  1. Is the sandalwood more the sand witch / unisexy kind (which is perfumey and sometimes seems sharp to/on me) or the creamy night of delight / sensual harmony kind (which seems creamy to me)?
  2. OMG I can take no credit for the (floating) carpet-swan thing other than remembering it because it is SO PERFECT. It was vladmyra: http://lovepotion.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=6626&page=18&do=findComment&comment=339366
  3. so interesting - I don't get the same "pretties" selfies (if I wear too much, the opposite, in fact) but at a social event the other day it tipped me into feeling super sociable and gabby and big-hearted toward people I don't like - that latter effect being one I don't recall getting with this before. It did not produce the usual carpet-swan or close-talking effects. I am trying to think if I was wearing more or less than usual - I think a little less...
  4. To my taste this is the most platonic-ideal expression of a rose I think I've ever enjoyed from LPMP and I know what a statement that is. No brainer fb. There is something fresh about it - especially when it kept making me think of iced white tea. ?? I know.
  5. I don't wear Leather often as it feels too powerful for comfort, and can tip me into being super short tempered, especially if I haven't slept enough. Yesterday that was the case but I felt it was work the risk. Some may recall the insufferable condescending, patronizing, know-it-all, authority-by-disagreement SO of my good friend. Knew I'd be seeing him yesterday, so I Leathered him (a tiny thin grudging blob from the only Leather I have, a vial of the heavenly Absinthe of Malice). Though it still did not make me a huge fan of his, thanks clearly to the Leather he acted almost completely like a normal person, with only the tiniest, occasional shadings of condescension - nothing compared to his usual way - and thus he did not enrage me into wanting to strangle him the way he usually does. 6. agreed, no stabby sourness or bitter peel in this grapefruit - it's extremely well behaved - first thing it reminded me of was atomic mandarin - actually thought it was manadarin! Being a food ho my nose kept wanting to push the non-foodiness of the vanilla in an ice-cream direction in its mind - to be more like a creamsicle - but as it is the non-foodiness keeps it very wearable and more like a believable skin scent, for example.
  7. I wouldn't mind an itty set could I please reserve a madam president? Thank you!
  8. Nzzzgqksfomg this is fantastic. On me it's quite sandalwood forward but a kind that I like (some are piercing or headachey or angular on me), or it's something the other notes are doing even though I don't recognize them. Wet it reminded me most of Sensual Harmony. It is MUCH sweeter than I expected, creamy-sweet on top. If a fabric could be foody this would be it. The texture on this is INTENSE. Like if a very strong dense pale gray silk could be turned into a soft taffy or fudge. ETA in dry down the black pepper peeks out but it's like a black pepper syrup, not sneezy powdery. My love of black pepper is borderline sexual so this additional element peeking in and out makes my eyes roll right back in my head. This fairly screams for LFM imo. I think I need to make me a little spray......
  9. In the vial it was quite down-the-line, refreshingly minty and clean, but as usual with anything even remotely unisex (or even not) it has tilted to the masculine side on my skin, and my nose as often with such scents announced "Irish Spring" regardless of how much or little it smells like Irish Spring. I LOVE the musk in here. Prrrrrr
  10. The cthulhu pie is freaking hilarious. The rosewood tilts this surprisingly unisex or even masculine on me. For some reason it has a thick blue-purple gel-like consistency in my mind and it could be a really cool European men's bath gel / shampoo etc., the way Aesop does unexpected traditionally women's notes like rose for unisex/men. As soon as I put it on and while it was wet I felt a cool, actually almost cold rush of energy like a brisk wind....trippy!
  11. Hi, may I please reserve an itty set ? thank you

    Just Desserts

Slathered this and have been rewarded all morning with a huge intoxicating cloud of unholy union of cobbler bursting with bubbling syrupy bright red cherries and creme brulee. Produced whiplash doubletakes from more than one stranger. Went to see doctor who muttered "whoa, smells good" when he got close and then ended the appointment abruptly This is one of those that smells different when you snoof close up vs. the cloud - when I snoof it is steadily ... hm, not quite plasticky, but sort of like paper that might be about to burn. Not unpleasant, just very different from the huge, gooshy desserty, almost-visible cloud.
  13. I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooove rosemary so no surprise I swooned as soon as I put it on. It's wonderfully salty - I loooooooove salt - and even though my brain passingly insists on inferring slightly-charred lamb chops from time to time it is somehow dead sexy. the combo of rosemary and lavender is fantastic. To me this is straight up unisex. I would chomp right down on any dude wearing this & not let go.
  14. This is gooey coochy crunchy heaven. It's very dense and chewy smelling. I asked for Compromising Positions patch and it is unmistakably that. MR it's funny you say coffee about the toffee, as from time to time it is reading as a light frothy mocha on me - just peeks in and out. I also got peeks of the texture of CJ's Treacle Trollop for those who know that one. Esp in later drydown I get a tiny bit of saltiness, in a salt-in-your-hot-chocolate way - I think because of the combo of patch and maple. In very late drydown the patch is lasting the longest, with a little bit of melted milk chocolate. THANK YOU MARA for these absolute beauties!!!!
  15. I don't even know where to begin with this. It has that classic LP fruity-floral thing that no one does like LP, very harmonious - other than the bursting very sweet grapefruit out front initially, I would not have been able to pick out any individual notes, not even freesia which is one of my very very favorite smells. It's so harmonious that at points it feels creamy, like the hard fruit swirl candies that taste like heavy cream. Interestingly, beginning to end, I can detect the effect - even though I can't quite pick it out discretely - of the juicy green freesia stem. I think that that is what is making it smell interestingly luxurious and extravagant ... especially in the early drydown it unexpectedly puts me in an "18th century princess in silk-over-crinoline" feeling. It had a LACE-like effect of making me grin uncontrollably and want to burst into song... need to look up the Intents that go with the notes. It gave me images of very bright sunshine, and twirling parasols of orange, pink, and dark yellow. I want to slather this and flit about wearing EVER AFTER butterfly wings. I did smear a bit of it accidentally with Black Cat's Cottage, which combo is ....... shall we say, not recommended
  16. Hey Beccah would you please unlock the threads for my PEs? I am salivating over them and would like to report thanks!
  17. YAY! All the labels are so pretty. My PEs' notes were: "Tyvey's Bermuda Breakfast - super girly pink grapefruit on top, super ripe passionfruit, some freesia (the heady, honeyed, yellow kind), and a little bit of the green stems of the freesia" ... another attempt to bottle a memory via LPMP olfactory poetry And the other = "maple sugar, crunchy toffee, gooey melted marshmallow, anchored with compromising positions patchouli" ... while I was having a random attack of dessert cravings
  18. I bigly slathered this today and impulsively also smooshed a lot of Sugared Coconut with it and it was GLORIOUS
  19. Well that sounds freaking fantastic
  20. Wore probably a tiny bit too much of this to work today. The scent is dripping lush to die for golden-honey drenched apricots so I blame that fact was a little dazed and spacey at first. Had meeting with a very EST-sensitive colleague and I kept catching myself somewhat mooning at him and he was supportive of me, and divulged a fair bit more about some things than I would have expected. On the nose.
  21. I love the magical meaning of gunpowder in black fyre
  22. IM HERE, BUT DED (thematically appropriately) HIGHLARIOUA I PREDICT BLACK FYRE IS LIKE RED FYRE BUT WITH ANISE/BLACK LICORICE
  23. Don't know why I thought I'd be able to be GOOD and not get Lina's latte, nonsense. May I reserve one of those, and a Seon's cozy please. Thank you!!
