So, I have this on side by side with Hot Treacle Trollop (I'll post this in both review sections)... Hot Treacle Trollop smells like hot dry cinnamon. Like throwing cinnamon over an open flame. Very dry. The patchouli is also very dry, like hot crispy resin. It makes me feel parched and like I need to take off all of my clothes just smelling it. It smells like how Hot Damn (the alcohol) tastes mixed with a dry patchouli. The maple and brown sugar even it out and ground it just enough. It is sweet, but in a dry kind of way. Like the brown sugar was left out to dry and harden and the maple is more like dry crisp maple leaves rather than a thick syrup. C & J's Treacle Trollop is much creamier and more in line with the feel of LP Black. The vanilla is warm and predominant. The patchouli is deeper and creamier. Aged, but moist. The brown sugar is sweet and moist and the maple is like a pure maple syrup. Edited to add that I had both samples on the same hand (different sides). They smell fantastic together! Probably my new favorite pairing...

OMG, this is sooo much better than I expected! If you just love LP Black, you will LOVE this one! It is scrumptious. It is like we pulled out all of the best parts of Black and put them in a seperate bottle. OK, now that I am done drooling... When wet, the patchouli is phenomenal and the vanilla has the same effect when combining with the patchouli that you experience in Black. The brown sugar and maple add a super sexy sweetness to it. As it dries down, it morphes a little and the patchouli drops back a little (but just a little, it is still noticably there). The vanilla moves forward and the brown sugar and maple waft in and out. It is beautiful. Well Done!

OMG my heart almost jumped out of my chest! I was just checking the status of my package and it showed as in process at the airport post office. I was slightly disappointed at having to wait another day, but excited that it was here. Just after I closed the browser, I went to our reception desk to drop something off and THERE WAS MY BOX!!!!

One will be in the decant circle. Jo Anna and I will split the rest. I'll send mine out with some upcoming trades to get some out there. I am sure that Ms. Hotlips can be convinced to do the same.

M & D indicated that the patchouli is also drier and the concentrations of brown sugar and maple are slightly different. It should smell drier than ours. Ours has vanilla instead of cinnamon and should be a little creamier than this one. They are very similar, but different enough to justify a bottle of both if you feel so inclined. I am looking forward to trying them side-by-side to see how they compare.

I just wanted to say... I can't believe that people weren't snapping this up before. About two months ago, I was perusing the pictures on the LPMP site (not the store, but the main site) and saw this one all the way at the bottom. I thought to myself: "wow, a hidden LP." I looked for reviews and couldn't find any. As a true junkie, I sought out the JALN website (boy was I pleasantly surprised at what I found when I got there). I ordered a bottle (and a few other things). It arrived and I LOVED IT. I couldn't believe that this long lost treasure had been kept a secret. So, in my frantic need to share the good news I created a post and send little sniffies to several people. I am sooo happy to see that this lost little gem has been discovered! It doesn't last on me as long as I would like on it's own, but if I layer it with Suki's Boy Bait it will last all day and the Boy Bait doesn't significantly change the jasmine notes that I love so much.

Oh, it will be just devine with that!

My order came in. The four of you who had decants coming: invoices are sent and packages are ready to go out. Yippee!

The C & J's Treacle Trollop is ours. We designed the recipe together after watching a hot hockey game, so both our initials are on it. How cool is that!

Not so well with either of them. I ended up trading out both of those. Hopefully, this one will work better on me...

In case no one has noticed... Magical Omaha has two versions of Scandalous available now. One is the regular and one contains Cougar pheros... You'll see it listed as Phero Girl: Cougar - it is really Scandalous with Cougar pheros added... For those Cougars out there...

I have placed the last of my "catch-up" and hoarding orders for what is out there. The rest of my list will come from trades. From here forward, it is the new ones and customs.

I would like to add again how much I enjoy this one. It is bold and wonderful. It does have the feel of a timeless fragrance. The floral is not too strong on me. What I get are the resins and musks with a woody floral in the background. It almost feels like sandalwood is in here somewhere.

I'll trade you a decant of yours for a decant of mine. The difference is that mine will have vanilla instead of cinnamon.

I totally have good angel / bad angel conversations with myself... I placed these in several orders and was shocked to see it all together. Obviously, I love these goodies. I am nearly to the point that I need to forbid myself to hoard. If I am to continue to order new goodies, i will never have time to wear the hoarded bottles...

Whew, I think I need to hold off on any more orders until these all come in!

Congrats! I am sure that it will be just as addicting for you as it is for us. My husband also wears LPs. That is the case of several of the ladies here. Don't be shy about starting a trading post, I am sure there are several who will trade with you. My hubby's favs so far are Northshore, Elementary and LP #3.
