  1. Ok. I don't like reviewing scents that I don't like. But Mara said to do it and she seems to be running the show around here. I was soooo looking forward to this but it soooo didn't work on me. Of course I loved it at first because I LOVE cherry!!!!! Then it turned evil. And it was a very familiar evil so I did a little research...(yeah I don't have to be at work until 11:00 today...lots of time). It was the same piercing smell that I didn't like in Egg 2011, Scented Cougar, Lady Frost and Adriennes Tangy Ylang. When comparing these five scents I came up with two possible culprits. White Musk and White Amber. They all contain both except for Lady Frost only contains White Amber. So. Do I stay away from both in the future? I don't know. All I know is it completely overtook the cherry in this on me. I would like to try something with just White Musk in it to see if I am ok with just that so I can blame it on the White Amber because I see that Tyvey is considering a Mango, Marshmallow, White Musk PE. If anyone knows which (or both) is causing that piercing smell in these scents please enlighten me!
  2. Ahhh....This is always just a breath of fresh air to me! I got this when it came out as a Christmas release and obviously it was intended as a Christms scent but as much as I loved it I couldn't "get into" it in the cold weather. I wanted cozy comfy warm scents and this was just a little too bright at the time. As soon as early spring hit I pulled this out and it was perfect! Another bright cheerful scent I use for mood lifting. It is like being in a fresh pine forest in spring when it is still a tad chilly but the sun is peaking through the powdered sugar snowfall! I swear I smell lemon every time I put it on. I don't know if that is part of the bayberry smell or edelweiss flowers but I think that is what gives that spring/summer feel to it. It dries down to a soft powdered sugar lemon flower yum yum on me.
  3. I know I already wrote a "semi review" of this scent but after wearing it all day yesterday I would like to make another attempt. I still can't really describe the scent except for sweet and delicious with "something" in the background that I can't identify. That must be the sage or these Copal Resins which I had to Google and discovered were tree resins which were used for incense burning by pre-Columbian Mesoamerica cultures....(and the word "copal" is derived from the Nahuatl language word "copalli" which means "incense"...just FYI, it might come in handy for Jeopardy or some such thing). Maybe everyone already knows this but me!! Never heard of it. Anyway, I can at least describe how the scent makes me feel. Everyone in their right mind knows that Marigold and Amaranth is my "go to" scent for mood lifting, I practically use it medicinally for depression or just anytime I need a lift. Song of the Desert is just as effective for this purpose. Something in there gives me the same mood lifting, attitude adjustment. It is such a happy ENTHUSIASTIC scent. This is definitely full bottle for me and anyone who needs to be lifted up at times. But there is no need to rush out and purchase this right away. I would appreciate if you could stall a bit as I cannot order for several weeks and Mara is already holding my Rainbow Falls for me. I think you will appreciate it more if you have to wait for it anyway... PS...I also tried it with Occo White and that was absolutely TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!!
  4. Yep! Perfect review of this scent and phero combo! I'd like to buy the whole world a bottle!!!! (They should have pumped it through the vents after that hockey game!!) And THANK YOU Joc!!!
  5. Actually I said "Thank You! It is a special edition...it is $200 a bottle!!" He was like, "Oh, wow." (got nervous, didn't know how to get out of buying it for me at that point.) Of course I told him I was kidding and told him he was more than welcome to buy it for me when I place my next order...
  6. Oh yes! Rainbow Falls is very addictive! I have to force myself not to wear it to work everyday because I don't want to use up my sample before I can put my next order in. I also want to wear it to every summer social event I have coming up so I must use with caution. I wore it to a BBQ last night, picked up my friend on the way (a guy I go to the beach with a few times every year) and he shrieked "the beach!!" as soon as he jumped in the car. "It smells like the beach in here!! Is that an LP??" (he's so silly, he doesn't even know what LP means) He was very excited and said he would like to buy it for me. I wonder if that was the Treasured Hearts talking??
  7. Ohhhh! That is very cool...I hadn't seen this! I would not trust myself to whip something up either but I WAS wondering if I was going to be able to get the special TH with Alpha-nol that is in Rainbow Falls in another scent someday!
  8. I for one cold never get tired of your Cuddle Bunny stories! I have no idea why I keep bumping it from my orders. I have wanted this one from the very beginning. I keep getting seduced by new scents and screwing a bottle of Cuddle Bunny out of its proper home!!
