don't like it, I've always got the label to look at ha ha.

When it first arrived, I had so many other scents to try, and it didn't really speak to me, but it also was probably in travel shock. I broke it out a again a few days ago, and I really truly love it!

Generally speaking I don't wear florals, I love flowers, and am an avid flower gardener, but, commercial florals tend to turn into nasty scrubbers on my skin.

Highland Fling starts out with a blast of the buttercream vanilla, I catch a hint of the smokiness, and as time goes by the daffodil becomes more prominent. The funny thing, is I have some cut oriental lilies from the yard in a vase in my room right now. They're not stargazers, those things smell way too strong to stay in the house, these have more of an Easter Lily kind of scent, that very sweet, almost a bit of decay, yet still spicy scent to them, and Highland Fling almost echoes the scent. It smells very much like a lily on me. The dry down is sweet, and like others have said, it lasts and lasts! I could smell it on the crooks of my arms after I showered last night. It also is strong enough for me to enjoy smelling while I wear it.

So, I'm congratulating myself for taking the plunge and getting it, and if any of you are on the fence about it, I thought this review might help you decide. :)

  7. I'm bumping this up, because, as a newcomer, I have a hard time relocating threads like this that help with answers I have. I'll find it, then next time I want to refer to it, its nowhere to be found until search the correct way.

One link provided by Mara in this thread no longer works because of the main website being down (presumably that's why)

Anyway, I think this would be useful for others here as well

  8. I love this one. It doesn't do anything weird after it dries down either. I wish it had more projection and longevity, but I'm still considering getting a full bottle while it is still available.

When I originally applied it early yesterday evening, even though I loved it, it seemed like it was gone in a matter of minutes. But, I'd liked it so much I applied a generous amount on the inside of one arm before going to bed last night And it still seemed as if it totally vanished in no time flat. But, after being awakened due to the next door neighbor's dogs' barking (incessantly!) I was laying there miserable, but, I kept smelling this wonderful comforting smell, and I realized it was the Just Desserts. So, it may stay close to the skin, but it seems like it makes encore appearances after first application. I could smell it after four hours had passed, but not longer than six. It makes me wonder if I got it converted to spray form, if it would have more silage.

My skin is not the most friendly to many perfume notes. It amps honey, and not only amps some kinds of patchouli, but oftentimes devours everything else but the patchouli! With almond/amaretto type scents, often that note vanishes in minutes. And, even though the almond pretty much stayed in the very background after the beginning few minutes, the buttercream stayed true and did not turn plasticy.

    ETA continuity.

  9. Don't write off all LP honeys just yet. Look out for one called Spring Honey. Or light spring honey maybe. It's still delicious and decidedly honey but it does not go smutty at all. If you ever can get ahold of Honey Whipped, I bet you'd like that one

Thank You Halo, I will. It helps to know which type to be on the lookout for :)

  10. This was the first bottle I tested from my order that arrived today. It was LOVE as in I wanted a gallon of it type love... until the dry down where the patchouli became very prominent. I loved everything about it until then. The opening was practically beyond words delicious. Just the perfect amount of spice and sweetness. If your skin doesn't do terrible things with patchouli, don't miss out on it.

  11. I intercepted my mailman too. And the dog (who is "coned" at the moment, and looks beyond silly) is barking at him like crazy - Who knows why - and the mailman won't walk all the way up to the door because he's afraid of the dog (really? a 35 pound fuzzy Schnoodle with a blue cone on his head?) but, anyway there I am, trying to get him to give me the box without everyone else in the house coming to see what the commotion is all about.

I've got 'em all in my hands, and have gone through every last one with glee! Out of the 17 scents I tried, I've only got one that is a for sure "No", a couple of other maybes, and a whole lot of "I Need Mores"

  12. So far the only OCCO I've gone full bottle on is OCCO white. I've found that I still need to let it dry down before adding another fragrance on top, or the OCCO rises to the forefront. Not so much a bleed through of the cops, just the occo fragrance.

I also have, and really like, Blushing Milkmaid. The two are not that similar though, even though they're both categorized as a vanilla, especially the longer thy're on my skin.

When I've done a comparison with OCCO White on the crook of one arm, and Blushing Milkmaid on the other, the OCCO dries down to a powdery sweet vanilla in comparison to the definite buttercream in the BMM. I've got OCCO Pink and OCCO Ambrosia on the way :)

The OCCO SLF did not work for me.

