I've never gone through a bottle as quickly as I have this one, and I don't think I've ever bought multiple bottles of a scent in one shot before, as I just did with this. It is as always fascinating how it plays so differently with everyone's chemistry and even across time - it is no longer quiet on me - now it is very present, insistent, and full-bodied - it even throws a fair amount. I get a fair amount of lavender, and StacyK, it is quite powdery on me too. It is so wonderfully balanced. If i could buy a gallon sprayer of this and soak my bed sheets and comforter with it that would be heaven.
  2. Goddammit please reserve me a blackcat afternoon delight. Thank you. Bank account weeps
  3. had terrible dreams so upon waking OW seemed necessary. Somehow the only OW I could find was a sample of Stealing Windows *feels panic, plans next order* I wore a teeny bit more than I would normally wear. I felt alert and uplifted. About 3 hours later I figured it had mostly worn off, but went to a meeting where the people are usually sort of stiff and awkward and self-conscious. Not today! People were happy, almost giddy, relaxed, chatty, and quasi-flirtatious. THANKS OW!!
  4. On me this reminded me first of New - soooo powdery smooth - and I mostly don't like sandalwood and I recognize that almost metallic-ish type from Sand Witch that really disagrees with me - but it's unique in that it's smothered with an unabashed foodiness -- dense, chewy, intense, candy-sweet coconut -- that makes it wonderful and wearable for me. I compulsively huff it. It doesn't last too long on me but I love it while it's there.
  5. oh, that gorgeous starfruit punch that looked like a Van Gogh....sigh, imaginary slurp. And these balls did look succulent YAY I will keep my petit 4.2 reservation, thank you!
  6. I thought the BALLS BALLS BALLS was another PE you were describing )) Assuming Petit 4.2 is a virgin PFYT rebrew or similar, I would like to reserve one please and thank you.

This did not agree with me at all at the beginning - I amp orange blossom, which I don't like, so it was doomed. Many hours in, the OB calmed down and it all turned into a creamy smooth purring kind of thing. The teak really adds a timeless quality. Will try again and see if aging brings out some of the other notes sooner.

The gloriousness of this scent goes without saying it is a sweet pillowy dream - The lavender is an extremely tame, mild flavoring, with no herbal bite. It is extremely soft I have to really slather. But the bonus -- without fail, on the nights that I have worn it to bed, I have fallen asleep instantly, and slept deeply and without interruption. It happens with this every time, and doesn't happen when I don't wear it. In fact it is so effective that it is really hard to get out of bed in the morning! I can never be without this not just for normal use, but look forward to using it to fight jetlag when traveling.
  9. Very different in the vial versus on the skin for me. In the vial it seems feminine, springlike. On my skin it is fresh, expensive soap. Absolutely unisex - would be a very fine daytime scent for a man - a well-dressed, erudite one It is uplifting and energizing, and yet calming somehow maybe reassuring or confidence-boosting are better words for it. I would want to wear something like this if I were taking an important test, for example. It fairly screams for a Focus boost.
  10. sorry! I emailed to ask for an invoice for a PE-itties sampler ... I think it's already on the way to me...

