  1. OMG a Christmas version of Sugared Bonfire. With rum. FLAMBEED MARHSMALLOWS WITH RUM this needs to happen I'm such a boozer can't you tell? *actually I drink very little. I'm too much of a lightweight to handle more than 2 without falling asleep!
  2. I hope there's something with rum in it....rum cake or a hot toddy something or other or rum balls... yes I am a child.
  3. So THAT'S why ashes always look kinda white........
  4. ANOTHER FRENCH TOAST SCENT???!!! *drools* *dies*
  5. By the same artists who brought you Blue Balls On Christmas Carol of the Balls Let It Blow Silver Balls Up On The Sex Shop
  6. Stalking around the Christmas tree.....
  7. I may be desperate, but I don't want THOSE things feeling me up in the middle of the night!
  8. Oh man....let me just say we could easily have an entire shop section of "hunting safety fashion" and paisley is our version of camo. Here's our mascot. LadyV is going to get a kick out of this.
  9. Luna, I envy you because you don't have to write copy for a radioactive pumpkin dress.
  10. QG I think you just summed up my job in a nutshell. I mean, the thing I have in front of me, it's day-glo orange. How the fuck do you possibly describe something as gorgeous when it would make someone look like a radioactive pumpkin?! But yeah, if you think lawyers are liars they have nothing on me. edit for emoticon code fail
  11. I can't read Luna's mind, but since my day job is a copywriter, I can say that writing copy is a funny thing. Sometimes you get these bursts of inspiration and it's all sorts of wonderful the first time around, and sometimes you're staring at the item (or I guess in Luna's case since I work from clothing samples and she works from perfume notes) or item description trying to wring something out of your brain, so you never know what expect even from yourself--it's a mixed bag!
  12. LOL dunno, agree with both of you in a way, I get paid at the end of this week so I'll keep calm till then.
  13. I think a chocolate eggnog also needs to happen. With extra booze. Screw perfume I'd drink that.
  14. Pine cookies. Yes. I know we've had sugared pine with--I think it was Stocking Stuffer--but I mean actual pine and cookies. I've never seen it anywhere else. Buttery frosted pine sugar cookies. The perfume world needs this. And now I can't find the appropriate drooling emoticon.
  15. Welcome Solaralchemy, I'm also a 20something INFJ or at least that's what the test told me some years back. I'm also a Jubilee, LP Red and Lace fan! HAH agreed!
  16. My sentiments exactly, but I always fall for the December releases almost as hard as October's, so bracing myself!
  17. I kind of wanted to roll in this, it's so delicious. I actually don't get a very strong lavender note out of this one, softer than Lady V's Midnight Snack, but more of the bakery/frosting/vanilla notes with a gentle hint of lavender. The black amber isn't a strong note here, but it make it that much more than *just* foody.
  18. This really does smell like its namesake. Deep, sexy honey and sensual woods making beautiful music together (haaaah....I know how cheesy that is). I'm glad to say the spruce doesn't go manly on me as soon evergreen woods, like cypress, can. Also civet can sometimes go plasticky on me but I think the woods and honey balances this one out enough so it stays musky and doesn't venture into plastic territory. The gunpowder note must be that certain thing about it I can't quite put my finger on, something that takes it to that other level--not powdery, not dusty, just warm and alluring.
  19. Oh yes. This is a heavenly CLOUD of vanillaed almond. Definitely a cakelike vanilla, but more of a white cake than the buttery yellow kind. The almond and marzipan notes together make the almond note that much more rich and prominent, almost with a cherry-ish tinge in the beginning which settles down into something warm, creamy and even soothing. I think the amber is what really anchors this and keeps it from being too ephemeral, though it doesn't hit you as amber directly, but adds a depth to all the white clouds of almond and vanilla that you can just barely put a finger on.
  20. This is like Angelique slipped into a black velvet dress with a thigh-high leg slit. I actually get more cocoa than Angelique, and the musk is a warmer, sexier type. The way the honey sexes up the chocolate reminds me a bit of Deliciously Wicked though this is an entirely different scent. And--I don't know but does BI make me feel more confident or something? I swear the self-effects these supposedly "sexual" pheros have on me are the best thing ever.
  21. So what will this one make me? *waves wand* Silky Selkie! Fits. I'm a diver so I'd say I'm amphibious.
  22. If we could all age like you we will be very, very lucky!
  23. Dude this smells like Pixy Stix. AWESOME. I get a bit of a fizzy feeling from it too, which actually stays there on me--not as fizzy as when wet but it does stick around. I love how it smells like candy but isn't cloying. Sometimes grape notes can go that way on me but not here; I think the other fruits, and especially the lemon balance it out enough to keep some tartness in there. I don't get a defined "lemon" smell out of it at all, just a tart bite that evens out all the sweet elements. Sugar high in a bottle without the calories or cavities!
  24. Because of the parrot that bottle is going to have a starring role on my shelf. Not in my boxes but front and center on my shelf. And watch, it's going to make Lestat want to eat me.

LOVE this one. Starts out bursting with tart juicy blackberry, then gradually these clouds and clouds of vanilla marshmallow rise up around it and just make it completely swoonworthy. I think it's the benzoin that helps anchor that whole vanilla deliciousness. The blackberry doesn't go away, it just get s a whole lot more vanillaed, and it also doesn't turn cloying-candy-sweet like some fruit notes can on me. Now if you filled some marshmallows with blackberry jam and dared to toast them, would that taste like this smells?
