When I read the description of this, I immediately thought to get the f/s in RB because of the richness... and if the skin is sucking it up (or turns it 'wonky') wouldn't a silicone base help that? But when I looked, it's not offered in that option... I'm dying to try it though!

:eating-pie:OH YUMMO. TY StacyK! See... that's why I need you guys to just throw stuff out here! I'm amazed at how much time I spend here yet every day I learn something (or FIND something) new. I do declare! I'll be orderin a FS of dat one.... hubs loves his Cajun comfort food and Pralines... maybe he can save the calories now and eat me instead. Now I just have to come up with a PE that might be the main course (with the cajun blackened/hot spices + perhaps a fruity cooling hurricane) since Lola sounds like a definite dessert scent. I LOVE the fact that it benefits Habitat for Humanity, New Orleans too. OK - and just so I can stay on topic, I'll add that I tried LAM again last night and my husband couldn't keep his hands off me - even in front of the boys (which TOTALLY grosses them out no matter how innocent it is!)

Hadn't seen that so I'll search... I DID see the Bourbon Vanilla Maple Hydrating Water and thought it sounded yummy I thought I'd ask Dolly ... I don't know why but for some reason I thought she might be from/live close to Louisiana (Doggone it, I never can easily find the posts I want to refer back to and keep my memory in check!) ~ I think she'd be a good one to ask about developing a PE in this kind of scent (New Orleans, Bayou, HooDoo-vibe) She knows her stuff and I especially Iike the way she thinks! Of course I have NO idea how to message her outside of responding to a post (and that would be going off topic!) I'm still learning forum etiquette....lol.

Oh but you ARE the lady of the manor Mel! Forgive me for being late to the party, but do you have a new baby?! I only see snippets of things in posts & I'm trying to figure out the rest of the story. Although a new baby can keep you from feeling anything but exhausted, and a mere shadow of your former self, thankfully no matter how rough things are (we) moms eventually find grace in just being the center of that little ones universe. So, if you are, can you catch me up on all the details? Forget that... I just read a post that sounds like you are in the exhaustion throngs of new motherhood. Don't waste any precious energy on getting me up to speed... there'll be time for that later. Take care.

Not at all MDC! Ramble, please. It really does help me to read the opinions and experiences from all the long-term members here. Now if I can just find an easy way to organize all the great advice and notes into a reference guide I can flip through when I'm compiling my next order (instead of relying on my memory to go back and find the "posts" that I need to refer to) If I ever figure it out and get it put together I'm going to label it LP4D (Love Potions for Dummies).

Sometimes I have a weird sense of humor (something I love to see on these forums, too) and since I haven't been here that long I just wanted to make sure no one thought I was actually serious! I swear if he had gotten the least bit "huggy/Mommy" with me (which wasn't unusual up until about 15 - when he was obviously ready to untie those apron strings - but would have been completely out of character for him now) I would have probably freaked out and showered immediately. Yeah I've been checking out that whole New Orleans, Bayou, HooDoo-vibe line I missed to see if anything sounded like something to try for my Louisianna born-Cajun Cookin'- Tigers/Saints Lovin' dude. Maybe I'll have to think about a PE in his "honor"... LOL

It was within 30 min of my applying...and I had no operating sense of smell so who knows what kind of force field I had goin on. (That's why I asked him if my "perfume" was too strong.) I forgot about this, but it certainly makes sense. I was JK about the Oedipus thing, but now I know that my formerly "oversexed Louisiana Bayou bad boy" hubby may indeed return someday with my LP mojos hard at work!

This paraphrases it perfectly; doesn't make me feel overtly sexy, but just edgy enough and " in your face" enough to help me power through whatever task is at hand. And if that task is to get laid, well, it does come in very handy - and that's when the gunpowder probably pays off And I must apologize to the auburn dominatrix on the bottle every time I pick it up... "I judged thee FAR too hastily..."

Donsie - I'm interested - what exactly do you mean by 'right order' So do you think CP would be similar to LP#9 as far as scent goes?