  13. Every time I get this notification I become almost giddy with anticipation! I have to stop myself from obsessively checking the tracking number link for updates. And, THIS time, will all of the goodies coming from the sale - plus the fact there should still be time to order more of some I like, before the sale is over! (and if I can stop taking the dog to the vet so I have some LPMP shopping money...) Hoping it makes it Saturday. I have plans for trying some of them out on "The Unsuspecting Man" ;)

  14. Does it matter if it specifically increases the blood flow by a certain amount? I can see where that would be especially useful in cases of ED, etc., but I think that there are many instances on this forum of women stating how cops helps in that department a great deal.

There is SOOOOO much we DON'T know...that is why I seek this stuff out. I like SOLID proof. But even with studies, it is a small sampling. We have such a wide variety of ladies/men/circumstances here that this board is SUPER educational. I wish we had MORE people sharing so we could start to see if there are connections between personalities, traits, medical issues, etc. I wish we could all sit down and have a round table discussion in DEPTH and just take notes.

But what I DO KNOW is that the pheros work. I just want to know more about the factors that influence them....and gender is obviously a big one. But what we CAN learn from studies is patterns...and that gives us better knowledge to start our own experiments with. :)

I just ordered some sugared lavendar and sugared pie spices...I am going to see how they smell together... it sounds weird, but I thought the sugared part would help. I have mixed lavender and vanilla before and didn't like it.

    Anyhoo...thanks for that article.

I agree. When I think about it, it seems like if the scent of lavender/pumpkin pie increased men's attraction or improved perception toward woman, such as pheromones do, then there would be studies that show this.

  15. I found this one study, which may have been already talked about on the forum, but I didn't see it in my reading.

..."As further evidence of pheromones’ existence, male college students were asked to rate pictures of women while wearing masks either with no odor or with a postulated female pheromone (androsterone). The men with postulated female pheromone in their masks described the women as appearing friendlier and prettier than did those wearing unodorized masks" . Kirk-Smith MD, Booth DA, Carroll D, Davies P. Human social attitudes affected by androstenol. Res Commun Psychol Psychiatr Behav 1978; 3:379-384

This (above) is a small mention in a larger article on how certain smells affect male arousal.

    http://aanos.org/human-male-sexual-response-to-olfactory-stimuli/

So, this is where my questions come in. The article lists scents that are proven to increase blood flow to the penis in all men who participated in the study. The winner by far was a blend of lavender with pumpkin pie. (Median increase 40%)

For those of you who have a good handle on the effects of pheromones, and copulins, how much weight should this finding have have overall, in the big picture of male sexual attraction, and male sexual arousal?

I actually love spicy pumpkin scents, not so much the lavender part, but it can be okay, However, I don't want to think every time I have seduction on my mind (heh heh) that to come out with all the big guns, I'll need to choose a fragrance that had this combo.

  16. A funny (at least to me) update :)

So, I thought... Maybe if I layer something strong and spicy over this, I'll be able to wear it. And I dabbed a tiny amount onto the crooks of my arms, let it dry, and put on a whopping amount of a spiced rum cake fragrance (from an Etsy shop) At first I thought I nailed it. It was a great combo. But, in less than a couple of hours, the OCCO SLF ate straight through the spiced rum cake, and did its honey amping thing. But, worse yet, I was detecting another odor that was really unappealing. And THAT got louder and louder, and, I'm like Good Grief! its morphing into smelling like self tanner now!

And then I remembered. I'd slathered the St Tropez (which really doesn't smell as bad as some self tanners) on my legs this morning.

Sadly, I still don't think I'm going to be able to wear it though. However, I've got OCCO Pink on order, will give it a test drive next!

  17. Welcome Kayla,

I'm super new too :) And found LPMP via Amazon as well. I was searching for unscented pheromones. Yes, there is so much information here, a lot to take in. It didn't take long for me to get hooked on the scented fragrances as well as learning about pheros.

  18. Honey can be weird on me too, but sometimes it works out really well. There's probably a lot of different kinds of honey, so don't give up rose! I can't do SLF either, but Stacy's Lady Luck and Honeyed LP work really well on me, so I think "bright" honey is okay for me.

I'll keep that in mind. Every time I've written off Creamed Honey, coincidentally I'll get another one as a free sample sized gift with an order, and I'll think, maybe I was wrong about this one.....But. No.

I've not tried Honeyed LP yet. *adding to my "to try" list.

  19. I am envious of those who can wear this! I got a sample with such high hopes, but, honey just does not play nice with my chemistry. I amp honey like there is no tomorrow. The same thing as Creamed Honey and Sugared Honeycomb which I adore when first applied, happens with this one too. If I could get it to stay exactly how it smells when first applied, it would be a home run! It has phenomenal silage.

It really does last a long time! Like as in through showering before bed, it is still lingering the next day. (Big sigh) It has a cool name - so cool that I had to try it, even though I'm well acquainted with what honey does on my skin. I don't think it is meant for me.