  9. Thanks guys! You can go a whole week without anyone thinking you've said anything remotely interesting and then you come to LPMP, post a review and you're told you've said something beautiful and wonderful and touching. This is my favorite place! Everyone here makes everyone feel important. @Tyvey...I agree about the impact of these scents and pheros...I think if I told anyone outside of this forum just how much they have helped me cope they would suggest I see a shrink. I have never tried the regular Treasured Hearts so I wonder how different the effects will be from this, as Beccah pointed out, with the extra A-nol added...I don't want to take any chances as this blend combined with the scent has such great results for me so this has been bumped to the top of my next months order. Oh! And as I found out yesterday, if you have to go somewhere straight from work this is the perfect substitute for a shower.... Thank you again Potion Master and Le Wiz! You guys are magick!!
  10. I wore this to work for the first time yesterday and I loved it. The scent is as everyone has said fresh, clean and shampooey...not my most favorite of the month but let"s face it, it had some stiff competition. There is definitely a place in my collection for it, I will wear it when it is just too damn hot for anything else, or when I can't decide what to wear as it is an easy everyday spritzer. Light enough to layer with a lot of things too, I imagine. I layered it with Marigold and Amaranth yesterday and it was delightful. I woke up in a funk and the two scents do seem to lift my spirits. Which brings me to the phero... I try not to wear pheros (especially for the first time) when I am in too bad of a mood, I feel it puts too much pressure on the phero to work miracles, BUT since I was only in a halfway bad mood yesterday I decided to give it a shot. I had two new clients coming in and I really like to be "on" for them. I spritzed about a half hour before the first new client came in and then forgot about it. All I can say is we had a great time together, this phero definitely got me out of my funk and made me feel friendlier and perkier than I was feeling to start out. It wasn't like a bouncing off the walls giddy good mood like Cougar does sometimes when I wear it to work but more of just a " genuine, comfortable, everything is good" vibe. Now I don't know this lady enough to know how she is normally but I felt like we bonded and I had had a good time with a friend by the time she left. This does happen with new clients sometimes anyway so who knows if it was the phero or not, BUT it happened with the next new client too, so...add that to the fact that I KNOW it lifted me up and made me less agitated I would say Treasured Hearts affects me exactly as it is described. At the end of the day, when I was closing up I thought, " something about myself today reminded me of my old self." Several years ago before a few shitty things happened I always felt much lighter and fun with people and yesterday, despite a slow start, I felt a a lot like that again!! This is really odd because I am always trying to go back in my mind and figure out how I can get back to that feeling. Again, not to put too much pressure on the phero, but it was just great to feel that way even for one day. I think I have discovered the phero that is just "me".
  11. Yes, I have also noticed that if I am already in a fairly good mood Sparkle Fuschia completely puts me over the edge! I love that joyous feeling I get with it and pass it on to everyone around me. I usually layer it with Occo White I have my best days at work wearing this combo. I haven't even tried Perfect Match yet, I should go read those reviews...I like the idea of instant warm!fuzzy!joy!
  12. GRRR... THIS SCENT IS RUINING EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! I hate when I put the best one on first. I specifically smell them all in the vials and choose a "middle of the road" one to start. Not what I think will be my FAVORITE and not what I think will be my LEAST favorite. I put that one on and try to calmly swipe from there until it eventually turns into a swiping frenzy, but I like to start out with some sort of controlled system. Anyway, sometimes the system goes down. Like when the "middle of the road" one magically morphs into THE BEST ONE!!!!! Then it is SYSTEM FAILURE because nothing can compare to the first one and I have to put them all away and start over tomorrow. My nose has been ruined by Song of the Desert already. I could cry. The worst thing is that I can't even tell you what it smells like. I don't know what this is. I am wasting your TIME, dear reader, for I cannot put into text what I cannot describe to myself. I can only tell you that as frustrating as this smelling session has become, this scent and I will be extremely happy together.
  13. Awww...Thank you Honeybee!! I am glad you had a sample on hand!!
  14. I love Elixir of Silver. It was one of the first full bottles I ordered. The scent, the magickal ingredients and the tranq potion make this one of the most effective LPs I own for the intent. It is so like coming home and being wrapped in a cozy comforter and put to bed by a mother or a loving friend that doesn't ask too many questions about why you are sad or why you just want to be left alone. When I got it I had just had a breakup and had moved into a little bungalo all by myself. For the first time in years I was going to bed alone and waking up alone. I cried every night to sleep and as soon as I opened my eyes in the morning. I was so sad and lonely back then!! I got Elixir because I loved the warm woody scent and the magickal ingredients of protection and the story that Luna wrote to accompany it. I knew nothing of pheros and so I didn't really pay attention to the fact that it had the tranq potion in it but it really did work so magically at soothing and calming me down emotionally at night. I don't associate this scent with the sadness I was experiencing at the time but with the sense of calm it gave me. I don't have many sad nights anymore but I had one last night and this one did not let me down. For me it is more effective than Teddy Potion. It doesn't knock me out with sleep, but it relaxes and allows me to just be by myself, watch a movie and comfortably drift off. This is one I will be ever grateful to Mara and team for brewing up and highly recommend everyone at least have a sample hanging around to pull out for these emotional emergencies.
