  1. I say the label should be LV as the Venus de Milo showered in glitter with a crown made of cupcakes. We need a scent with that name too!
  2. Two years already wow.....feels like last month. Can't believe I've been here close to four years. But you gave me an idea. I think there should be a scent called Glitter and Cupcakes in the future.
  3. If there's any sort of Halloween preview like there was with those wonderful Harry Potter-themed scents--was that last year? Two years ago? My memory is defective today--stick a fork in me, I'm done. Or was that September? I told you I'm defective today. But you can never be too early when it involves pumpkin.

Not a screeching floral! Of course it seems all floral wet but then the sheer musk and vanilla really come out on the drydown and make it like a diaphanous veil of scent, perfect for scorching hot days or when you just feel you can't do anything too heavy. There is a pleasantly soapy feel about it--I tend to like that sort of thing. And no cat pee jasmine! This is the good stuff.

Damn this is one sexy chocolate. The oud, leather and tobacco don't come out as masculine at all but really deepen the chocolate notes to give them this amazingly rich, smoky quality. For some reason I almost get a patchouli kind of feel in the background--might be the resinous quality of the oude. Overall it's like some forbidden dessert. Makes me think of the Marquis de Sade.

    Double O

I DIE. This is like pink-buttercream-frosted cake! Very buttercreamy in the beginning, and then hints of the patchouli and amber sneak out and give it more depth and maturity. Such a deceptively innocent scent, kind of like Claudia from Interview With the Vampire. She only looks like a sweet little girl till she drains all your blood.
  7. So nice. I put this on, and I'm instantly in Florida. I think the linen note is what makes this so different from every other sea breeze-based fragrance out there. It's like standing on the porch of a beach house with linen curtains blowing in the breeze and seaspray in the air. The only downside is, my head might be in Florida but I'm still stuck in Jersey.

    Coco Honey

Cocoa honey musk. I mean, there was no way this could be a miss for me. It reminds me a bit of Chocolate Musk but more complex with the honey and amber. The cocoa gives it this dusky, mysterious feel. It is, like Katz said, a powdery cocoa in the best possible way. The honey sweetens it just enough, but not overkill. Love.

