  1. I'll keep an eye out for you there, I probably didn't see you before because I wasn't too active these past couple months and now that Halloween is in full swing I'm back. Of the GC, definitely Snake Oil, Dorian, O, Jack, Perversion...Black Forest and Old Scratch both end up a tad masculine on me. I agree with the others that in LP Land some notes (like for me, cedar and lemongrass) that normally don't work on you may actually cooperate. Depends on the blend.
  2. Welcome Platypuss!! I'm also a huge foodie haha. It's not that foodies are the only thing I like but they're definitely up there among my favorites. And yes, in November ("Pheromas" as it's affectionately called around here) there are phero samples available which are especially great if you haven't had much experience with pheros but want to experiment. Who are you on the BPAL forum? Except for the NA forum where my username is Kauket, I'm Invidiana here there and everywhere.
  3. Awwwwwww thank you!!! Lestat can't say "thank you" but he can call you a moron in Greek LOL. He's a Yellow-Naped Amazon, very true to his name (after Anne Rice's vampire Lestat) because the bugger can really bite. And I was right you had birds, they sound adorable!! Birds are such amazing and intelligent creatures. Lestat will often talk in context! Can't wait to see your pics of them! By the way you don't have to reply separately to every single post--just click the Multiquote button for however many you want to reply to, then "Reply" in the end. Makes life waaaay easier.
  4. Welcome SweetBeakz! I have to ask, because of your username....do you have any birds? The parrot on the label of Communication Potion is my Lestat. I'm actually the opposite of you in the sense that my skin doesn't eat oil that quickly, but if it's an un-pheroed blend you can always rub some in your hair (you never, ever want to get cops in your hair).
  5. Welcome Dreamer! LOVE Coco Honey, Agent XXX and the Buttercream Peach! Sounds like you're into the foodies, then, or am I wrong? Anyway you're going to find plenty of smelltastic wonders here!
  6. On the way w00t!!! Now I have to decide which to try first...
  7. Welcome Anonymous2F! I was thinking if you like pheros and aren't a perfume person, try Sneaky Clean--it's like a phero'd "non-perfume perfume."
  8. So I finally got those 4 PEs I mentioned earlier: Lina's Candied Violet Fluff Lina's Autumn Leaves Cinnamon Vanilla Musk Tyvey's Peony Crunch Cake and some from the Spell Collection! Communication Potion Breath of Nirvana samples of BFF Potion, Whisker Wishes, Pro-Create and Glamour Puss
  9. Deliciously Wicked!!! That suits me much better than Cuddle Bunny LOL (not to mention DW is one of my favorite LPs of all time!)
  10. Welcome Blackcat! I backtracked to read your first post and you sound a lot like me, into both the dark and foody scents. I love how LP does a lot that are a mix of dark and foody or deepy sexy and foody, so you'll be in heaven here!
  11. Creamy, slightly fruity coconut deliciousness! This one actually covers the cops really well despite the fact that it isn't a dark honey or resin. It's like a banana-coconut cream pie without the crust. Banana cream pie is one of those things I won't eat but love the smell of in perfume, and this one is sweet (as it should be) but not sickeningly sweet as some banana scents can turn out. LP's have never done that to me though. And now you guys are giving me a Charo earworm.
  12. Weeeelll.....I already reserved 4 of the August PEs so I'm going to really try--I swear I'll try! --to be selective when it comes to anything else, at least this month. I'm eyeing the attraction potions (Smitten Kitten, etc.) because I have a feeling those are going to be sexy or foody or possibly both and that's right up my alley.
  13. I'm in a relationship now, but beforehand I never felt guilty because I had certain timing rules I laid out. I never wore a phero on the first date with anyone. Two reasons for this: first, I didn't really know if the guy would have enough boyfriend potential to go any further than that (and if he didn't I didn't need him getting too friendly), and second, I didn't want him forming a first opinion of me under the influence of a phero and then being confused or even disappointed when I didn't wear one. Even on the first date with my current bf I wore one of my PEs, nothing pheroed. He was still highly drawn to the scent alone though--it had him sniffing my ear.
  14. Oh he sings, and how! You should see him when he's getting blow-dried (I know, the image of a parrot getting blow-dried...) he loves it so he just bursts into every single song he knows. Cheesy--there are 2 videos of him in my journal under "The Lestat Chronicles", one of him doing "BIRDbusters!" and the other one of him getting scratched and puffing up. Which one is your photo? BB I know which one is yours, obviously, freaking adorable!
