  1. Thank you Stacy! My beloved mail carrier delivered a ton of goodies for me today, and of course I want to throw them all on at once, so I appreciate your cautionary tale. I'm wearing Focus Potion, so obviously I need to figure it out on it's on and then explore if Topper over it would be okay. (I'm looking for perfect teaching blend/sweet spot.) It makes so much sense to write everything down, including dosage. It may have be hormonal but my headache never left me yesterday, I may have possibly OD'd on something. (Lumina in early am, TH in late late afternoon/early evening.) So much research to do! Thanks for your response, very much appreciate it.
  2. This scent reminds me of when I was young and had the free time to read lots of Tarot card and occult books and hang out in metaphysical book stores. They were my big research/study years. Now if I go into a metaphysical store I get what I need, drive home, prep whatever I'm concocting, and then burn/bury/whatever and move on. There is no research or lingering, I'm all business now. Eve of Darkness smells like the luxury of lingering in the mysteries of metaphysical and occult research. It's a lovely place to visit, but like I said, I'm all business in that regard now. I could never date a man who smelled like this all the time, he most likely takes himself way too seriously and considers himself a "Wizard." I can also assume he has a large collection of black cloaks to wear non-ironically and also braids things into his beard. i might dump it into a wax and put it on the wax burner though. We are dealing with a Full moon/SuperMoon in Gemini AND Mercury has just turned retrograde. I could perhaps manage a few card readings between obtaining groceries and washing laundry. Maybe I'll commit to ONLY washing black clothes.
  3. StacyK , you said "I can't do enone blends with Topper. But, that's me." If you have a moment, can you expand on that? I'm expecting a bottle of Topper this week and it's my understanding I can use it with everything, but I'm curious what doesn't work for you so I know what to look for. Thanks!
  4. Now that's a great idea! Carry it on a piece of felt and ditch it once you get there! Also good so no one sits in that extra seat next to you on the plane. I think we're onto something.
  5. You know what I hear when waiting for descriptions? Tick, tock... tick, tock..." I made a funny. I hope 1969 doesn't smell like unwashed hippies.
  6. Taking this for a spin today. Had gifted it to my man, he didn't like it because he likes nothing with maple in it and he noticed it from the vial without ever touching it to his skin. I think it's lovely and suspect he will like it on my skin.
  7. You know how when you're on a road trip, and you're crossing a state line, and someone sticks a body part forward and yells, "First one in?" I have no guesses, other than knowing that the labels are beautiful and I believe Distant Planets, Year One and 1969 are of interest to me.
  8. I have some of this in a sample that I got from Hearts, it's ridiculous. Like ridiculously amazing. The sandalwood is just so smooth and perfect and genuine. I once had a whole lb. of rough sandalwood splinters that I hoarded, but eventually used as incense, that I acquired in the late 80's.This particular sandalwood brings me back to I'm-not-sure-exactly-where, but all the other notes just disappear for me. I need some of this or I'll have to keep it in a secret lock box. Who's holding out?
  9. Thanks Luna! I like the science and detective work I get to do on here. You're always helpful, thank you for your endless knowledge.
  10. Halo, did that stabbiness go away? I have that problem with anything with leather in it. Like to the point where I want to wash it off, but then that parts gone in 15 minutes. I am so in love with this scent. I did get my shipping notice (!) that it's on it's way, it's my first non-phero in a spray. I finished my little bit from my trial vial today, luckily my sweatshirt sleeves still smelled a bit when i couldn't smell it on my wrists anymore. It's the kind i need to keep huffing. I don't know what's in 7 Minutes to Midnight, but I used it to chase the White Velvet Pumpkin. Does anyone know the notes for 7 minutes? It was released Oct 2009 I believe.
  11. I'm going to experiment with a little bit of 7 minutes in my hair, this could be a neat way to diffuse.
  12. I put on Enduring Appeal 3 hours ago, I'm now getting a lovely rose, a soft sweet floral(freesia or maybe lily?), and properly made tea. Very lovely. I'm a citrus gal and love anything grapefruit, but it's not showing up at the moment. So I'd say any citrus in here is complimentary and not competing or strong. I've been busy for past few hours so didn't really think about the scent after slathering until maybe 20 minutes ago. It's lovely. If I had a bottle, I'd want it in a spray, and I would reach for it fairly often. Sometimes I spritz my hair a touch, this would be lovely for that.