    Marsha Mellow

LOVE this one! Okay, so this is the first one I'm wearing, I have a feeling I'm going to love them all but anyway. The white musk takes the marshmallow and vanilla in this just above foody, turning it into something sweet but sophisticated. I don't get a hit of vetiver to the nose, but while I can't detect it distinctly it must be what's giving this scent a slightly dusky undercurrent. Marshmallow musk, simple but amazing.
  10. May I please claim a gallon bottle each of the first three--Resin Ho, Moon Sugar & Hot Milk and Honey? ETA: THANK YOU DOLLY for giving me a heads up!
  11. So I just logged in now and OMG they look incredible, especially the cooch one haha. Um yeah, i'm going for the full set--diving in!!!
  12. I can't believe it's a Bond theme on my birthday month! I don't even have to read the note lists to know Coco Honey and Marsha Mellow are going to be instabuys. I'm sure the cooch one and Agent XXX will be too. Looking at these there's a dangerous risk of me grabbing a full set.
  13. CUCHI HEAD bwahahahahahahahaha LadyV is going to buy gallons of this I just know it
  14. Exactly. My department at work used to be all women, and I never had to interact with any men, so sometimes I would wear cops during the day only because I liked the scent and it happened to have cops (like Glistening Buttons or Pouncing Potion). However, since we acquired two men, I will absolutely NOT go there, especially because there are a lot of notes I amp. In addition to the ones Dolly suggested have you tried Lumina? Lace? Leather? La Femme Mystere? All those help with that sexy and confident edge WITHOUT the potentially disastrous consequences of wearing blatant sex blends during the day.
  15. No. Even with just a little, you have no idea how far your skin will "throw" the pheros (and towards what creep). That would be even worse if it's a perfume that has tremendous throw on your skin. Case in point: I was wearing a (non-LP) honey-based scent, no pheros, at work. I know I amp honey, but I had no idea I'd amp it as far as I did, which was only into the next room. Now can you imagine if I was in a subway station and that had blatant sexual pheros in it, in any amount? That's about 20 feet of distance, which is usually the minimum distance I keep from suspicious-looking characters when I have a choice.. When you're on the train you don't always have the choice to stand as far away from the creepers as you might like, and the results could spell disaster.
  16. This. I will so much as wipe all my makeup off and put on the best axe-murderer face I can when riding the subway at night. If I was wearing something with cops/any sexual phero beforehand and it hadn't completely burned off, I'd wipe it off. Maybe nothing will happen, depending on the motley mix you might find in that particular station at that particular time, but it's not worth the risk. I have been heckled by creeps wearing absolutely NO perfume, pheroed or unpheroed. I'd say, if you want to wear it while you're with him, take the subway first and then put it on when you're there. Keep tissues handy to wipe any remnants of it off when you leave. We're not trying to fire arrows at you, we only want you to stay safe.
  17. Cuddle Bunny, which is so ironic because that's the exact opposite of my personality--I have thorns.
  18. /we interrupt this program for a temporary thread unjacking/ Chickadee, I read through this thread and realized no one has answered your question! I'm an LP vet and can tell you that of the many, many phero blends I've worn around my parrot in the past several years, none of the nonfoody ones have ever made him any more clingy or bitey than he usually is. I know Lestat is not exactly wild but since he is an exotic I hope that can at least offer some kind of starting point. The area I live in was carved out of woods, and of the many things that take up residence in my yard during the spring and summer I've never had any of them come unusually close at times that I was wearing a nonfoody phero blend. True, no carnivores that I know of, but the deer and rabbits and squirrels still spook just as easily when I approach them. Mara would have more in-depth knowledge of whether Stone Labs (or anyone else) has researched this, but I'm not even sure animals can pick up human pheromones and subconsciously "read" them the same way we can.
  19. You and me both! I'm a dark and creepy type (heh ) so of course that's what I gravitate toward. Not that I don't have plenty of gorgeous lighter scents in my collection because I definitely do, but I have a magnetic attraction to the dark and mysterious ones. They're just very "me". I don't think they're inappropriate for daytime at all; honestly I don't think anything is inappropriate for daytime so long as you don't wear enough to choke the entire office.
  20. Um....QG was kind enough to send me a sample to try on my guy, but I think I'm going to need an entire bottle for myself. It's that good. I amp vanilla, so of course I amp the vanilla here so this is definitely not ubermasculine on me. I love the juxtaposition of warm, sensual vanilla and wood with cool leather. Maybe it's the earth and motor oil notes that are contributing to the "cool" aspect, I have no idea, but whatever it is it's amazing and I'm going to make it MINE.
  21. I'm normally careful when it comes to peach, because sometimes it goes to pure Sweet 'N Low on my skin, but this one? Not at all! I think the buttercream, caramel and honey really help balance it out and give it this dreamy, creamy finish without being too heavy for hot weather. I got the BAM version so now I know exactly what I'm wearing to see my guy next weekend. Heh.
  22. Okay, I'll admit that I didn't really expect to like this. I was leery of the honeysuckle and vetiver. But you can't smell them at all! When I first dabbed this on my arm, my nose was already worn out from testing everything else so I could barely smell everything. Maybe 15 minutes later, I picked up this wonderful cotton candy scent with something of a berry-ish underotne, and realized it was coming from Sweet Chic! I think the florals and woods are what keep this from venturing into cloying territory, but they don't come out and smack you in the face or clash with the candy aspect. The chocolate adds to this part; it doesn't go head-to-head with the cotton candy, just adds a little extra something for depth. Something I thought wouldn't work at all might just make its way into a full bottle.
  23. I barely needed to read the notes to know this was going to be delicious, but I was right. Delicious. This is not a cloying candy raspberry but a realistic, juicy tart raspberry that balances the sweet vanilla-coconut cream perfectly. No plastic coconut here! This one smells thick and creamy, and that quality is only elevated by the vanilla. I don't specifically smell amber but I'm sure that's the grounding aspect to this scent, which helps the foody notes stick around longer. I was seriously fighting all urges to lick it off.