  15. Loving the Lestat label!!!! That bird and his shenanigans. With intelligence to match the average human preschooler, it's no wonder parrots were long considered to be familiars. I am convinced my Yellow-Naped Amazon, Lestat, is a human being in a green feathered body. He has communication down to a science. Not only does this bird talk, he has an entire iPad-worthy playlist. His repertoire consists of, among other things, lines from Those Were the Days from All in the Family, Eddie Money's Take Me Home Tonight, Guns 'N Roses' I Used to Love Her, Lynyrd Skynyrd's That Smell, the Ghostbusters theme, and Chilly Down from Jim Henson’s Labyrinth. He even attempts opera sometimes (that doesn’t go very well). You don't own these birds; they own you. Lestat talks back, often in context, and isn’t shy about telling the homo sapiens what he wants. When I walk out of the room he follows me in a huff snapping “Hey! Hey! Where you goin’ huh? Whatcha doin’?” and if he demands people food, he goes “You’re gonna get gourmet!” When I’m leaving the house, he raises a scaly foot, waves and says goodbye. He’s the one who tells me when he wants to go to bed, not the other way around (“You wanna go goodnight? Goodnight Lestat!”) There's nothing like a creepy disembodied voice saying goodnight when you walk past his cage in the middle of the night. Lestat is also bilingual--he can call you a moron in Greek.
  16. One each of LadyV’s Violet Fluff, Lina’s Autumn Leaves, and Cinnamon Vanilla Musk please! I give in, I'd like to claim one of Peony Crunch Cake too.
  17. Yep. Pheros are a mood-enhancer, and in conjunction with putting yourself in a certain state of mind, they can really give you a boost when you need it. Of course I have to be the weirdo who gets a shot of confidence in the arm from cops and all those heavy sex pheros so I use discretion with that (read: only with either my bf or individuals who won't react, like women, family or gay men). Lumina doesn't turn me into a walking creep magnet so if I'm going out somewhere, like a bar, where there are bound to be some characters I know I'm safe with that.
  18. But one thing I will never understand is [spoilered for my mind in the gutter] why men think they taste good. I mean, come on, what are we the endless chocolate fountain at Golden Corral or something? FFS
  19. I will never be able to listen to the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour the same way again.
  20. I completely agree. Octave, I know coming up with clever names is all for fun, but you need to be careful. The stereotype Tyvey is referring to is an underlying notion that started in the--correct me if I'm wrong--30s? I believe and still somehow hasn't been extinguished in the US today, especially among white men. There is a fine line between plain ol' sexual innuendo humor and something that could really end up being offensive. edit for typo, Invi is generally dysfunctional before noon
  21. Welcome Fleur! Reading your scent preferences, you MUST get Fleur de Vanille! It has the perfect balance of soft florals and sweet vanilla.
  22. I decided to take a chance on this one because I LOVE maple and caramelized sugar notes, although lemongrass can be iffy. Happy to report it doesn't disappoint! Actually the lemongrass gives it a pleasant bit of tang but doesn't amp to the Many-Tentacled Lemongrass of Doom that sometimes happens wtih other scents. The maple and caramelized sugar notes make me want to lick it, they're so realistic, and the sweet amber blends with them seamlessly and adds depth. Beautiful!
  23. This is warm and creamy, doused in sensual honey. It reminds me of a denser, foodier version of Claudia's Honey Vanilla Musk from some years back. The honey is like that kind nof honey in Glistening Buttons or OCCO SLF, really thick and golden and sexy, supported by that creaminess from the milk and whipped cream notes and a comforting warmth from the bread note. So delicious.
  24. Holy crap. This.....this is a deep, dark, mysterious, bodacious sexgasm. Like Dolly said, the sugar adds just the right amount of sweetness without turning cloying or overpowering. Wet, I get a lot of the resins up front, and as it dries down the patchouli and sandalwood come thorough like a sexy shadow. There is also a smoky undertone to it that intensifies that feel. There is nothing more to say but LOVE.
  25. I LOVE La Fleur!!! Some rose-based scents can be too overpowering for me but that one is divine. I know I'm probably playing a broken violin here but I'm another one for LP Green. NOT your average green scent, not at all. I can't even put my finger on what makes it so amazing but it just is.