  13. I feel like there's a PE in this thread. We can call it "Boy are you dumb."
  14. This is so lovely on me. It's odd because it seems really light when I first put it on, and seems to get richer as the day goes on. A nice bonus is that my man and myself both love pineapple. And I have that odd ability to eat unlimited pineapple without it hurting my mouth. It's so yummy, this scent, I don't even think it would be possible to put too much on. But I'm going to try. That's my mission today, to see if I have an infinite capacity to wear this LP without it ever being too much. I'll report back. ❤️ 7 hours later- still amazing. I generously reapplied mid-day, and no one is overwhelmed. Winning!

    Honey Whip

Romantic licorice. Can't go wrong. I think sometimes a scent blends so naturally with who I already am, I don't notice I'm wearing anything. This is one of those "I can't smell it/ I can't stop smelling it" blends. I am also sure it would mix well with a bunch of other LP's, I might put a drop of Lina's Fluffy Bunny over it later, or BB or Odalisque, depending on my intentions.
  16. I need to get my hands on some of this, I really like florals with grapefruit on them. Another one for the "wants" list! Edit: (Dec 27th) Yup! It's beautiful! I just put it on with some UN Cougar. This little sample is definitely going into my "scents for Hawaii trip" bag. My man says I smell like mangos. (No mango in it, but grapefruit and apricot and passion fruit.) Tropical, but more me than Winter in the Tropics, for sure. I mean, I'd be stoked to be that Winter in the Tropics lady, but this is brighter and more spontaneous. That other lady is hella classy, all tropical flowers and wearing white. The girl in Halcyon Daze walks through mud and bamboo forests in her flip flops to climbs waterfalls and eats ripe fruit with her hands. Shes's very messy, but has the most fun on her itinerary-free vacations.
  17. If I get my man a FB, I will try it on myself!
  18. I was just looking through my samples for something nice to cover UN Cougar. I'm going to be asleep several hours before my man comes home, so I needed to find something that says 'you really need to wake this woman up." I'm a hot sleeper, I can get sweaty and be too asleep to take off some covers, but this is clean and extremely feminine scent that would make a man want to get closer. Even if the woman in question was fast asleep and all sweaty. Butterfly Bloom and the word "gross" have never been in the same room at the same time.
  19. BF says this smells like "a really clean fresh showered after the gym smell. Not too fancy, like really expensive soap that doesn't smell like soap. It smells like 'good hygiene.'" I like it, it's grown on both of us. I am not a fan of green man scents, but there's just enough amber and "man warmth smell" to keep me interested. I think it's sexy. If he worked in an office, I'd rather he didn't wear it to work, or he'd have a bunch of ladies lingering by his desk all day. River and Rain, IMO, would be perfect for a nonchalantly sexually charged brunch date. No sex. Make her wait. The man wearing this holds ALL the cards. I think it would be a good pairing with Charisma.
  20. Thanks Quiet Guy. If you could see the mess of sample scent riches in front of me, you'd feel bad for me. Almost.
  21. Mara is clearly a good mama to all of us. And we are spoiled brats, the most obvious sign of a good loving mama! I ordered my H&S a while ago, and TH around the same time. I'm sorry I can't remember exactly who said it on the forum, maybe Dolly (?), but they said TH was for "sorority sisters" and H&S was for closer friends. That's kind of how I use them, but I also think I do better with H&S. If/when I see my ex-MIL again I will be dripping in TH! When I'm seeing her daughter, that I love, I wear H&S. Instead of in-laws, we call each other "Sister Out Laws" instead of in-laws.
  22. Bright and yummy, smells like the juicy fruity cousin to last night's Winter in the Tropics. Winter in the Tropics was like a vacation in a bottle, Passionbee might be how if I were permanently on vacation somewhere magical FOREVER. Lingering flowers, apricots, grapefruit and ginger are what I smell two hours later. I checked and this scent is still available, it could be morning competition for Pallas when summertime rolls around. I like to smell cheery in the morning. And I love H & S. I'm going to get a full bottle and I want it in a spray. This is the kind of scent I'd want to spray above me and get all over me and my clothes.
  23. I'm glad it worked out. One of my best friends started out as an enemy, similar situation. She came into my work environment where I was comfortable with an intolerably greedy hustle. I know that no one shows up at work looking for new friends, but it's nice when it happens.
  24. Thanks Halo. You are very kind. I'm not able to pick out individual notes very often, mostly just a few categories and degrees of like and dislike. But gardenia and plumeria are distinctive and easy. I am thinking more about identifying scents, but more so just noticing odors in general. This morning I kept getting an unpleasant whiff on something and realized it was my face cream! It does have a bad smell when it first goes on, but I've never noticed I later in the day. I think maybe I need to keep some Odalisque in between my boobs in case I never need to have a yummy chaser to a bad smell in my environment. Or on my face.
  25. Thanks! Let's meet up on a double date at that restaurant in Maui sometime.
