    Candytuft Tea

I have to admit I was leery of the clove bud here, but this doesn't scream CLOVE at all. It's like a light, sweet, slightly fruity tea; the green and black tea notes are not in-your-face bitter, they just balance the sweetness. I have no idea what candytuft flower smells like in real life but at least here it seems like a lovely soft, sweet floral. I also like how the lemon make this a bit tangy to offset the sweeter aspects. I can detect a hint of clove but it's more of an accent than anything else; in fact it makes this scent remind me of Necco wafers and if I'm not mistaken there is clove in those!
  2. I admit to almost not going full bottle on this first time around but I'm so glad I did. Some lavenders are way too strong and herbal on me (thanks to my tendency for amping lavender) but while this has a defined lavender scent it's all soft, fluffy and soothing. I think it's the baby powder and jasmine that are doing wonderful things to it, lightening it up and giving it that cloud-like feel. This is not a cat pee jasmine--it's a sheer white one that adds a touch of sensuality as well. Though they are not the same scent, there is an aspect of this that reminds me of that delightfully powdery quality in New (and think everyone here knows of my whining to bring New back by now ). I love how the vanilla musk finish makes it just sweet enough, but not too sweet, which is perfect for a scent like this.
  3. I almost died of happiness when I first smelled this. TOTALLY WORTH FOUR YEARS OF WAITING. It's that good. It does smell very gingerbread-y, but like an amped-up gingerbread that has a deeper, more luxe and sensual aspect to it, probably due to the redwood that grounds it. I'm really glad that wood note didn't come off like ubermanly cedar on me--it's a warm, sensual wood that is nowhere in the realm of masculine (sorry QG). I am also incredibly happy that the cumin doesn't amp to high heaven on me. It has in some other blends and I was crushed, but nope not this one! The other spices (especially the nutmeg) take the fore along with the brown sugar instead, resting on that lovely warm redwood. If I could rename this I would call it The Gingerbread of Sex. End of story.
  4. I hope I get a sniffie which I will guard and hoard and put under a giant padlock kind of like Marian's chastity belt in Robin Hood, Men In Tights.
  5. Are we going to be invoiced for these or should we just pay via Paypal directly? As much as I might have wanted your Floofy (alright that came out bad) I don't blame you!
  6. Now we know why you're on this forum! I definitely want a Halo's Cocoa Lily and LadyV's Sweet Pussy Sweet Little Pussycat but I'm taking it we can't officially request until descriptions are up?
  7. In the midst of all this pussy talk (and yes I want to grab me some pussy too!) I am DYING to know what's in Floofy. By sheer coincidence Floofy is one of my many, many nicknames for Lestat.
  8. It IS divine, I have the original and it's deep, sticky and delicious, not to mention it has huge staying power (at least on me). Makes me think of some sort of more sophisticated molasses. That was one of the first PEs I ever bought and I love it to this day!
  9. *eyes bug out* holy crap if nothing else, that chocolate one, but I think I'm going to want FLOOFY (makes me think of Lestat)
  10. Bottles of BAM Peach Buttercream Coco Frambuesa Everything Nice (duh!) Metamorphosis Mysteries of the Orient Veloute Lavande samples of Candytuft Tea Sweet Chic Ectoplasm Now which one am I going to want to lick smell first.....
  11. Yeah there are already 2 I want. I have been waiting for an Everything Nice rebrew almost 4 years so you can just imagine!!!! And the raspberry coconut had me at....raspberry coconut. And Sweet Chic? CANDYtuft Tea? Never mind I already want bottles of Metamorphosis and Mysteries of the Orient, good thing I've saved my cash!
  12. Heh after the week I've had I could use a few more than that....my friend was planning a bar crawl for tomorrow but decided to go to the beach at the last minute....geez I haven't been drunk in a long time I could REALLY use some booze right now.

