  1. This is fascinating! I don't smell fig, I don't smell frankincense or myrrh, I SMELL PINA COLADAS! Coconut and pinapple! It's drying down some now so I'm starting to get the incensy smell - very light - lub the scent! I've never smelled Banyan fruit so I guess my nose is interpreting it as pina coladas!
  2. Ravenwing, I didn't find it overly sweet, or very spicy. It's just a smidgen of each, with coconut and cream and vanilla. Just enough sugar and spice to make the other scents POP. You know, like a dusting of nutmeg on your cappucino.
  3. TY Mara! I realized the evening they arrived that I had forgotten the SLC! Hold one'a dem bottles for me and I'll probably be ordering some more stuff soon. I'm thinking it's time for bath & body products. And if it's not too late, I did want the cops...
  4. Somehow or other I forgot to check about the rebrew of this for my last order. Does anyone know if Mara's rebrewed it yet?
  5. Raq, I refreshed my page while I was on the message board the other day and everybody's avis refreshed too. You have an AWESOME avi and you da lady! I never looked that ripped even in my top bodybuilding days. And of course now I can never expose my belly anymore. You look fantastic. Now back to your regularly scheduled reviews.
  6. OK I can't find the thread for Pillow Stuffing but my package came last night and I tried it last night. Because of course I had insomnia. My first impression from the bottle was "guy scent." When I put it on, it became more androgynous. I dabbed some on my throat and a teeny little dot right under my nose, above my upper lip. I can tell there's lavender in there, probably a couple different kinds (I know that English and French lavenders smell different). Other things too. Very soothing, very comforting. Konked out in no time. Slept well, got up early, feeling well rested and in a good mood. This stuff's going on my regular list, man.
  7. My package came in last night! WOOOOOOOT! This morning, A Lick of Cream. OMG it smells so much like my mom's fresh-coconut cake it's unreal! With all the butter and cream and coconut and coconut milk, and a *touch* of spice to make it ZING! Nomnomnomnom! I didn't apply enough so I have to go apply some more... *EG*
  8. I wouldn't say that I prefer dominant men, or that I'm NOT dominant when I want to be. My husband and I have a definite partnership of equals. But like Halo I'm pretty laid back in general (unless you hit a hot button for me), and so if I don't have it "turned on," I can blend into the background. Which is good at times, not good at all at others. And I have always been something of a tomboy. Do not give me ruffles, especially lace ruffles. I will wear lace (the fabric not the phero lol), but not ruffled lace. Do not give me floral prints. Silk and satin, possibly jacquard satin, and velvet, those are my choices. (For sexy or dress up times. For everyday you're likely to find me in flannel shirt and jeans and cowboy boots - which is what I'm wearing right now. Or T-shirt or henley or polo shirt, jeans, and sneakers or sandals - pedicured feet, please.) I'm not afraid to get in the gym and pump iron and sweat like a horse. As yet I have not tried Lace because it...I dunno, its fx don't appeal to me. I don't, and never have, wanted to be the pretty little thing in pink and lace and dainty little shoes and jewelry and stuff. Give me big, bold, bling - but TASTEFUL big, bold bling. (In other words, IMNSHO there is such a thing as too big and too bold and too bling-y.) Mom used to call the women in my family Amazons for our stature. Given our heritage and nature, I think Valkyries might be more appropriate, but you get the picture.
  9. I would like to see a list of the entire staff and what they do to help bring these wonderful fragrances to us! Just so we can thank them all properly!
  10. Wow, that was fast. I'm Ziggy Stardust now. I kinda like that.
  11. I'm 5'7" in sock feet, but of an easygoing disposition. I do have "stage presence" when I want to have it (I used to occasionally have it whether I wanted it or not), but I have found that because I am shy, insecure, and easygoing, that the stronger-image pheros seem to work better for me. I have flatly fallen in love with PP because it does exactly what I want it to do - it says, "STAR!" while also saying, "Nice person!" Because that's who I want to be. That's who I am inside. And it helps me let that out.
  12. It could be worse. I know a lady who fell on a butcher knife and it went into her belly...and somehow missed EVERYTHING vital. It was, quite literally, only a flesh wound.
  13. EEEEEE! Da Mawa haz bin hurtzded? NOOOO! Sai it izunt so!
  14. In general, that is considered the defining story for the genre, yes. Which reminds me that I need to get on the ball and come up with an idea for a steampunk short story for the anthology I usually put in for. And yes, kitties and smellum-goodums - perfect combo!
  15. Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Arthur Conan Doyle, Edgar Rice Burroughs. LXG as mentioned, Wild Wild West, RDJr's Sherlock Holmes movies.
  16. AIIIEEE! I was trying to go ahead and get some of my stuffs ordered and the shopping cart isn't holding my orders....... Edit: NM. I refreshed and they came back... O_o
  17. Now me, they both work and both give self-fx. I happen to ADORE PP and actually have taken to rolling on just the unscented PP before a phone-in interview, let alone a public speaking engagement or such (as an author, I do lots of those) and it really does seem to create exactly the effect I want - in me, and my audience if they're present - I am a superstar, but an approachable, friendly superstar! (And my writing mentor - and family - are working hard on boosting my self-image and self-esteem to make me feel like it more and more, so that helps!)
  18. WOOTWOOTWOOTWOOT STALKITYSTALKITYWOOTSTALKWOOT
  19. Bingo. LadyV nailed it for me too. *gggrrrRRRRrrrrrrlllll*
