  1. Usually "unisex" things feel 100% masculine on me, or at least too much so for my taste. But this is the latest of A few recent "unisex" or "men's" scents that has not felt that way and if anything, in this case, especially wet, it's strongly feminine on me. It's a thick taffy-like white coconutty vanilla musk laced with floral, that made me groan loudly and incoherently. I kept thinking this is what Masked Man would be if it weren't just a shade too masculine on me. In later dry down it does smell watery in a pale bright aquamarine way. Drastic morph! Also this confirms I'm a hedione ho as I COULD NOT keep my nose out of the application spots. I CRAVED smelling it the way you crave a cigarette. I was at all times either smelling it or thinking about smelling it. ETA a thing about hedione that I've noticed with both Moist and H2O is that I get this initial flush of warmth that is just barely not quite actually physical- hard to describe. Like imagine infatuation-butterflies without the fluttery part. Also I thought I was imagining it with my first trial (Moist) but it happened again with H2O: it seems to make me relaxed and confident - not in an "I can do this" way but a "general self-esteem" way. More like self-acceptance maybe. Gonna keep looking out for this effect in future trials.
  2. LOVE the scent - unabashedly sexy beach bunny - and it conveys somehow, specifically, a blazing sunny beach day that is silent and still, with no wind - SO atmospheric! A bit of plasticky threatened to peek out now and then - can't figure out what from the notes
  3. sooooooooooooo preeeeeeeettttyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy I can't keep my nose out of my elbow crook. Addictive in a way that has to be the hedione and/or the musk, as jasmine isn't my favorite. Not kidding literally can't stop. It throws suprisingly less than expected, relative to how much I put on. Now to go wave it in other people's faces to check effects
  4. Reminded me of fairy massacre - that honeysuckle rose combo, must be! - but this is juicier and despite the notes feels les green to me. This is positively syrupy. I want to pour it into some gin over ice and set a spell out on the back porch
  5. As usual I am trying everything without checking back to refresh memory as to notes. Wet, I said to myself, "there is something in this I do not like" - now I see it is the Aja probably, as I have never really gotten the hang of it. I tried and failed to identify the floral (I guessed night blooming jasmine, which I'm not a fan of). But, in later drydown, it is getting soft, creamy, and sweeter, and melding with my skin and doing that "oh I just woke up smelling like this naturally" thing. It has a luxuriant and very very upscale air.

    Kissed by the Sun

I tried this by itself, resisting comparing side by side with berry patch because of the aging difference. It is tarter than I recall berry patch being when it was new. Where berry patch felt equally yellow and purple, this tipped more purple when wet. As it dried down the tartness backed off and the coconut came singing out, and was sweeter than I remember berry patch's being. It felt very summery on me, which was a surprise!
  7. @Mara - I know there aren't any left but just idle curiosity - Nevyn Scent sounds like it could actually be unisex? Sort of like GLynne's Journey (?) of the Goddess that had chocolate & that gorgeous fuzzy cream-velvet sandalwood?
  8. IRL they smell ammmmmaaaaazzzzziing. My favorite real life floral scent next to freesia. I realize this is The Most Useful Review Ever Written. I will be waiting patiently by the front door for the prizemobile.
  9. My reservations stand plus white cobra plz!!! Thank you!!
  10. black pepper has been an unhealthy-level obsession since I was a kid, yes Christine? CHRISTINE??
  11. I wonder if Christine's Sweet and Spicy is (1) by Christine of Christine's Tropical Musk et al. and/or (2) based on the Good Earth "sweet and spicy" tea that one of you forumites (I think Bella? Sorry to whoever sent for my forgetting) kindly sent me a freebie of and got me hooked on ... if so, GODDAMMIT
  12. May I reserve bottles of Lina pancake, lv black cobra, and Amanda raspberry roon please!
  13. This is my favorite face scrub that I've ever tried. It is far more sugary than oily - when you open it, it looks like brown sugar, you know, very slightly wet? - but when you put it on, all the gentle exfoliating goodness is accompanied by more pampering oiliness than you would expect from looking at it. I do not keep "accidentally" getting it into my mouth, but if I did, I would report that it tastes FANTASTIC and it is all I can do not to plunge my head into the jar face first like in a pie eating contest.
  14. So Mara suggested this as replacement for the Nom Butterstuff I can never shut up about. The main differences are that this has more slip and more intense scent (esp as compared to the edible cake butterstuff, in both regards). It is great for massage The scent is vacationy and dreamy and very relaxing. Like the previous butterstuff - my fretful face LOOOOVES it, I use it on my lips, and it calms the allergic dermatitis (?) on my arms as well as the gross rx chemical that was previously the only thing that worked on it.
  15. Summer Crush is obviously lobster roll (lobster, a buttered roll, a shake of old bay. and coleslaw) plus corn on the cob
  16. another vote for focus phero...and TAKE BREAKS!!!!!!!!!! so jealous you're going to plitvice. One of the couple of most beautiful places I've ever seen

    Special Delivery

I had never tried the second one, being well-stocked in the first. I'm getting to try it now thanks to a freebie from phergineer. And I am very glad, as it's quite different on me. This is cherry flavored milk chocolate where is the original one was milk-chocolate-covered cherries. It's an incredibly true "melted in the summer heat" milk chocolate, with only occasional fleeting glimpses of black cherry. I assume this is long gone but if someone foisted a bottle at me I would sure not turn it down.
  19. Wet, it was VERY twinkie-filling. Dry, it is all coconut all the time on me, which I love of course. It is fading fast, but so is the Lina's Woodland Romance that is slathered everywhere else, so my skin is probably parched. I like it 100x better than the previous sugared cream bottle I received in a trade years ago.
  20. loooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeee thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis I think this could swing unisex and yet is soooooooooooo pretty - the label is beyond perfectly matched to the scent. It's cool air and shadows and silence. The green musk smells to me like the one in Lucky in Love. I'm going to slather on every inch for bedtime and I expect to have mysterious, sweet and arthurian dreams.

    Looking Glass

I put this on today in hopes the mint would feel refreshing on this hot humid day. Funnily the mint vanished before it was even dry, but the remaining anise-vanilla-musk was splendid and lasted for HOURS. At least in today's wearing that study about licorice smell being appealing to men did seem to be borne out as I got pheromone-type double takes and staring and such everywhere I went- I'd say the effect was most like LFM.