    Metamorphosis

So I finally got my claws on a sample, and it's another one that's turning into a bottle soon. A peach I like! A peach that doesn't go to straight aspartame on my skin! The peach is tart, more like the peaches we grow in our backyard (in the absence of squirrels) or that you get from a farmers' market than those genetically modified things from ShopRite that taste like sugar water. The florals add an airy, breezy element to this and the vanilla makes it just sweet enough but not overkill. Cool enough for summer and not saccharine--a winner!
  14. I am in LOVE with this one. Completely unexpected win for me. Maybe because there's an aspect of it that reminds me of New (which I am still banging my head for not getting a bottle of before it disappeared), maybe because there's another aspect that is trying to remind me of some memory I can't quite put my finger on. Something that went in my baths as a kid, I think. In the best possible way. The cherry blossom is almost fruity wet, and dries down softer and more floral, blending beautifully with the soft nonfoody vanilla and sensual teak (only one of my favorite woods ever--okay that came out bad ). What I like about the teak in this is that it's not too warm or heavy to wear in the summer; the scent as a whole is cool enough to wear in hot weather. This is morphing into a full bottle very soon.
  15. Oh yeah I completely forgot about Tangy Tart (goes to show the extent of my hoarding )...need to get that and Glass Slipper out pronto!
  16. Cherry cola would be awesome, or a cherry cola float type thing with a cool creamy vanilla ice cream note...I'd also love to see a rainbow sherbet-type thing. That would probably be amazing. Or a take on lemonade, like blackberry lemonade, which I've actually tried and is delicious. Or a limeade variation--cherry limeade, raspberry limeade, strawberry limeade. I'm in the mood for lighter, more effervescent stuff at the moment.
  17. Hmm....maybe that's the thing in cops that makes me feel more confident. Seriously, they almost have a Dom effect on me. Whenever I wear cops I feel like I can take more control of situations and also that I'm worth it. Which is also why I'm not the best person to consult regarding phero advice because I take it this is not the norm. ETA: hahaha Halo, I can't stand manwhores, the Situation is definitely not on my radar but I am a really competitive person!
  18. I must be the total opposite of you guys--this smells better on me than in the bottle! This is exotic and swoon-worthy. The cocoa butter adds just a hint of a cocoa undertone but doesn't come off as chocolate, which would probably clash with the tuberose in this particular case. I love tuberose, loved it ever since I was twelve and would sit in Aunt Beast's bathroom just to huff her tuberose soap. Heady, exotic, a bit sweet but not overly so. It's something of a "humid" scent without the aftereffect of bad hair. Really, really sexy.
  19. Oh yes. As a lover of Whoopsie Daisycake I couldn't help but get this one. The amber reads almost like honey to my nose, which some of the sweeter ambers can do (and I love that about them). The vanilla here is cakier than Daisycake though every bit as delicious in its own way, and I love that hint of springy floral that mixes right into it like flower petals on a cupcake. The daffodil note isn't a green floral at all so it doesn't clash. They grow by the clusters at my place so I've smelled them many times, and the scent here is as delicate and subtle as one in real life. And of course, that label.....it definitely doesn't hurt.
  20. This was everything I hoped for it to be! It's like a nutty, gooey apricot dessert that could go for summer or fall/winter. Additionally, The warm nuttiness of the chestnut, pecan and sesame is so comforting against the sweet gourmand stuff. I love how the freesia adds something fresh and airy to it. I know on paper it looks like a floral would clash with the other ingredients, and I was a little hesitant about that, but it really works in this case. Moonchild approved!
  21. I'm going to sound like Dominar Rygel when I say "Oh but I love this" but I really do. Berry scents are almost always a win for me not to mention that I actually eat them close to every day so this was a no-brainer. It's most definitely like a berry pie with a bit of fresh-from-the-oven crust wrapping it in warmth, and the sticky deliciousness of that gloop that comes oozing out when you first cut it. Something here reads like honey to me, possibly the combination of berries and amber since some ambers do have those syrupy (but not cloying) qualities, especially on my skin. I want pie now, pie with an all-butter crust and gobs of vanilla Cool Whip.

    Anthea

I love lily of the valley and I love vanilla, so when I thought this could possibly be in the vein of la fleur cremeuse with the lily instead of the rose, win! It's definitely less foody than La Fleur but it still has a lovely thread of vanilla running through it. The floral notes are just divine. These aren't florals that make you sneeze your brains out but very fresh, clean (in the best possible way, think the Sneaky Clean way, not cheap soap), airy, calming. Also the cedar keeps its distance. It's there and it grounds the scent, but it doesn't come out as CEDAR OF DOOM at any point in the drydown. Two days passed between the first and second time I wore it and I swear on the second time the vanilla came out more, so it's only going to get better with age. Plus how could I resist the Greek goddess of flowers? Love!
  23. I will forever be on my knees scrubbing the floor with a toothbrush begging and pleading for New to make like Lazarus and resurrect. I was a complete dolt to miss out on it, and it was out of complete carelessness too. The one sample I have is very closely guarded.
  24. Welcome StacyK! Funny that I don't purposely try scents blind, but often from the time I order to the time I get them, which isn't even that long, I'll forget the exact notes and get a pleasant surprise all over again when I first smell them. You may find you get positive self-effects with a lot of the pheros, especially the social ones like, say, Lumina, but I have social success with some unexpected ones too, like Lace and Leather. And I'm also definitely with you on scents having different meaning to individuals. A note can connect to something in your past, or wearing a scent on a certain occasion can have you mentally associating it with that occasion afterward.