I realize this is an older post, but I didn't know where to put this (& I don't want to start a new topic) I admit, I am overly-excited about finding LPMP recently, quite by accident (but really, are there accidents!??) I ordered many things in a short amount of time, and last week I got some of my latest treasures - one being LAM spray, original scent. Ok so last night (Sat) I'm under the assumption that my two teenage boys will be hanging out with friends... Leaving hubs and I at home alone (a rare occurrence). I am also trying to shake a wicked sinus infection (perfectly timed with the receipt of my latest box of LP of course, can't smell much of anything) so I feel decidedly UN-SEXY. So in a WTH moment, I spritz myself with LAM thinking I will "test" to see if hubs pick up on it. I can't smell anything...I try a little LP Red on my wrists to see if I can get some olfactory stimuli...nothin. Hubs is napping. I decide to go empty the dishwasher (sexy chores, I know) when my oldest son (an athletic, healthy, gorgeous 18) comes blasting through the front door... "MOM I need you to help me with somethin' real quick..." Turns out he ISN'T disappearing for the night, but is working on a physics assignment (decidedly out of character for my son). He puts his laptop on the dining room table, and pulls up what he wants me to help with. I exit the kitchen and stand next to him; we are both looking at the screen, reading. Suddenly, he starts to get 'sniffly'... like he might sneeze, or cough, or his nose is itching. I back away from him and walk back into the kitchen wondering if I have bombed him with LAM. He seems to shake off the sniffs, is talking to me (from the other room) about the assignment. Says, "what about this...come look at this." So I walk back over towards him, reading the screen again, and AGAIN he starts rubbing his itchy nose and sniffling. I said "What's wrong darlin'? Is my perfume too strong?" He said "No mom. I don't know what's happening to me." So I left the room again and it subsided. Poor thing never put it together that he was, at least temporarily, "allergic" to mom. I don't know what else it could have been, other than the LAM. Thank God he never showed any Oedipus complex symptoms (which would have been a dead giveaway- but I'm relieved that didn't occur!) So I'd like opinions from the experienced forum members... Does this sound like a reaction to the Phero/cops in LAM or perhaps the spray diffusion (up to this point I've only worn the oils- including LP Red w/no adverse reactions)? It was an unexpectedly humorous case study at the very least. And hubby was very touchy-feely the rest of the night (no major action but the kids ended up at home too) but at least he didn't magically become allergic to me!

If it's unisex - what female Phero blend would you combine with this? Could it be an office friendly scent say, with OW? And "date night" with SS4W or BANG!? Like you Molls, I love citrus and musk...

I had been looking at getting H&S Un... So your sugg might be the way to go. Or maybe get this "plain" & H&S separately so it can be used w/ other stuff. I do love the oil based LPs I have. TY missdarlyncherie.

Mara - I live in East Texas (Dallas), but always loved the desert and yin/yang existence it has (flora & fruit amidst the dry & death- I think of Georgia O'Keefe paintings w/skulls & flowers...SEXY flowers at that) my home looks like it was plucked out of Arizona in fact. I keep returning to this scent (& Love immortal - but that's a whole other story!) what Phero blend(s) do you think would be a good match for this? RB or spray?

NuTrix I remembered the story you shared with me back when I first posted! I thought of you when I suddenly did a change up on my attitude after hating on S&V. If there's one thing I've learned here, it's that you shouldn't write off a scent before you've done your due diligence on application. I can't say that I LOVE S&V, but I'm not ready to part with it that's for sure. LOL....head shop? OMG, your posts catch me off-guard... I think you are right!!! There is still that "too something" factor in S&V for me, but in a tiny dose it's kinda dark and "out there" while not (feeling like) I'm burning nose hairs or brain cells. Now I have the full size RB so I hope it doesn't "age" & get even MORE "something" over time, as it will be awhile before I make a dent in it.

OK so I really did NOT like Sex & Violins in the beginning, and I still can't put my finger on just what that single note is that is so pungent to me. When I got it, I did the recommended RB app between navel & cleavage, then the "spread it around using your wrists"... Went on with my day, and everywhere I went I felt like I was an invisible bulldozer walking in to a room - I had to be mowing everyone down in my S&V wake. Since it contains Dominance, I can say, I was definitely dominating the air around me. Now I did get some strange (but attentive) reactions from men, I will say. BUT, at the cost of my nose hairs... I don't think I'd wear it often. So I turn to the forums, and read and study and smell... Then I use S &V again but very VERY sparingly. And I summate after several minutes that "this isn't TOO terrible." Then this week in the forums I notice someone in search of S&V... Two weeks ago I probably would have responded immediately... Now, I'm not so sure! So, yes, patience pays. So does studying up on scents, pheros, cops, application, etc. on these forums. After all this, I will probably KEEP and USE my Sex & Violins. And if you've been on the fence... S&V is sold out now with only a few left on Artfire...
