  1. Probably my favorite scent ever on a man is the now long-lost Tino Cosma: top notes of bergamot, lavender & sage, middle notes of nutmeg, galbanum, ylang-ylang, base notes of sandalwood, cedar & musk. Lots of classic in there right? It was basically the perfect men's scent IMO.

  2. had to bump this because I am loving it sooooo much right now. On me it starts out with that tea-like light honeyness, and over the day it morphs into warmer, more sugar-sweet and faintly fruity... like LP Original-lite. PERFECT FOR SUMMER. I r in luv

  3. Oh, how I love this thread... hm, at the moment, I am most grateful for:

    1- G&L

    2- Gothic Latte

    3- LP Silver

    4- Whoopsy Daisycake

    5- unCB

  4. As you've probably read in other threads/elsewhere -- even when not dried down, at least in my experience, -- my straight male friends inexplicably do not seem to object to the odor at all (proving once for all that they're dogs - you know how dogs are all "the grosser, the better!!!" :() - if anything it seems to ... entertain them even MORE when wet (this just keeps sounding worse and worse). Meanwhile my female friends run away screaming, and my gay male friends just completely ignore me, like won't even say hello. It's very very interesting.

  5. according to my LPMP chart, it has passed through my hands, but the only note I wrote was "just not me", which means that it was probably very resiny on me :D and it probably was NOT berryish or I would have made a note about it having gone plastic on me. Sorry my memory/notes can't be more help.

  6. Piles of huge white flowers. Classically beautiful, very grownup, luxe -- ie totally not me:) but it's fun to pretend!

This is what one must put on just before leaving the house when one is done with gown, hair & makeup and is on one's way downtown to be handed the Academy Award for Best Actress.

  7. WHY WON'T ANYONE STOP ME AUGH

Just ordered beta unLACE 60/40; cops-boosted bottles of Man Nip, Mellonia's Secret (I can't believe there's any left - freaking gorgeous - one of my favorite LPMP drydown morph experiences to date) and AVV (current description bears zero resemblance to my experience of the original [waxy plastic city]); and a sample of the tantalizing-sounding Black Candy. as well as fae lotus...and trying to talk myself out of dagmar's VFA and Yin Ylang........ AUUUUGGGH

  8. Hm, maybe it's because I test with only the teensiest of stingy swipes, but my main impression of this is extreme fluffy vanilla frosting sweetness. I'm huffing in vain for any trace of anise (which I hate in food but intrigues me as a note amid such white sweetness). So far it's only reminded me of Pie in the Sky and Halo's Angelique...

  9. I would never have expected it, but on me at least this is another that feels like it would do great commercially - clean, brisk, serious but not dour, very professional and no-nonsense. Does not strike me as overtly/overly sexy for the office, and does not come off foody at all (to my surprise considering the notes).

For some reason this scent keeps evoking for me the (original) Burberry plaid - it smells like those colors, that design and their general 'feel'.