    Evil in Carnation

I only ever had a sample of this and use extremely rarely and sparingly....an all time favorite...just thinking about it makes me feel badass. Gotta try to do a PE based on it one day....
  12. Unisex things generally tend to be a bit too masculine for my chemistry / taste, and sandalwood is iffy for me, but this was instant lust. Both in that I fell in instant lust with it on my skin -- The carnation reminds me of Flora Royale, and my skin loves it, its clean, self-assured, upscale vibe -- but as some blends unexpectedly do, it really activates the Launch Sequence.
  13. what a nice idea, the sampler! Please feel better soon
  14. Thank you Mara for the excessively generous compensation for my leaky cherry divinity!! Xoxo
  15. You had me at "luscious cherry oils." wet this is a chocolate cherry divinity. As it dries I get a lot of maple, very goopy and true. Then a chewy blond amber. I know! It must be the maple and chocolate somehow creating that illusion. This fairly screams for a BANG! boost. Once again a glorious LV concept & drool-inducing Mara execution.
  16. RESERVING A VIRGIN COMP POS PLEASE IF ALLOWED AT THIS TIME!
  17. This is not AT ALL what I expected. I expected a Demeter (in straightforwardness and simplicity, not quality)-type experience, a strong black tea with three lumps of sugar, full stop. It's the opposite. It's multidimensional and even mysterious. Wet, sure, I got a blast of tea, but it is refined and sophisticated, fancy-hotel, and somehow thick, full, and rounded. This is delightful, but then it becomes rapidly and drastically more delightful as it dries. It gets richer. It just keeps blooming and blooming, and getting bigger and bigger. It seems to pick up additional notes somehow. I don't QUITE exactly actually smell these additional notes, but nearly so, and somehow their "feel" is very present, thickening and enriching: bourbon vanilla, a taffy-chewy amber, warm library-panel woods, even fruits like lychee and pineapple. It smells expensive. The late drydown is simply incredible. It's complex and throws more than ever. It's like a virtuosic cadenza at the end of the last movement of a concerto - you didn't think it could get any better but then: fireworks. I got more compliments on this in a few hours than anything else I can recall. For a couple of the women I asked them to guess who made it or what was in it. Neither accurately identified notes (they both guessed sandalwood), but one guessed Annick Goutal and the other Le Labo. So that gives you an idea of the mood and sensibility it gives off. As with so many other Sugareds, for me this has no need to be layered with anything else. I didn't fully appreciate its amazingness until I tried it alone. No one should ever be without this
  18. Finally got this. Swooned. Like someone made syrup of a truckload of peonies in the most glorious peak bloom. I want to drink it (surprise). Dare I say- it doesn't smell like the real thing - it smells BETTER - like, the Platonic ideal of a peony - and I am a HUGE peony fan - this may ruin actual peonies for me. I don't want to layer this with anything. I want to just smell like this all the time. I want to buy a twenty gallon industrial sprayer of this and keep my home drenched in the scent 24/7
  19. Went on a small spree with Mara's generous sale and finally got this. Beautiful warm golden glowing and quite insistently fruity on me - like a tropical fruit - like if pear were a creamy tropical fruit. It also reminds me of oak moss. While wet, it occasionally shook its fist at me like "YOU! I MIGHT DECIDE TO GO PLASTICKY ON YOU - YOU BETTER WATCH IT" but never fully did. Looking forward to experimenting with layering it with something like AVV or Amazonian zee.
  20. The headache is textbook OD (for me, with alpha-nol; may be different for you). Two swipes is not necessarily a small amount. These pheros are potent...not watered down etc. When I first tried LFM, ONE swipe, very light, like a molecule, was too much for me! not anymore, as I've gotten used to it, but especially as you are just starting, try one swipe. like so little you can barely tell you are even putting it on. And work up from there as others have said. ETA to bluebear's point ... I don't think people generally get headaches from cops, so if it was from cops, the headache was probably due to some other cause
  21. You've already gotten great advice, so I'll only add one thing: how old are you? To generalize, the younger you are, the likelier you are to overdo it. The day you had spilled TH and cops on you (I mean in the sense of with you, in your bag), it wouldn't have been surprising if people ran away from you waving their arms and screaming. It's called "ghosting" if you haven't run across the term yet - too much phero makes people ignore you and avoid you and make you feel invisible.
  22. Hey, welcome! Lace was first to my mind as well. Me four w/a recommendation to play around with the amount of Gotcha. Less is more with many if not most of these blends.
  23. sounds fabolos! "pherotine" aww lol very cute. great questions qg... I stand by breathlessly for answers
  24. well, if you insist, please kindly send me a replacement top for my cherry div bottle, w/my next order (soon). I don't need a new label...thank you!!! xo
  25. Definitely a "make your eyes roll back in the head" scent. Showstopper. It already so velvety smooth and blended, such a satiny purée of notes, that in blind test I COULD NOT NAME ONE NOTE, not even the sugar, other than to think "something floral" (I wildly guessed hydrangea and jasmine...not even close). I just kept thinking "powdery" and seeing Marilyn Monroe in furs and diamonds. It's incredible
