  1. Righty

I now have a combo of CitriShine and New Year's Evil on one forearm and CitriShine and Egg on the other (just a swipe of each).

Normally my skin scoffs N Y E within an hour and EGG does pretty much nothing. I can smell the Egg at the moment :) and the NYE smells divine (but I am biased) let's see if it lasts. :)

  2. Darbla, I tried unscented lotion (I also make my own lotions so I always have unscented stuff on hand JIC). It seems to work a pretty well with EGG, whose scent I love but also is a fast fader. Hmmm...3 hours now and so far so good.

For that matter, there is a product called "Citra-Shine" available in hair care section at most drugstores...it is dimethicone, and would work much the same way as D5 in a pinch. Most detanglers, shine additives for hair contain some form of silicone. I use them for my horse's manes, and as blister preventatives under saddles...

    A-ha... Thanks Pony!!

    I have some of this....

    *May dashes off too experiment...*

  3. Just a mo'

Did Dolly say this is the stuff that is used as the base for "dry oil" sprays?

Er... Mara, Danna? LP Dry Oil Body Sprays? with the perfumes?

Is that impossible or horrendously expensive, if there was a demand would it be do-able?

  4. Both are excellent! And, I find them to be very potent, as well.....

I'm have to have a bottle of the Super Sexy fragrance, I don't care what the perfume is! I love the Cuddle Bunny for the smell. It's not a phero blend I would particularly go, purpose wise, for but I love that clean smell...

  5. My honey couldn't control himself with the SS and Dark Seductions......this weekend, I may apply a couple drops of EoW with the DS/SS combo, just to see what sparks fly.....teehee....

Please do Dolly. I'd be interested to see if adding the cops was positive, negative or neutral. :) I'd be very grateful.

  6. Dang! On second wearing... can't wear it! My chemistry amps the patch (I hate strong patch). The patch clobbers the amber to death. :)

Oh no! I'm sorry. :) It's amazing how skin chemistry can change perfumes. I can't even detect the patch, on me I get cinnamon and amber - I am beginning to wonder if I amp cinnamon...

  7. You would choose based on your own objectives......super sexy, well, is self-explanatory.......cougar is hot and sexy and attracts.....drop your guard should ease tensions, relax people, and encourage chattiness and good feelings......it's your choice, hun.....

Have you tried the Cougar pheros in the Cougar grapefruit perfume Liz?

I love Cougar can't wait to try the Super Sexy though!

  8. I've layered it with Dark Seductions and Robin and Marian (both with and without Sugared Honeycomb). Also, I tried it with LP Red, Black, White, and Pink (in four different parts of my anatomy). On my skin, the grapefruit amps up quite a bit upon initial application, then it backs down and the musk comes to the forefront. The grapefruit is still noticable, but it is as an undertone. So, like that, with the musk and other notes, it blends well with the florals and even the LPs on me.

Oh, my gosh... I just realized... when Cougar was being brewed/pre-release, Mara commented:

and I responded that I would love the potion to smell even 1/10 as gorgeous on my skin as it did on hers...

and I get that same type of "cloudy, musky, sugary vibe..." YAY!

As I try it with other scents, I will let you know :)

    Hi Artemesia,

I get the same as Chai and Mara. The grapefruit really fades back, it's still there but only just and I can easily use other perfumes with it without it clashing.

  9. :)

Hmm. Maybe I should try it after all. I have such lovely memories of violets.

I think the notes on this blend really well. Apparently it has lavender and I *bleargh* lavender. Can I detect it in this, can I cocoa! :)

It's more like these it's a sweet purple smell rather than the smell of dark violets.

  10. I agree, Chai.....my honey hasn't requested that I just wear one or two scents, but there are 3 that he is really partial to (Dark Seductions, Dirty Sexy, and Nasty Habits). So, I normally try to wear one of those around him.

But, on the days when I am not with him, I can go with my whims and whatever type of mood I am in.....it makes those days when we're not together a bit more tolerable.....

I've noticed that Cougar makes me feel great. Dead chirpy in fact, I think I may have to wear that one a lot more.

  11. Very well! I do not have the Pheonix one.. I heard that one doesn't have enough holes.

I have the Dee alchemical symbol one, and my fave, the Beardsley Salome kissing the head of John the Baptist. LOT's of compliments, on that one! They are the micest scent lockets I could find, and disseminate the scent BEAUTIFULLY!

    Thank you! :)

I wondered if it might help me with perfumes I love but my skin devours!

  12. Heh. I think you mean Salomewilde.

I haven't tried this one. The vanilla scared me away. :)

OOPs! :) Really, sorry both, my head is a bit fritzed at the moment and I am a bit dense at the best of times! The perfume is sweet and violet. I wouldn't say it was particularly vanilla-like but it reminds me a bit of some sweets we used to have over here called Parma Violets. They also had a fizzy effect and tasted and smelled of violets. The perfume is a lot classier and much more elegant but it smells of the same colour and texture - if you know what I mean? ;)

  13. AH! I just now remembered my long-neglected BPAL scent lockets!

    Hmmm :)

Pythoness? Tell me more about these scent lockets... Do they work well for you? It's something we have discussed here before...