  15. FOR THE RECORD: I have not actually stolen from loved ones so that I can afford more big bottles...I simply added $25 on to some money my ex already owed me so that I could get my bottle of LP Spring 2011. I did not see any other way around it!!! He owes me far more than this and I swore to myself I would never do such a devious thing again!!! But what a rush!!!
  16. Hi Tanya! Welcome! Get ready to have a lot of fun...and a lot of stress... lying to friends so you can be left alone to read the forum, losing sleep deciding which scents you can and cannot live without, stealing money from loved ones so you can afford more big bottles. It can all become too much sometimes. I am sorry, but I wish someone would have intervened on my behalf. Now...it is too late for me.
  17. I did get a Stamps.com email this time!!!!!! I will be slathered in New Releases in approximately 2 days!!!!
  18. Yes, I also like this one much more than G&L!! I also get a sense of the fruity...could it be that almond comes off as cherry sometimes?
  19. I have no idea why, but I was inspired to throw this on yesterday, probably because my new releases are not here yet and I am craving something new...I haven't put this on since it came out last September. My, how my tastes have changed!! I gave no thought at all to this back then, all I cared about were fruity scents basically and this was WAY too crazy smelling for me!! Now I think this is absolutely heavenly!! Very sweet with the pecan at first but the darkness in the background, (Frank & Myrrh??) keep it from smelling too simple desert-y and really give it a mysterious, sexy feel. I cannot imagine men NOT wanting to eat you up wearing this. I get so many more compliments from men on these foody type scents these days than I do on my usual fruit or floral scents it seems. Although I don't really do the "seasonal perfume" thing anymore, I choose my perfume by my mood, I think I will love this even more in cooler, holiday weather. However, I will wear this out at night even now. Oh! And the staying power!! I put it on yesterday late morning, switched to Compromising Positions in the late afternoon and when I woke up this morning I smelled of Vicars and Tarts!! That was an awesome wake up call!!! Oh!! And the little plaid skirt and and tie up boots on the label? Such an outfit I wore out in the 80's.
  20. Yeah...I didn't get a Stamps email last time either. Which actually made it even more exciting when I saw my package in the box!!
  21. EEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!! I wish I hadn't waited so long to order my sampler!! All the reviews so far sound so exciting!! I am tearing my damn hair out!!!!
  22. Just ordered the sampler and forum samples of Body Paint and Sugared Frank and Myrrh...
  23. Thank you Goddesslynne!! And thank you Ishtar for your review!!! LOL! I am going out with the second guy again tonight. He's a great dancer which is another plus besides his nose. The problem with my dating is I am not looking to replace my two regulars...these others that I date usually come and go when they realize that my "Confirmed Bachelorette" status is nonnegotiable. But this "good nose" guy is really hanging in there!! I'll be sorry to see him go when he inevitably gets irritated. If I had extra money I would get That Kind of Girl boosted with Cougar I think!!
  24. "OH YEAH BABY!" is what I squealed to myself when I got into my sample of this. I ordered it based on Ishtars review and was not disappointed! I love this scent and it loves me! I have tried other blackberries and there was always something annoying about them but everything about this one is perfect. Very tart blackberry at first and throughout the wearing the brown sugar/cream comes through to balance it out and make it very sexy. Or is that the amber? I am never sure what amber really smells like so it may be that that "sexes" this one up. It never gets too pie-ish...stays fruity and very feminine. It is very grown up fruity, not little girlish at all. It's just perfect to go out in all dressed up I think. I wore it on two dates. The first guy is a regular of mine so he knows the drill...huff me and rate the LP...he said "THAT ONE IS ON MY TOP FIVE!!" The second one is new to my dating lineup but had the good sense to tell me I smelled amazing without any provocation from me. He may be added to my regular dating rotation as will this beautiful scent!
  25. LOL! A guy I date said I smelled like the Tropicana (Hotel and Casino in LV) when I wore it. I wasn't too happy about that but I know he meant it as a compliment. They pump some vanilla stuff into the air there I think and he used to love going there to gamble I guess.
