  1. Wet, this was wet juicy berries and freshly cut grapefruit. After it dried down, I could no longer smell the berries. All I got was unsweetened yellow grapefruit (I am sure this was my skin, not the scent). After an hour it was gone and I was left with the faintest whisper of incense where my test spot was.
  2. Wet, the pineapple was dominant on me. I could smell sweet berries, but didn't get any of the other notes. Now that it has dried down for 15 minutes or so, I get a soft creamy blend that would be a really yummy blended drink! The pineapple is still dominate, but subtle at the same time. The berries are there, but not consistently. They waft in and out. The coconut cream is pretty steady in the background and the musk offers the perfect amount of powdery sex appeal just around the edges. Very nice. Grown up and girly all at the same time. For those concerned about the fruit, this is not too foody at all. I usually steer clear of fruity scents (except for my bath or for an oil warmer), and I really like this one. I don't get any of the sharpness that luna gets, so it may be the musk reacts a little differently on the two of us.
  3. Done. I'll request an e-mail exchange. This is JoAnna's bottle, so if you would prefer to trade she will do it for 2 samples from her want list. If not, I will send you an invoice. Decant circles can be big or small. Basically, one person buys a bottle and decants it into smaller bottles for sale or for trade. This is typically done on items that you can't get samples of. I usually do mine in 2ml decants or bottle splits. I have been one circle where I paid before the person ordered the product and I never received my decant. For that reason, I will never require payment or trades until I have the product in my hands and I can ship it out within one day of your payment or trade agreement. There is a Private Edition decant circle that is getting ready to start if you want to join. Right now there are seven of us. Between all of us, we have decanted small samples of almost all of the PE's available for sale right now and a few that are sold out. Check out the thread in the Trading Post forum to see how it works.
  4. There are some that absolutely love EST and some that really don't like it. I have a decant circle going for a bottle of EST. I can send you a 2ml decant for $9 if you want to try it before you spring the $110. I personally don't like to spray it in my hair. It took 2 weeks for me to get the smell of pheros out of my hair (with one spray). I have used it mixed in an LP and like it that way. If you decide on the decant, I'll send it with a little spray bottle so that you can try it both ways.
  5. This one has to be shaken well. Don't judge it by the smell in the vial. I almost passed it by. I didn't like it at all. But, I told myself to do a small test just to make sure. I have found some gems that way. This one does have a waxy candy corn and taffy smell to it. It is not overly sweet, and there is definately a salty note to the taffy. It is very different. I almost smell cinnamon, but i don't think that is what it is. Nicely done.
  6. I was a little leery of this because of the lily. It is surprisingly subtle. The carnation and gardenia really come out, the lily is in the background. It almost smells like a watery floral the way the notes dance in and out together.
  7. This one did the weird honey thing on me. Not a chemistry match.
  8. This one is very pretty. It is light and feminine. The orchids are noticable, but not overpowering. The other ingredients are very subtle so as not to overpower the orchids. Wonder light floral. I like it.
  9. This one is interesting. When wet, it was in your face floral. Wrinkly nose. Knowing LPs need to sit, I let it dry and focused on other exposed skin for a while. When I came back it was wonderful! Very sunny. The orange blossoms were the dominate note on me with the grapefruit giving it a little zest. The honey was subtle, which was nice.
  10. Oooohhh, this one is wonderful. This is the first gardenia that I have tried that doesn't give me a raging headache. I was leery about the honey, since it does funky things with my skin. The honey is VERY subtle, which is wonderful. Just enough to perfectly complement the vanilla and warm it up.
  11. It is a yummy sleepytime scent. Lavendar doesn't like my chemistry, but it is just perfect it likes my hubby. I still get to smell it while I sleep.
  12. The mosses in this were a little heavy for me. The lavandar was also fairly dark (probably in combo with the mosses). I almost put it in the "trade" pile and thought I would try it on my husband before I did. I am sooo glad that I did. This smells fantastic on him. The mosses really sweetened up and the jasmine/lavendar were a nice addition, but definately not to floral. It has a soft lighter masculine feel. His neck was still kissably yummy when we woke up this morning (7 hours later). This morning he looked at the label and started laughing. All he could say was "so, does this mean I am a rebound."
  13. This is unique and yummy. The black pepper is a nice twist to this. The vanilla is there, swimming in the background. The brown sugar rounds the mix out. It is a just barely sweetened blend. Very nicely done! Edited to add - I bought a bottle of this and am so glad that I did...
  14. Wet, I was not at all impressed with this one. I got really strong wine. After it dried and had some time to blend with my skin, I love it. The rose is definitely there, but soft and powdery on me. I can smell some dark resins in the background. I was pleasantly surprised with this one.
  15. Wet, this was fantastic. I really did smell like red silk looks. After it dried, however, the powdered sugar did something uexpectedly funky with my skin. Adding my bottle to my trading post. So sad.
  16. Hi there - I put my sample of To Soothe A Broken Heart from the new releases on my husband last night and it smelled fantastic. I also really liked Teddy Man in the trial vial. They are both new releases, I would recommend giving them a try. You might also watch the "What's Your Potion of the Day" forum. Several folks post what their significant other is wearing as well. Pony is the most consistent. You could get some ideas of women's scents that work well on men there.
  17. OK. this did not do well on me. As most strong honey scents do, it did the funky waxy slightly acrid thing. It would waft in and out. There was about 10 minutes in there where it smelled nice and cakey, then it went back to acrid wax. Bottle and sample up for grabs on my trading post.
  18. So... about 6 hours after application, the brown sugar and maple really came out to play. I kid you not, my hand smelled just like I had just opened a package of instant maple & brown sugar oatmeal. It was soft, and quite yummy.
  19. It was totally a flashback moment! I was trying to figure out what it smelled like, and then all of the sudden that memory flooded my mind and I then I realized what it reminded me of. We termed an employee in our office today. I have to stay and provide moral support to her supervisor while she cleans out her desk. I may be a few minutes late coming over. I'll call you when I am on my way. Bringing my box!
  20. The bottle came in. I'll be shipping you your precious tomorrow. I did get an extra label for this one, so it will come fully labeled.
  21. Request an e-mail exchange and maybe I'll be nice.
  22. So, I have this on side by side with Hot Treacle Trollop (I'll post this in both review sections)... Hot Treacle Trollop smells like hot dry cinnamon. Like throwing cinnamon over an open flame. Very dry. The patchouli is also very dry, like hot crispy resin. It makes me feel parched and like I need to take off all of my clothes just smelling it. It smells like how Hot Damn (the alcohol) tastes mixed with a dry patchouli. The maple and brown sugar even it out and ground it just enough. It is sweet, but in a dry kind of way. Like the brown sugar was left out to dry and harden and the maple is more like dry crisp maple leaves rather than a thick syrup. C & J's Treacle Trollop is much creamier and more in line with the feel of LP Black. The vanilla is warm and predominant. The patchouli is deeper and creamier. Aged, but moist. The brown sugar is sweet and moist and the maple is like a pure maple syrup. Edited to add that I had both samples on the same hand (different sides). They smell fantastic together! Probably my new favorite pairing...