  14. :)

Oh, you guys - don't feel bad or anything. It's really the multiple $5 and $10 dollar orders that we're trying to discourage. Some people order like that several times per day or over a two or three day period. PayPal takes such a huge bite out of those little sales that it eats up what we've allotted for boxes, baggies, free shipping, free samples, tissue paper and organza pouches!

    Hey Mara,

I have a question about the sale, I've sent you an email. :)

  15. I was thinking of packaging the CPS (D5) in a larger bottle than the little roll-ons. Like two ounce bottles, as you can just slather the base, then roll on the perfume on top. What think you? I can always offer an empty roll-bottle along with it for ease of use if that's what everyone prefers.

I was talking to Mr. Pharmacom about this today, and he agreed that this base should extend the scent of both pheros and perfume on the skin as it doesn't allow the skin to absorb it. He also mentioned that the 96% CPS is considered "industrial grade", whereas we purchased the highest grade; and the industrial grade has a lower flashpoint. (We prefer to keep our products at a very high flashpoint so they are airmail safe, so that's good to hear.)

I think that sounds fab! :)

  16. "Violet, Lavender, Purple Berries, Ethereal indigo Musk, sexy Resins and luscious Vanilla."

My first question: is this a substitute for the exquisite Dark Seductions?

My answer: Possibly! It's sweeter. It's got those juicy, ripe LP berries on top. Black cherry?

Violet (ahhh) with musk (and resin) swell beneath, like a more playful, younger Dark Seductions.

This disappeared on me rather quickly, but she died sublimely, leaving a pale shadow of creamy lavendar.

I loved this one too, it has a fizzy, bubbly undertone that I adore. But, like Scourger, it was a little fickle and left me quite quickly. Otherwise this could have been a much more lasting relationship! :(

  17. Oh, me too :( ! In fact, just last night I had to send an emergency email asking them to "Hold my order, please!" because my synagogue may want to order a vial of Hamantashen. I think the ladies have already realized this about me... and, so, out of respect and consideration for my "Oh, wait, I want one more.." tendencies and my desire to not encumber them with additional shipping, I would prefer they set aside my order for a day just in case. I really am trying to work on this issue (part of the addiction, I think) so that they won't have the additional paypal fees :(

I think I am guilty the other way. I tend to wait too long to make an order and put everything together. It's not me being saintly though, it's just trying to save on international shipping. It's a lot cheaper to make just one order if ordering from outside the US.

  18. May, since I am going to be sending you some soap and such in a bit, would you like for me to send you a bit of cyclo with it? That way, you could see if it works for you.

Dolly, it would be fantastic if you could... :(

My skin eats a lot of the perfumes here, so it would be great to find something that worked for that.

  19. Yes, those roll-ons exactly. I like the convenience of the already diluted formulations and the versatility of being able to layer them with any scent I desire... so I'm not limited to only those I have with the add-ins nor am I constrained to wear the pheromones when I want to wear a particular scent (i.e., since I don't have the pheromones inside the scent, I can choose to wear the scent with or without pheromones).

I have tried Drop Your Guard, and I would think it would be appropriate for business environments. I don't, however, use it in the classroom as the 'nols tend to make my students too chatty. Not very conducive to teaching, especially when they are already dealing with impulse control issues and distractiblity.

On the other hand, Super Sexy does not contain any cops... so it just adds a bit of Omph to your perfume, kind of like a "glamour" spell in a bottle.

Dolly also made a perfect suggestion about simply using the D5 alone, just in a rollon bottle all by itself. That would provide the "insulation" between your skin and the scent, making it harder for the scent molecules to be absorbed into your skin. You might consider asking Mara if she can sell you a bottle of D5 by itself, or if she can point you in the right direction to obtain some.

I'd be interested in trying straight D5 too, to see if it stops my skin eating all those yummy perfumes like Wishcraft and New Year's Evil...

  20. Hi Everyone - I am Neve (pronounced "Nevi") which means snow in portuguese. I am a throwover from the PheroTalk forum. I mostly lurk and don't post that much. I'm pretty familiar with seeing Dolly, May, Carrie, Tisha etc. from there...

I am a super perfectionist about any type of product I use. always looking for the best secret anything...secret perfume, soap, toothpaste, beauty products etc. So glad I found out about Love Potion.

I am 33 and live in NYC, other interests include health, nutrition, spirituality, etc. I'm so looking forward to tyring your pherogirl line as well as everything else :)

    Hi Neve!

Welcome to the forums! You already know a few of us here from the "other place". You are going to LOVE some of those PheroGirl blends. I got a date and hits the first time I wore Dominance AND - good as the PheroTalk Pheros are - the pheros here come in a much wider and more multi-layered range of fragrances! :);)

    Hugs!
