I just placed my order.....so worth it.....OMFG THE LABEL FOR STRANGE ATTRACTORS HAS AN AMAZON PARROT ON IT why did I not notice this before? I'd still get the scent even if the label had no pic at all. But that could be Lestat's cousin, that's a Blue Front on there and he's a Yellow Nape!

I second that. And I love that smell. I have one from Possets with a note like that and it smells so damn good on me. This is one will be a bottle, no-brainer.

Holy of holies. Now before I start actually reviewing this let me say I had an idea for a pumpkin donut PE swirling around in my head for quite some time, and I hadn't even thought of the cream filling, just straight-up pumpkin donuts. Let me just say I'm glad I procrastinated because this is miles better than that would have ever been. This is the perfect deep-fried-crispy-glazed-crust with creamy pumpkin cake inside, stuffed with droolworthy vanilla cream. No greasy fried smell, just that fresh crispy goodness on the outside. Sounds simple but it's incredible. Love love LOVE!

I've had bread pudding before, and this has that same creamy delicious vibe but with apple cider in the mix! SO good. The spices don't amp to death but give it that just-right touch of warmth. I'm so glad the cardamom doesn't stomp all over everything in this as cardamom sometimes can with my skin; the type of cardamom used here has a bit of a woody-spicy vibe that goes perfectly with everything else. The cream and vanilla notes just make it all dreamy and decadent, very much like that calorie-laden monstrosity for the heart we call bread pudding, but without calories.

This definitely has that Sparkle Fuchsia vibe--seriously, I LOVE all of Mara's SF variations--but with a stronger cherry note than strawberry. Like EOSP said that cherry is reminiscent of Jubilee, with its delicious juicy tartness. It's like creamy cherry marshmallows on top of pumpkin pie filling, all covered in sparkling pink sugar that may be sweet, but never cloying. The pumpkin here is not a spicy pumpkin--maybe the barest hint of spice but it doesn't amp--but s mooth, creamy pumpkin that blends perfectly with the other notes. Another one of those I want to eat. No-brainer!

Yum. This is more than just chocolate-covered raisins--the sexiness the black amber adds is something delicious and unexpected. The raisin note definitely has a "purple" quality about it, but doesn't go cloying on me like straight-up grape or wine notes sometimes can. The chocolate and amber balance out its sweentess perfectly. This kind of has the same vibe as Ann's Brown Sugared Black Amber, the shadowy sexiness of dark amber with the delicious bite of something foody, except this is a totally different scent. I can only imagine that the more it ages with that amber, the deeper and more mysterious it will get.

BECAUSE THE NIGHT I want that for the name alone that song.....OMG NEED MOAR UNISEXY I have the original and bemoaned not getting another one before it sold out....Sex & Violins lol I play the piano but I hope that has notes I like too for the name alone again! ETA: for MDC and anyone who hasn't tried Unisexy, on me it's more sandalwoody-vanilla, just a hint of tobacco, but it's definitely not the dominant note.

This is the most excited I've been for Pheromas because I actually have someone to test them on this time *snicker* not like I'll actually tell him my perfume is spiked. I hope there's another Lumina one, I always seem to have a good time wearing that stuff.

I love this not only because it's beautiful, but it won't go off on my currently PMSing chemistry. Soft, ethereal vanilla musk, a very "white" scent. It's a cousin to my beloved Crystallized Sugar web, except whereas that one is a little more sticky wtih the benzoin this one is a bit more powdery--the pleasant, comforting kind of powdery quality that I like. I'm so glad that I finally have my own bottle after wanting this one since I first read about the original!

Mara, I just want to thank you for that ubergenerous treat bag!!! They will be stashed safely away from Lestat's beak, that's for sure. You're awesome!!!

I got a sample of this because somehow I think it might end up not being manly at all on me. Most pumpkin combos with wood in them aren't (like BPAL's The Changeling), even if it's cedar which is usually The Ungodly Cedar of Death in other circumstances, so we'll see! I amp pumpkin and generally most sweeter notes so it just might end up being unisex-to-feminine on my skin. If it is too masculine I'll give it to my 16-year-old cousin and tell him it will make him into a man faster.

Ohhhhh delicious. You know what this reminds me of? That heavenly all-consuming fragrance that rises up from the saucepan when I melt dark chocolate for chocolate-covered strawberries. Not too sweet and downright sensuous. The musk, like that in Pumpkin Musk and Caramel musk, is a pretty neutral skin musk, nothing heavy like civet or muskaro or anything like that. It's perfect swirled with the bittersweet chocolate, and pretty irresistable.

As a pumpkin fiend I can't tell you how much I love this. It's not one of those really heavy musks (like civet) that can sometimes go very wrong on me--this is a veil of skin musk infused with comforting, yummy pumpkin and a sprinkling of spice. It's almost a clean scent, like a clean warm scent which is the perfect autumn counterpart to something like, say, Sneaky Clean even though the two are nothing alike. There is something about the feel of this, though, that mirrors that kind of clean feeling. I know it's hard to imagine clean and pumpkin in the same bottle but somehow Mara managed it, and it's amazing.

I only have one raisin fragrance (Black Mouse from Possets) and it is fabulous. I don't know what it is but something about that raisin note smells SO GOOD on my skin and doesn't have a tendency to go cloyingly sweet like some grape and wine notes do. I have absolutely nothing in my stash close to this though--Raisinets, with black amber?! I already know it's a winner.

Yeahhh..........me too. Y'know what, I'm going to Comic Con next week, I really need to hang on to some extra cash. If there are any leftover PEs I'll keep my eye on them, but I'm sure the nerds among us know what it's like to stumble on Cthulhu slippers you just HAVE TO HAVE.

Ugh I have to wait till Wednesday to pull the trigger on these two days can't pass soon enough!!! And seconding (thirding? fourthing?) the bat love, my first Halloween costume was a bat. At least it was the first Halloween costume I picked for myself. I was told that as a toddler my mother put me in this hideous flower princess costume. When I was in kindergarten I got my revenge when my aunt took me to shop for a costume and asked if I wanted to be a fairy or a princess (again) or something else saccharine like that and I shouted "Bat! BAT!" When my mother saw the costume she was horrified and shook a finger at my aunt, but my aunt simply shrugged.

ZOMG. SPIDER SILK IS BACK never thought we'd see the likes of that again! I am getting the bottle set for sure, but I already knew that.
